How Justin Bieber Is Allegedly Feeling About Diddy’s Sex Crimes Case

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Justin Bieber and Sean “Diddy” Combs have a lot of history in the industry together, but the pop star has no interest in revisiting it in the wake of the disturbing allegations against his former mentor and friend.

According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, Bieber, 30, wants “nothing to do” with the disgraced rapper and is looking out for his own well-being amid the fallout from the federal sex crimes charges against Diddy.

Bieber “wants to protect himself,” the insider added, claiming that the singer has been told it’s in his best interest to be removed from this scandal.

“Justin has been advised to stay as far away as possible from anything and everything related to Diddy,” the source remarked.

A separate source touched on the mental toll this situation has taken on Justin, who recently welcomed his first child, a son, with wife Hailey Bieber.

“Justin is in a hard place mentally right now,” the insider shared, noting that it’s been challenging for the two-time Grammy winner to learn about the accusations against Diddy, whom he has known since he was 15. “He has such a history with Diddy and the allegations against him have been hard to process,” the source stated.

One thing keeping the “Love Yourself” singer calm amid the chaos is being a father to son Jack Blues, who was born in August.

The source explained Justin is “thrilled to be a dad” and it’s “something he’s wanted for years.” In fact, the insider claimed, “his happiness being a dad has outweighed his anxiety about Diddy.”

Diddy’s connection to the teen idol has been picked apart in the wake of his sex crimes scandal.

Recently, a 2009 video of Justin and Diddy spending “48 hours” together resurfaced. The clip — which Justin uploaded to his official channel eight years ago — featured Diddy, now 54, telling the camera that he “can’t really disclose” what the pair were up to but stated that it was a “15-year-old’s dream.” The hip-hop mogul also quipped that he had “custody” over Justin, then 15, for the weekend.

Then, in a 2011 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Diddy made comments about how Justin should keep quiet about the time the pair spend time together. “He [Justin] knows better than to be talking about the things that he does with Big Brother Puff on national television,” the “Victory” rapper told the late-night host.

Diddy is facing sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges. Earlier in the month, 120 additional victims came forward with lawsuits accusing the music mogul of sex crimes. Diddy has denied the charges levied against him and plans to take the stand in court, according to his attorney, Marc Agnifilo.
