A Thai man was reportedly beaten unconscious by security guards and tourists outside an entertainment venue in Sattahip after an argument with his girlfriend.
The Thai man, 30 year old Peeraphat and his 28 year old girlfriend Maneeya recounted the incident to The Pattaya News, stating that they were attacked by several security guards and men in a parking lot in Sattahip district, Chon Buri province. The assault occurred around 3am on Monday, October 14.
Peeraphat has lodged a report with Sattahip police but expressed concerns about receiving justice, prompting him to bring the matter to the media. He described being at the venue with Maneeya when they had a brief argument around 3am. To discuss matters privately, they stepped outside to the parking lot, intending to leave.
During their conversation, the situation escalated, drawing the attention of nearby tourists who unexpectedly attacked Peeraphat. Subsequently, four to five security guards from the venue joined in, beating him until he lost consciousness.
“I can’t remember anything and only regained consciousness when a rescue team was transporting me to Queen Sirikit Hospital.”
The medical report confirmed he had been physically assaulted, suffered head trauma, and had a laceration on his mouth.
Sattahip police are currently collecting evidence from the scene and intend to interview witnesses, the venue owner, the manager, and the security guards involved to pursue legal action, reported Pattaya News.
