The project will connect the Dodgers Stadium to downtown LA[/caption]
10,000 fans per hour could use the new mode of transport[/caption]
And it will be built 100 feet above ground[/caption]
The proposed plan is to build a cable car that will connect the Dodger Stadium in the north of the city to downtown LA.
Dodgers chief say it would be able to carry 10,000 fans per hour and bring a quarter of the attendance to the arena.
Supporters with tickets would be able to hop on for free and enjoy stunning views of the city on the 1.2 mile ride.
The air gondola would be built 100 feet above ground, travel at 13mph and pass over the 110 freeway.
Fans would be able to get on in Central-Alameda and there would also be a stop at State Historic Park next to Chinatown.
The stunning project would help ease traffic chaos in the city, with LA grinding to a halt recently when the Dodgers, Lakers, USC games and concerts were all held at a similar time.
And surely the 2028 Olympics is also in mind.
The LA metro board of directors appear to be in favour of the grand plan and it has been cleared in court after an environmental review.

The plan could cost over $500m[/caption]
And it would ease congestion in the city[/caption]
However, there are many challenges to still overcome with the $500m cost in danger of increasing and spiralling out of control.
Plus, there are still many against the idea, including residents and environmental campaigners.
