Texas Roadhouse confirms it will raise prices again just months after increase marking fourth surge in just two years

A POPULAR chain restaurant will hike up its prices for the fourth time in just two years.

Texas Roadhouse has confirmed the prices on its menu will surge amid the cost of living crisis – with the restaurant passing the costs on to its customers.

Texas Roadhouse has hiked up its prices by 0.9 per cent for the fourth time in two years[/caption]

The most recent hike comes only eight months after the chain restaurant increased the menu for a third time in less than a year.

According to a press release issued by the chain, the price is only 0.9 per cent, a small amount compared to the 2.2 per cent surge in March 2024.

The new prices are meant to combat the rise of inflation, wages, income tax rates, and other expenditures.

Jerry Morgan, Chief Executive Officer of Texas Roadhouse said: “We are extremely pleased in such a competitive environment to report another quarter of continued traffic growth at each of our brands.

“This is a credit to the hard work of our operators who create an environment where Roadies want to work and guests want to dine.”

“Looking ahead to 2025, we once again have a strong development pipeline and as of today already have 10 of our new company restaurants under construction.

“We remain confident that this new store growth along with our planned franchise acquisition and overall capital allocation strategy will allow us to continue to generate long-term shareholder value.”

The latest price hike went into effect in late September.

Texas Roadhouse is famous for its hand-cut steaks, ribs, sides, fresh-baked bread, and margaritas.

There are currently 635 locations across the States as of June 2024.

In other foodie news, Dunkin’ Donuts has debuted two new drinks for the festive season.

Beginning November 1, America‘s largest donut and coffee brand, Dunkin’, is launching a series of beloved drinks and even new additions.

From an all-new Holiday Cookie Signature Latte and Dunkin’s first-ever Almond Croissant to the Hash Brown Brisket Scramble bowl, there’s plenty to treat yourself to.

And there’s more – the chain is also set to drop their ShopDunkin.com merch on November 1 and the return of Free Donut Wednesdays as of November 6.

This seasons, fans of the coffee brand will be able to snap up its Holiday Cookie Signature Latte that comes in both hot or iced.

The latest addition to the scrumptious menu boasts rich espresso blended with whole milk and notes of buttery cookie and toasted almond.

The latte, which is the ultimate pick-me-up, is finished with a swirl of whipped cream, a generous drizzle of caramel, as well as our favorite part – cookie butter crumbles for an extra sweet crunch to top it off.

We reckon this latte will pair perfectly with Dunkin’s new Almond Croissant – a flaky, all-butter pastry filled with delicious sweet almost paste and topped with slivered almonds.

RESTAURANT APOCALYPSE

Across the States, restaurants have been battling closures and rising costs of operations.

Food prices are on the rise, with diners paying 4% more than they did in May last year.

Amid sticky inflation, diners have been favoring home cooked meals rather than eating out at restaurant chains.

A range of restaurants have since shuttered its doors, including the likes of Red Lobster, America’s largest seafood chain, and Italian dining chain Buca di Beppo.
