ROB Gronkowski surprised the sports world after sharing he knows one of the two New York Yankees fans who interfered with Mookie Betts during Game 4 of the World Series.
The New England Patriots shared the info during an appearance on Kay Adams‘ Up & Adams FanDuel TV program on Wednesday.

The two Yankees fans got ejected in the first inning for grabbing Betts after the Dodgers outfielder made a catch in the right field stands in the first inning of the Yankees’ victory.
Gronkowski revealed that he went to college with Austin Capobianco at Arizona State University, where Capobianco played on the school’s club ice hockey team.
“Fun fact: That guy right there, grabbing Mookie Betts’ glove, was my friend in college,” the NFL icon proclaimed to Adams on Wednesday.
Adams was visibly stunned at Gronowski’s announcement.
“Let me tell you, the whole hockey team, they were absolute maniacs. They were animals — indescribable how wild these guys were,” Gronkowski continued.
“Him doing that represents him very well.
“He is all in for his teams, he is all in for the Yankees, I remember him talking about the Yankees all the time [and] how he loves them so much.
“And that describes him perfectly: Just doing whatever it takes to help his team out.”
Gronkowski then called Capobianco a “beauty” and also went on to give congratulations to him “for shining when your moment came.”
But once Adams pushed back and asked Gronk if he thought Capobianco’s actions were acceptable.
The four-time Super Bowl champion then made sure to tell viewers that he hasn’t spoken to Capobianco “in a while” and that his actions were not acceptable.
“I think it’s truly unacceptable, that act of behavior,” Gronkowski said. “…But when you’re that big of a fan, that’s what fans do.”
On Wednesday, the Yankees announced that Capobianco and the other Yankees fan will be banned from Wednesday night’s Game 5 of the World Series.
“The safety and security of players, fans and Stadium staff is the foundational element of every event held at Yankee Stadium, and it cannot be compromised,” the Yankees statement read.
“Tonight marks the final home game of year, and we want every ounce of our fans’ passion on display.
“Yankee Stadium is known for its energy and intensity, however the exuberance of supporting one’s team can never cross the line into intentionally putting players at physical risk.
“The Yankees and Major League Baseball maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward the type of behavior displayed last night.
“These fans will not be permitted to attend tonight’s game in any capacity.”
Wednesday will be the final World Series game at Yankee Stadium.
The Dodgers lead the series 3-1 and if they lose on Wednesday, there will be a Game 6 in Los Angeles on Friday night.
