Tattoo shop gets revenge on neighbor constantly towing clients’ cars with X-rated message only they can see

A TATTOO shop has taken petty revenge on a neighbor who constantly has their clients’ cars towed.

The small business, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, recently unveiled a rude mural in response to their next-door apartment building constantly reporting customer-owned cars to a towing company.

Fallen Heroes tattoo shop, which can be found along Colorado Avenue, near downtown Colorado Springs, is positioned in line with a number of parking spots located in an alley next to the shop’s main entrance.

However, these bays belong to the apartment building next to the shop.

In a report by KRDO13, shop manager Michelle Rizzuto explained that the alley and the parking spots used to be the shop’s property, but the land was bought by the apartment building three years ago – when construction for it began.

Since then, signs indicating that the property is private have been installed in the alley, specifically indicating that unauthorized vehicles parked on the premises would be towed.

After that, a tow truck company would regularly warn the shop if a client was parked illegally in side the first eight months, giving them plenty of time to warn the driver and move their vehicle.

But, in recent months, clients have had their cars towed without any warning.

This led to the tattoo shop’s angry response with the mural, which appears to display several rude images.

The mural, which was designed and painted by ‘Paes164’, a tattoo artist at Fallen Heroes Tattoo and a well-known muralist in Colorado Springs, who has painted over 100 murals within the city.

Rizzuto said: “We used to have a view. We used to have a parking lot.

“We didn’t have to worry about our clients’ cars getting towed, and so just when we kept sitting around, everybody’s response kept being, what a bunch of d****.”

Paes164 explained that the mural is intended to be a tow truck driver running over innocent people while towing a car behind it, with people travelling on hot air balloons, bikes, snowboards, and hiking to get away from the driver.

Paes164 said: “The initial thought was just kind of over how rude the apartment complex has been.

“And if we’re just going to do something to kind of just p*** them off, then we should just go full throttle.”

Rizzuto went on to explain that the shop had asked the apartment complex to display signs or paint parking spots with a ‘permit parking only’ warning.

She says that apartment management had previously told them to signs on their wall which line the parking spaces.

But Rizzuto says that another colorful mural is on that wall, which has been there for nine years – since the business opened – and that hey don’t want to cover it up.

She added: “It’s not our responsibility to mark your parking spots. It’s your responsibility.”

In a statement to KRDO13, Boardwalk Property Management, who owns the apartment building, wrote: “At 532CO Apartments, we have ample signage clearly designating the areas for resident parking only, specifically within our designated lot.

“Our towing policies apply strictly to vehicles in this lot, and we do not tow from public spaces such as the street or alley.

“If we were towing from public areas, we would be in contact with the city regarding such issues; however, this has not been a concern, as our practices comply fully with city regulations and are limited solely to private parking areas reserved for our residents.

“We understand the importance of clear communication with our neighbors and encourage businesses in the area to reach out if they have any concerns.

“To date, we have not been made aware of unresolved contact attempts, but we are more than willing to establish an open line of communication to ensure a mutual understanding.”

Ultimately, both Fallen Heroes and artist Paes164 have said they don’t want the mural to stay there forever and only want what’s best for their clients.

This comes as a driver has revealed how he snagged an enviable muscle car for just $1,300 – but extreme damages made it more trouble than it was worth.
