This time, Kelly is back in crime-fighting mode as she joins the DC Universe’s cosmic police agency.

The eight-part series centres around two intergalactic cops, John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), who are propelled into a dark mystery that grips the American heartland on Earth.

Kelly is Sherriff Kerry – Hal’s love interest.

“Her resilience, shaped by a complex past that’s hardened her resolve, anchors her when the community’s secrets begin to surface.”

The Scottish actress also starred in Broadwalk Empire, for which she was nominated for an Emmy in 2011, and a host of TV shows.

She also has an impressive movie career playing Diane opposite Euan McGregor in Trainspotting and Helena Ravenclaw in Harry Potter.

But she is well known by fans for her role as the bent cop in Line of Duty.
