Popular TV actress Sreejita De is all set to remarry her husband, Michael Blohm-Pape, after one and a half years of marriage in Church. The actress will finally tie the knot with Michael in a traditional Bengali-style ceremony on November 10, 2024. Last year, on July 1, 2023, the duo tied the knot in a Christian ceremony in Germany.
In conversation with ETimes, The Bigg Boss 16 Fame actress Sreejita spilled beans about her plans and expressed her excitement for the traditional wedding. She said, “It’s always been my dream to dress as a Bengali bride. We initially planned the wedding last November, but work and travel kept pushing it back. Now, it’s finally happening.”
Sreejita revealed that the wedding is planned in Goa as they share an emotional value for the place as they have spent enough eight months of lockdown there. “We realized we didn’t need to go out or do anything elaborate to be happy—we were content just being together.”
Further, the Sreejita shared that the wedding festivities will begin on November 9 with Mehendi and the next day Haldi and other rituals. She also expressed the emotions of Michae’s family, “Michael and his family are well-prepared for the rituals—I’ve shown them videos of Bengali weddings, and they’re excited,”
On the other hand, Michael highlighted, “We wanted to honor and respect both our backgrounds. Having created wonderful memories with our German wedding, we’re now excited to relive those emotions through a Bengali wedding.”
