The Rolling Thru Time Auto Museum, located in Tucson, Arizona, officially opened its doors to the public in May.

Put together over a two-year period, the museum aims to celebrate America’s rich history of automobiles.

Curated by car fanatic Joseph Findysz, who began collecting cars at the age of 14, the museum is a must-see for any passionate motoring enthusiast.

Joseph said: “It took us 10 years to find this 77,000-square-foot building.”

As well as housing nearly 225 vintage cars, the museum also holds other collections and even vehicles that are part of Joseph’s childhood.

Some of the cars belonged to his mom and dad, while others were the first cars of his own children.

There’s even a car that was once part of a defunct ride at Old Tucson Studios.

The biggest haul of any one vehicle is the 48 examples of the Ford Model T – one of the company’s most successful vehicles that sold more than 15 million units from 1908 to 1927.

The Model T was the first mass-affordable car ever created, and suddenly made car travel available to the middle class.

For a long time, it was the best-selling car in history until the VW Beetle surpassed it in 1972.

The museum doesn’t just hold cars either, with old toys and other bits on showcase, from Barbies and Beanie Babies to vintage cameras and firefighter gear.

Joseph added: “We have tons of stuff.”

This comes as a gearhead who visited the ‘world’s greatest car museum’ was left stunned by what he found under the hood of a 1920s Bugatti.

Upon visiting the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California – which closed earlier this year – David Tracy of The Autopian opened up on the unique collection of vehicles on the day before it shut its doors for good.

Elsewhere, an iconic classic car that was buried deep underground some 50 years ago is now seen as a time capsule experiment gone wrong.
