ANDY Reid has sent a clear message to Patrick Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest win.
The Super Bowl champions continued their dominant start to the 2024-25 NFL season on Monday Night Football.

They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-24, but only after an overtime touchdown.
That took their record to 8-0 on the year, remaining the only undefeated team in the league.
There was a worrying incident during the game where Mahomes went down injured.
He threw a touchdown pass to Samaje Perine in the fourth quarter.
But in the process he suffered an ankle problem, flaring up an issue he had earlier in the week.
Reid wanted to pull the 29-year-old out of the game, and replace him with backup Carson Wentz.
But a visibly hurt Mahomes fought back with his head coach, refusing to leave the content.
And Reid has opened up on that incident, revealing his QB wanted to “fight” him to stay on the field.
“Well, when he was being carried off, I wasn’t too easy with it,” said Reid.
“I wasn’t sure exactly where he was going to be with it.
“He might have the loosest ankles in America.
“It’s ridiculous how he can come back from those things.
“Then he’s mentally tough on top of it.
“He’s a competitor. He’s a tough kid.

“I told him I was going to take him out, and he wanted to fight me.”
Mahomes stayed on the field into overtime, marching his team on to another victory.
The Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
And Mahomes expects to be fit enough to start the showdown.
However, he does believe his ankle will swell up during the week.
And that could mean a lengthy amount of time on the treatment table.
