The Jets have had an awful start to the season, with their head coach even being fired[/caption]

That was originally going to be shown live on NBC at 8.20pm Eastern.

However, the NFL have decided to flex that game, in favor of a different showdown.

The Los Angeles Chargers clash against the Cincinnati Bengals will be on SNF instead.

The Jets-Colts match up will be moved into the Sunday, 1pm slot.

The announcement shows the huge decline in interest in the Aaron Rodgers-led Jets.

They have had an awful start to the 2024-25 season, despite much promise.

Many had predicted the team to be in the playoff spots, pushing for the Super Bowl.

However, they have had a 3-6 start, and lie second in the AFC East, behind the 7-2 Buffalo Bills.

They even fired their head coach Robert Saleh a few weeks ago.

The Jets had a full slate of primetime games at the start of the campaign, but TV interest as dwindled.

Many fans reacted with delight at the news, taking to social media site X.

One said: “Thank God, I’m sick of the Jets games.”

Another added: “Thanks god remove Jets from prime time games.”

A third replied: “Thank God!”

However, many fans wanted another game to be picked for the Sunday Night Football slot.

The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers along with Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears are both on that day.

One fan said: “Networks can protect certain games each week from being flexed.”

The NFL has the ability to move certain games into new live TV slots throughout the season, called a flex.
