Zimbabwe senior men’s ruby team staged an impressive performance on Tuesday evening, which saw them beat host United Arab Emirates 61-22 at Sevens Stadium in Dubai.
The match was part of the team’s Middle East-Asia tour, which will see them playing two games next week against South Korea on its home soil.

So good was Zimbabwe that it commanded a good 61 -22 win outside Africa in many years.
Captain Hilton Mudariki did not disappoint as he grabbed a brace in a match he marked his 49th cap.
“We are very grateful to the crowd that came to support us. We didn’t expect to feel like the home team, but the energy here was incredible.
“Things worked out very well for us today, especially with the new guys fitting in seamlessly. It was a fantastic all-round performance,” said Mudariki after the match.
Other than Mudariki, Edward Sigauke also had a good outing as he managed a hat trick in a match that saw veteran player Ian Prior on the scoresheet.
Tueday’s match saw Zimbabwe marking its return to action after a successful outing at the 2024 Rugby Africa Cup, which saw them being crowned champions.
