SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — One woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash on I-229 Saturday afternoon in Sioux Falls.
The name of the person involved has not been released pending family members’ notification.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling southbound on I-229 exiting onto I-29 South. The driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the west ditch and collided with a tree.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
