Tensions rise between the pair on the cobbles[/caption]
Fans of the ITV soap opera know that David’s wife Shona has secretly slept with the corrupt copper behind her husband’s back and so far, David seems none the wiser.
Although he has had suspicions about Shona playing away from home and sleeping with another man, Adam Barlow has been his main focus and target with Kit not even on his radar.
Over the festive period, whilst David continues to have worries about Shona and her possible cheating antics, it seems that tensions begin to simmer between him and Kit without him even knowing what he has been getting up to with his wife.
In upcoming scenes, a shocking row will break out between David and Kit.
Kit’s mother Bernie soon intervenes however and reminds Kit of how David was Paul’s closest friend in Weatherfield and brought him to the Salford suburb after their joint jail stints.
Later, when David returns home to be confronted by Max and Lily demanding answers about what has been going on with the Platt’s in recent weeks, Shona explains how David prevented her from seeing her son in a cruel and twisted move.
With tensions at an all-time high at home, David approaches Kit, hoping to dupe him into confessing to his crimes regarding Nathan Curtis,
However, a menacing Kit sees through him and decides to take the law into his own hands.
Amid fractious relations on the cobbles, it looks like David will also find himself having problems with the ghastly Radcliffe brothers – something which appears to delight Kit no end.
He tells David that he’s back on the Radcliffe brothers’ hit list and he’d better watch his back.
With the family in turmoil, Shona calls at the salon and tentatively suggests to David an evening of board games with Lily.
As Audrey shares her words of wisdom and suggests that David forgets all the stupidness and focus on his own family, will he finally listen?
