Woman claims self-defense after killing man in Houston apartment

A woman claims she acted in self-defense after a man did fatally shot in an apartment in the Houston area.

Units from the Houston Police Department responded to an apartment complex located at 6600 Hirsch Rd. around 18.15 Sunday evening.

When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department officials pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators arrested the woman at the scene for questioning and she claimed she shot the man in self-defense.

HPD officials say the woman will be interviewed by detectives, and the investigation is ongoing.
