Josh Allen robbed of never-before-seen ‘next level basketball play’ as penalty flag ruins magic Buffalo Bills moment

NFL fans were robbed of a special Josh Allen play due to an unfortunate penalty.

It feels like Allen produces a one of a kind play every week, and he did his best to create another one on Sunday.

Allen and the Buffalo Bills took part in a shootout against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, eventually winning 48-42.

In the high-scoring affair, Allen was nearly flawless, passing for 362 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

He also ran for 68 yards and two touchdowns during the game.

Allen could have had a fifth total touchdown late in the fourth quarter though, as the Bills tried to bury their opponents.

From the 10-yard line, Allen danced around in the pocket before eventually escaping.

He looked to be taking off on the run, but instead opted to pass to an open receiver in the end zone.

Allen passed the ball with both hands, looking more like a basketball chest pass than a football pass.

Unfortunately, the touchdown was nullified to a holding penalty, and the Bills were forced to kick a field goal.

The penalty didn’t stop the game’s announcers from ogling over the play, and they shared how special it was.

“They had a Final Four in Ford Field back in 2009, won by North Carolina,” Jim Nantz said.

“But this was as good a basketball chest pass as I’ve called in this building.”

Tony Romo was equally impressed with the play.

“That was Magic/Bird-esque,” he said.

NFL fans also had their minds blown, and shared their thoughts about Allen’s talents on social media.

“I think he clinched mvp today,” one fan said.
