Fashion lovers, listen up – we’re less than two weeks away from one of Zara’s hottest events of the year, another Christmas sale. If you’re a fan of the high street giant and can’t resist a saving on their affordable staples or just can’t wait to get your hands on one of the brand’s viral dupes, be sure to mark December 26 in your diary.
Many retailers will be taking part in the discount bonanza, so you can take advantage of savings on tech at Currys, bag a new mattress or stock up on your favorite skincare. For those looking for fashion bargains, Zara is the place to be (or the site to be on).
If you’re hoping to shop the brand’s popular sales event and don’t want to miss out on the best deals, I’ve rounded up all the information you need to know – thank me later.
When does Zara’s Boxing Day sale start?
Judging by last year’s event, Zara will start its Christmas Day sale on Christmas Day – a few hours head of most retailers. In 2023, the sale started at 9pm in the app and 10pm online, just in time for your annual Christmas TV binge with a glass of fizz. The official in-store sale starts on Christmas Day itself, December 26.
What discounts will be included in Zara’s Boxing Day sale?
We can’t know for sure what Zara’s Boxing Day sale will bring, but last year there were discounts of up to 40 per cent on staples and seasonal pieces. I’m hoping for savings on lots of sparkly pieces to wear through the end of the party season, cozy knits to see me through to spring and some regular straight leg jeans.
When does the Zara Boxing Day sale end?
The sales event timeline seems to change from year to year, but typically the Zara Boxing Day sale will run until December 31st, and then the January sale will take over – discounted items until they go on sale, throughout January. If you’re thinking of buying a particular piece, or see something you love in your size, my advice would be to grab it fast, as sales tend to sell out of all the best pieces.
My tips for shopping the Zara Boxing Day sale
If you’ve got some big-ticket items on your list like cashmere sweaters and coats, or sparkly numbers for a New Year’s party, you should be ready to shop online on Christmas Day or early Boxing Day morning. These pieces tend to sell out pretty quickly, followed by essentials like jeans, t-shirts and loungewear.
Right now, Zara will be busy deciding which pieces to discount, but for those of us outside the inner circle, it’s anyone’s guess what will drop in price on Christmas Day. So if it’s something you’ve fallen head over heels for, don’t wait for the sale to start ordering. If you order before Christmas but don’t need the item until the New Year, you can keep an eye on the website, and if your chosen ones get into the sale, return your original purchase.
I would also recommend creating an account and then a wishlist on the Zara app, so when the sale starts you can check their prices straight away and move them to your cart.
