A WALMART shopper couldn’t hide his frustration when the store’s checkout app appeared to malfunction.
The customer claimed a pop-up showed on the screen, and his basket was emptied.

But a Walmart shopper encountered a problem when trying to use the service[/caption]
The shopper was using the supermarket’s scan-and-go tool when the mishap happened, according to an X post.
Scan and go is an alternative way to check out items, meaning shoppers don’t have to stand in lines.
Long lines are a common complaint among shoppers.
Customers have even threatened to boycott Walmart and shop at rivals because of long lines.
Carl Tuckerson revealed he had decided to use the service when visiting his local store.
But, his experience was littered with problems.
He was frustrated by the time it took the app to load.
His problems didn’t stop there as he suddenly received a pop-up message.
Carl was told that he had lost connection before the app suddenly closed.
He claimed that all the items in his basket had disappeared.
A Walmart spokesperson responded and said they would like to assist the shopper.
They invited him to send a direct message.
The tool has also been rolled out at Sam’s Club warehouses, which is part of the Walmart family.
Complaints about scan-and-go technology are rare, and shoppers have urged wholesale chains to copy Sam’s Club’s lead.
Countless number of shoppers have begged Costco to roll out the service.
Shoppers just have to scan each item as they go about their business in-store.

Scan and Go allows shoppers to see the price of each item they check out.
Once customers have done their shopping, all they have to do is tap the checkout button on their cell phone.
Then, they must go over to a self-service machine and complete their purchases.
But, not all Walmart shoppers can use the scan-and-go feature.
The service is exclusive to shoppers who are Walmart+ members and those who are trying out the model.
Shoppers must also ensure they have their location services switched on.
This differs from Sam’s Club as its version allows shoppers to pay via the app.
