A 17 year old student suffered injuries after being stung by bees, causing a swollen lip, and subsequently taking antihistamines before riding his motorcycle home. This led to drowsiness, resulting in a crash into a streetlight post, exacerbating his injuries.

At approximately 4.40pm yesterday, December 19, the Sawang Rojanathamsathan Rescue Foundation radio centre received a report of a motorcycle accident involving a student. The crash occurred on Sukhumvit Road, heading towards Sattahip, opposite a PTT petrol station in Bang Sare, Bang Sare subdistrict, Sattahip district, Chon Buri province. The rescue team promptly responded to the incident.

Upon arrival at the scene, rescuers found the injured student, a 17 year old male, with abrasions across his body, a broken front tooth, a minor cut on his forehead, and a swollen lip. Nearby lay a Honda motorcycle, without a licence plate, toppled over after colliding with a streetlight post and sustaining considerable damage.

The rescue team provided initial first aid before transporting him to Sattahip Kilometre 10 Hospital for further medical attention.

In a statement to the police, the injured student recounted the events leading to the accident. He explained that he had been stung by bees, resulting in a noticeably swollen lip, and had taken an antihistamine to alleviate the allergic reaction, reported KhaoSod.

Shortly after, he set off on his motorcycle to return home. However, during the ride, he began to feel drowsy due to the medication. This fatigue caused him to fall asleep briefly while riding, leading to the motorcycle veering off course, hitting the pavement, and ultimately crashing into a streetlight post.
