A Russian visitor in Pattaya reported a theft involving his gold necklace, allegedly stolen by two transgender individuals. The incident unfolded in the early hours of December 22, when police received a report at 3.19am about a tourist being pickpocketed in a hotel parking lot on Soi Wong Amat, Pattaya-Naklua Road.
Upon reaching the location, officers encountered Andrei, a tourist from Russia, who was evidently upset by the ordeal. Through a translator, Andrei recounted that while he was seated outside the hotel, two people approached him on a motorcycle.
He shared that he could not remember specific details about the motorcycle, such as its model or license plate number. One of the two individuals engaged him by striking up a conversation, displaying friendliness, and even hugging and kissing him.
This interaction ended abruptly as the person returned to their companion on the motorcycle, and they quickly fled the scene, reported The Pattaya News.
Upon realising his necklace was missing, Andrei promptly notified the hotel staff, who then contacted local law enforcement. The police are currently examining CCTV footage from the vicinity to track the suspects’ movements and ascertain their identities. The value of the stolen necklace remains undisclosed.
