Walmart vows probe after shopper ‘waits 25 mins for item before being told to exit store’ despite sign saying otherwise

A WALMART shopper appeared to be left in a state of confusion when he tried to collect the item he’d ordered online.

The customer even claimed he was told to leave the supermarket in Lockport, New York, around 36 miles from Buffalo.

In an X post, Nick said he had waited in line for around 25 minutes waiting to collect an item.

That was before a worker apparently told him that pickup services weren’t offered.

Nick shared a picture from inside the supermarket, and there was a sign that read “Pickup.”

Then, he claimed he was forced to wait outside the supermarket at the dedicated pickup places.

He said this meant another 20-minute wait.

“What is the point in having this sign inside?” he blasted.

A Walmart spokesperson replied and it appeared the company’s open to launch an investigation.

“We want to investigate what happened, Nick,” they said.

“Can you DM us with your contact information?”

Pickup services are offered by several retailers, not just Walmart.

Customers just have to place an order online and choose a timeslot.

They will receive an email when their order is ready for collection.

But shoppers must complete a series of steps when they arrive at their local supermarket.

They must park in a spot that has been dedicated for curbside pickup.

Then, shoppers must select the “I’m parked” option.

Customers must input their parking spot number and their car’s color.

A Walmart worker will eventually bring out the order.

Nick was furious after being stopped in his tracks, but he’s not the only shopper aggrieved by the company’s pickup service.

The U.S. Sun reported how another shopper had to wait one-and-a-half hours for their delivery.

We reported how a shopper had to wait one hour to get an item – even though they didn’t step foot in the store.

It is not just Walmart that has attracted criticism when it comes to collection services.

A Target shopper was left baffled when customers who had arrived later than them received online orders quickly.
