He finished by saying: ‘Next week we’re filming BGT in Manchester – I’m looking forward to seeing you then. PS. That’s why I wear these glasses!’

On Instagram, he wrote: “You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens.
‘Liam, I am truly devastated. Heartbroken. And I feel empty. And I want you to know how much love and respect I have for you. Every tear I’ve shed is a memory of you.
“This is so hard to put into words right now. I went out today and I thought about all the times we had together.
‘I wanted to tell you what I would always say to the thousands of people who always asked me. how is liam And I would say you were kind, funny, sweet, caring, talented, humble, focused. And how much you loved music. And how much love you really had for the fans.
‘I had to tell you when you were 14 that this was not your time. And we both made a promise that we would meet again. Many would have given up. You didn’t. You came back and within months the whole world knew Liam.
And you never forgot the fans. I saw you spending so much time with people who had wanted to meet you. You really cared.
‘You came to see me last year. Not for a meeting. Just sitting and talking. And we remembered all the fun times we had together.
And how proud you were to be a father. After you left I was reminded that you were still the sweet, kind boy I met all those years ago.’
He continued: ‘I have met your son, Björn. He has your smile and that twinkle in his eye that you have. And he will be so proud of all you have achieved. And how you achieved it.
‘I’ve always thought of the 5 of you in the band as brothers. And reading their messages today, I think you were.
‘And now Liam, I can see the effect you had on so many people. Because you left us too soon.

It comes after show bosses pulled the plug on hosting the auditions at the London Palladium and they will now all be held in Blackpool instead
‘Rest in peace my friend. And I send my love, thoughts and prayers to your family. Simon X’
Auditions resumed after Britain’s Got Talent made a huge change to the audition process.
Show bosses pulled the plug on hosting the auditions at the London Palladium and they will now all be held in Blackpool instead.
According to the sun, managers decided to switch locations because they found the atmosphere in the seaside town so enthusiastic about the show.
A source said: “BGT is a show that depends on the audience and how they react – and basically the audience in Blackpool are absolutely brilliant.
“The Palladium is such an iconic venue, but if you compare the shows in Blackpool to the ones they’ve filmed in London, the audience is much more into that.
“Boss Simon Cowell has given the green light to the move and just wants the show to be the best it can be.”
The insider added that Amanda may not be happy with the change, as she works five days a week in London and will have to commute.
