Huge dinosaur-themed indoor adventure park has three floors of soft play and mums are raving about it

AN INDOOR soft play in Kent has become a hit with families thanks to its giant lifelike dinosaur figures and a huge climbing frame.

Located in the Bluewater shopping centre, Dinotropolis is a dinosaur-themed adventure park spread across three levels.

The indoor soft play has become a hit with mums and dinosaur-obsessed kids thanks to the giant lifelike figures of the prehistoric creatures.

Kids will be able to interact with a giant animatronic T-rex among other Jurassic beasts.

The T-rex figure sits next to the huge on-site climbing frame with a slide, climbing ropes and ball pits.

There’s also a Raptor Run race course where kids can race in pedal go-karts on the ground floor.

Kids who dream of becoming paleontologists like Jurassic Park characters Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler can dig for fossils at Discovery Cove.

In Discovery Cove, young explorers can also build a volcano and paint their favourite dinosaurs.

There’s also an on-site cafe called the Fossil Cafe where food and drink is served.

Families have praised Dinotropolis in online reviews, with one mum writing, “Yes it’s on the pricier side for a soft play but with the sand excavation, drawing zone and dinosaurs we felt it was worth it”.

Another added: “Our two children (aged 1 and 4) had a wonderful time, and so did we.

“The dinosaur theme, of course, is a winner. Our oldest son loved the big slides”.

A third person wrote: “My children and I had a blast today! The staff were really friendly and polite to me and my children.

“Inside, it was great, animatronics were working, it was clean, the children got an opportunity to go on everything they wanted to

Children under 18 months go free, with off-peak tickets for kids starting from £16.50.

Entry tickets for adults are slightly cheaper, with prices starting from £6.50.

Another soft play attraction for kids opened in the UK last year.

Little Town Adventures opened in Weston-super-Mare, with some of the seaside town’s landmarks inside such as the Grand Pier.

For adults, there is a grown-up soft play attraction in the UK too.

Adventurers, in both Taunton and Cheddar, opens to kids in the day, but only adults for their Adventurers After Dark events with laser tag and alcoholic slushies.

The Sun’s Jane Cook tried out a similar one in London – here’s what she thought.

Three little-known places to take dinosaur-obsessed kids

THERE are a number of little-known places across the UK that are perfect for any budding palaeontologists – and they could be fun for adults too.

  • Paradise Park in East Sussex has life-size moving dinosaurs, fossils, and a Dinosaur Safari.
  • Knebworth House in Herefordshire has a dinosaur-themed adventure section
  • Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park in North Devon has 19 animatronic dinosaurs, including a life-sized T-Rex, Dino Express train and a play zone.

Meanwhile, ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure in Norfolk is set to open a new land in 2026.

Gigantosaurus Land will be based on an animated series of the same name, which currently streams worldwide on services like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney Plus.
