The Chargers registered the first two scores of the game, but were dominated by the Texans before eventually losing 32-12.
Most of that domination came from a suffocating Houston defense that made Herbert‘s life hell throughout the night.
Not only was it a night to forget for Herbert, but it was probably the worst game of his career.
While he did throw for 242 yards with a touchdown, he also threw four interceptions.
One of those interceptions was returned for a touchdown.
He was 14-for-32 on the night, throwing more incompletions than completions.
The night was so bad for Herbert that he actually threw more interceptions in the playoff game than he did all season.
Herbert threw just three picks in 17 games during the regular season.
Fans took notice of this and brutally roasted Herbert on social media.
“Justin Herbert is having the worst game of his life at the wrong time geeez,” one fan said.
“If I hear 1 more thing about Justin Herbert. Guy SUCKS,” another fan said.
“Is Justin Herbert holding this elite Chargers team back?” a third fan said.
“Serious conversations need to be held about Justin Herbert after this game,” a fourth fan said.
“Justin Herbert in his 5th season with 0 playoff wins and no accolades LMAOOO,” a fifth fan said.
While Herbert had a rough night, on the other side of the ball CJ Stroud had a solid performance.
