Andy Reid admitted it could be tough to keep hold of his key ally[/caption]
Spagnuolo, 65, has been in his current role since 2019 and won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs.
He has been one of Andy Reid’s key allies in building a dynasty at Arrowhead Stadium.
Spagnuolo also won the Super Bowl as defensive coordinator for the New York Giants in 2007.
And his recent success has seen him linked with a head coaching role.
The Kansas City Chiefs are on a bye week having secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.
And Spagnuolo has used the time wisely before focusing on the Chiefs’ history bid.
He interviewed for the top job with the New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaking before the Week 18 game against the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs defensive coordinator addressed the interest from teams.
“I mean, I’ll deal with that later,” he said.
“Listen, yeah, the answer is yes, but right now, it’s all about Denver.
“I’ll let all of that take care of itself.”
Chiefs coach Reid conceded both Spagnuolo and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy would attract a lot of interest.
“You know this from what I’ve said before: I think both of them deserve an opportunity again to be head coaches,” Reid said.
“They’re obviously getting some play here, so other people recognize that, too.
“We’ll just see where it goes.

They won 15 of their 17 regular-season games to secure the No. 1 seed.
And they are two home wins at Arrowhead Stadium away from reaching the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 9.
