R. KELLY’S daughter has accused her dad of sexually abusing her as a child, detailing the allegations in an emotional interview.
Buku Abi, who was born Joanne Kelly, claims the convicted sex offender abused her when she was around eight or nine years old.
R. Kelly’s daughter, Buku Abi, pictured in the two-part documentary, R Kelly’s Karma: A Daughter’s Journey[/caption]
The 26-year-old made the allegations, which Kelly denies, in TVEI Network’s new two-part documentary, R Kelly’s Karma: A Daughter’s Journey.
“He was my everything” she says of her dad in the doc.
“For a long time, I didn’t even want to believe that it happened. I didn’t know that even if he was a bad person that he would do something to me.
“I was too scared to tell anybody. I was too scared to tell my mom.”
Abi says she told her mom in 2009, who took her to file the allegations in an anonymous report.
However, they were told cops would not be able to help as they had “waited to long” to speak out.
“I really feel like that one millisecond completely just changed my whole life and changed who I was as a person and changed the sparkle I had and the light I used to carry,” she said.
“After I told my mom, I didn’t go over there anymore; my brother [Robert] and sister [Jaah], we didn’t go over there anymore. And even up until now I struggle with it a lot.”
Joanne goes on to claim in the documentary that she was only eight or nine when the alleged abuse took place.
“I just remember waking up to him touching me,” she said through tears.
“And I didn’t know what to do, so I just kind of laid there, and I pretended to be asleep.”
Kelly has vehemently denied his daughter’s allegations.
In a statement shared with People the disgraced lawyers said, “His ex-wife made the same allegation years ago, and it was investigated by the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services and was unfounded.
“And the ‘filmmakers,’ whoever they are, did not reach out to Mr Kelly or his team to even allow him to deny these hurtful claims.”

A POPULAR restaurant chain has been forced to close its doors at a beloved location after dozens of customers were left with fevers and severe stomach pain due to a horrific outbreak.
LongHorn Steakhouse is under fire due to multiple people suffering food poisoning after eating at the restaurant’s location in Fairview Heights, Illinois, which is about 15 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri.
Signs on the LongHorn Steakhouse doors tell customers the restaurant is closed[/caption]
Sylvia Ledbetter, who suffered weeks of pain due to Shigellosis[/caption]
At least eight LongHorn customers were hospitalized due to Shigellosis, which is an infectious disease caused by a bacteria called Shigella.
The steakhouse remains closed as the St. Clair County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health are working to investigate what caused the outbreak at the restaurant.
Over 100 customers have hired attorney Jory Lange, who specializes in food poisoning cases, after eating at the steakhouse – and he’s already filed three lawsuits in the county.
“The Longhorn Steakhouse Shigella outbreak is likely to continue to grow,” Lange said in a press release.
“Symptoms usually began 8 to 50 hours after eating Shigella-contaminated food.
“Once people get sick and go to the hospital, it takes time for stool tests to come back positive for Shigella and for those test results to be reported to hospitals.
“That’s why the outbreak numbers will likely continue to rise.”
Sylvia Ledbetter, one of the customers who hired Lange, told St. Louis’ CBS affiliate KMOV that the steakhouse was her favorite restaurant that she visited multiple times a month – but now she doesn’t think she’ll ever go back.
“I can’t go back, and I loved the place, but I just can’t go back,” Ledbetter told the outlet.
“I can’t chance it. Matter of fact, I’m fearful.”
At the end of September, she ordered her usual order of chicken strawberry salad, potato soup, and a strawberry lemonade. She started to feel sick the next day.
“My stomach pain was on a scale of maybe 9, 9.5,” Ledbetter said.
“Could’ve been 10 on some days.”
Shigella infection causes fevers and diarrhea. Ledbetter said her symptoms lasted for weeks.
What is Shigellosis?
A bacteria called Shigella causes an infection called Shigellosis that infects the intestine.
Shigella is often spread in restaurants and day care facilities.
Symptoms usually start one to two days after exposure and can last for seven days.
Shigellosis symptoms typically include:
Diarrhea that can be bloody
Fever
Abdominal pain and cramping
Shigella germs are in poop and they can spread from person to person through contaminated food, water, surfaces, or objects.
To avoid being infected, be sure to wash your hands and be extra careful when changing diapers.
About 450,000 people are infected with Shigellosis in the US each year, according to the CDC.
After two weeks of pain, Ledbetter went to the emergency room.
“I found myself not going to some of my daily routine activities like aqua classes in the pool or tai chi,” Ledbetter said.
“I didn’t want to do anything. I was tired and in pain.”
ON THE MENU
Lange said among his clients, there hasn’t been a common factor in any of the food items that might’ve contained the bacteria.
“Basically everything on the menu we have talked to multiple people who have ate there,” Lange told KMOV.
“We are not seeing one specific food product. We’re seeing the whole menu.”
Signs on the steakhouse’s doors tell customers that the restaurant is “closed voluntarily” as the investigation continues. It’s unclear when the spot will reopen.
WARNING TO RESTAURANT
Shigella bacteria could come from someone who works at the restaurant not properly washing their hands and spreading germs from fecal matter.
With this many people getting sick, there’s probably Shigella everywhere in that restaurant.”
“The scary thing about this outbreak is, as a consumer, there’s nothing you can do to tell whether the food that you are buying is safe,” Lange said.
“You can’t taste, smell, or see Shigella. Food that is contaminated with Shigella may look, smell, and taste just like any other food.
“This is why it’s critical that restaurants who make and sell our food ensure the food is safe before they sell it.”
Lange said that the steakhouse could reopen safely if they test their employees for the infection and sanitize their restaurant.
“Test the employees,” Lange told KMOV.
“Require them to have two negative tests before they return but they need to scrub and sanitize and really carefully sanitize their facility because with this many people getting sick, there’s probably Shigella everywhere in that restaurant.”

CELINE Dion’s showstopping performance at the start of the Paris 2024 Olympics was a fake, new claims allege.
Millions were moved to tears when the 56-year-old Canadian superstar sang Hymne à L’amour (Hymn to Love) in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The performance was Dion’s big return following her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis[/caption]
Experts are now claiming the performance was pre-recorded[/caption]
The Eiffel Tower was lit up for the performance[/caption]
But multiple music industry experts today have said the July 26th performance was pre-recorded, Liberation newspaper claims.
Paris 2024 organisers refused to answer questions on the scandal, despite previously insisting that the performance was indeed a live one.
Composer and performer Etienne Guéreau said: “What we heard on TV was a corrected playback.”
A sound engineer who asked to remain anonymous also said: “It was 100% playback, you can hear it from the first notes.”
Others said it was ‘”without a shadow of a doubt” pre-recorded, as was a performance by Dion in rehearsals.
The Olympics performance was a triumphant comeback for Dion, who has been battling the incurable stiff-person syndrome.
Hymne à L’amour was chosen because it was originally sung by the late French music icon Edith Piaf.
Thousands of fans took to social media to praise Dion, whose greatest hits include My Heart Will Go On, the theme from the Titanic movie.
One fan said: “Ok I’m proper emotional at Celine’s performance, just wow!”
Another gushed: “Queen Celine is back and she sounds fantastic”.
It was in 2022 that Dion disclosed that she was diagnosed with the neurological disorder which causes muscles to stiffen and spasm.
She then made a vow to return to the stage “even if I have to crawl”, adding: “My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again!”
Around 104,000 people paid for tickets to watch the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony live, with the best seats costing more than £2500.
The performance came soon after the release of her documentary This is Me[/caption]
Following her performce the singer posted a picture of on social media cementing her comeback[/caption]
Despite heavy rain, many sat through multiple acts, including a pre-recorded number by Lady Gaga, which was shown on multiple screens along the river, as well as around the world.
But Dion’s performance was meant to be a live one, and it has just been released as such on various streaming platforms.
Dion announced on Instagram on Thursday that the ‘live’ recording was available on sites such as YouTube and Spotify.
She announced: “God brings together those who love each other.”
These are Piaf’s words to the love of her life, French-Algerian boxer Marcel Cerdan, who died in a plane crash in October 1949.
French president Emmanuel Macron spoke about the Dion Olympics performance in an interview with Variety magazine this week, saying it caused the “biggest emotion” of all at Paris 2024.
The Opening Ceremony mainly held along the banks of the River Seine – one that President Emmanuel Macron said was the “emotional highlight” of the sporting extravaganza.
‘BACK ON THE HORSE’
Aside from the Olympic Games, Celine is also planning a comeback in Las Vegas.
Sources exclusively told The U.S. Sun she is planning a limited run of shows this fall.
Celine is rumoured to be performing her greatest hits for a 70-minute show.
The shows will most likely take place at the Resorts World Theatre at around the time of the Las Vegas Formula One Grand Prix, a source said.
An insider revealed if Celine’s health gets worse the plan is to push the residency back.
Concert promoter AEG would host the shows, with a “short run at first” to see if Celine can handle performing live.
Celine, who lives in Sin City, has been rehearsing musicians and voice therapists for the last eight months, a source told The U.S. Sun.
“Her desire to return and entertain has been a huge driving force in her health battles,” the source said.

NORTH West has hilariously claimed her mom Kim Kardashian ‘hasn’t cooked for her in 2 years’.
Budding rapper North, 11, who spoke with her superstar parent as part of an Interview photoshoot, shared some unexpected details about her famous family.
North West has hilariously claimed Kim Kardashian ‘hasn’t cooked for her in 2 years’[/caption]
It included the fact that Kim, worth $1.7billion, hasn’t whipped together dinner for her since 2022.
During the mother-daughter Q&A, Kim asked her firstborn what she thought of her cooking.
North bluntly responded, “You haven’t cooked for us in a long time. Last time you cooked was two Halloweens ago.”
Revealing the dish to be mac and cheese, Kim added, “And fried chicken and cornbread,” before joking, “I’m a one-trick pony.”
The conversation didn’t stop there, with North chiming in, “It’s good. It’s just that you’re really good at making me cucumbers and salt.”
With the family’s private chefs regularly seen on their Hulu show, it’s no wonder Kim’s been putting their skills to good use.
It comes after The Sun revealed the extensive measures Kim has taken to ensure her children are well cared for during their visits with their dad Kanye West and his new wife Bianca Censori.
The Skims founder finalised her divorce from her ex in November 2022 after eight years of marriage, and they share custody of the kids.
However, Kim is being cautious, ensuring the children are supervised during their time with Kanye and his new partner and that their routines are not disrupted.
“Kim never lets the kids go away with Kanye without trusted nannies and her own security,” a source told us.
They continued: “There is a very tight schedule – what time they go to bed, what they eat, when they eat, how much sugar they have.
“Exactly where they go and how crowded those places are.”
Kanye married Bianca, an architectural designer for his Yeezy brand, in a non-legally binding ceremony just two months after his divorce from Kim.
The couple has been spotted together on multiple trips, including a much-talked-about vacation in Italy earlier this year where Bianca raised eyebrows in a number of risky outfits.
Kanye is now countering Kim’s approach to their children’s public exposure.
While Kim involves their kids in her reality TV show and social media, he has decided to put them on stage, claiming they enjoy it more than doing TV.
The source continued: “Kanye is playing Kim at her own game – he’s against her putting the kids on the family reality show and on TikTok, so he’s put them on stage.
“She’s always saying they like being on TV – well, he’s hitting back and saying they like being onstage.
“Everyone thinks it’s his new way to get publicity and make people pay attention to him – like how he parades Bianca around.”
Last month North took to the stage with her dad in South Korea.
Kanye live-streamed the concert on his YouTube channel, where fans back in the States and around the world watched him and his preteen daughter be cheered on by thousands of fans inside the Goyang Stadium in Seoul.
How rich are the Kardashians?
The Kardashian sisters are known for their extreme wealth, but which of them has the most money?
Kourtney Kardashian – net worth £52 million
Kim Kardashian -net worth £1.3 billion
Khloe Kardashian – net worth £48 million
Kendall Jenner – net worth £48 million
Kylie Jenner – net worth £545 million
KIM’S WORRIES
But the reality star is concerned about what their kids are “exposed to” around their rapper dad and Bianca, claimed a friend.
“Kim is constantly getting more and more alarmed about the stories she sees coming out about Kanye and Bianca,” said a source close to her.
“Every week it’s something different and she fears it’s no longer a healthy environment for the younger kids to be in.
“It’s not like she’s even in contact with Kanye directly – they either speak through nannies, [her mom] Kris or lawyers – but North sends her pictures and videos when she’s with her dad.
“It’s like Kim wants to see with her own eyes what’s going on – she’s saying she wants a sit-down meeting urgently with both of them to discuss co-parenting and put some new ground rules in place.”

2 weeks agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Netflix has a secret club where you watch shows and movies before everyone else – and there are only two ways to qualify
YOUR Netflix subscription gets you loads of TV shows and movies – but there’s a secret club with even more perks.
It’s called the Netflix Preview Club, and it’s a special type of membership that gets you early access to upcoming content.
The Netflix Preview Club is a secretive upgrade to your membership that costs nothing – and has huge perks[/caption]
Once you’re in, you can watch TV shows and movies before they’re released to the general public.
And you’ll even be asked what you did and didn’t like about it – so it can be changed before it goes out on Netflix proper.
“Each screening involves watching a movie or an episode of a TV show, followed by a 10 to 20-minute survey,” Netflix explains.
“Depending on the TV show or movie runtime, it could take anywhere from 40 minutes to about three and a half hours.”
It’s an invitation-only club, and there are two ways to qualify.
HOW DOES NETFLIX PREVIEW CLUB WORK?
Once you’re into the Netflix Preview Club, you’ll have to answer an email questionnaire about your viewing preferences.
You’ll then receive invitations to scheduled screenings via email.
Usually these invitations will come a few days before the screening is available.
Netflix this advance notice is for “allowing you time to plan”.
“Screenings are usually open for a few days and we usually try to have them open on weekends,” Netflix said.
You’ll then get another email when the screening is available to watch on Netflix.
This will include a unique PIN and instructions for accessing the screening.
You’ll then have roughly four days to watch the screening and complete a survey.
Netflix says these surveys typically take between 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
NETFLIX CLUB INSIDERS REVEAL WHAT IT'S LIKE
Here are some comments from Reddit users in 2024 who say they received the special invitation..
Secret Member #1
“I did this last year. Watched about seven movies. Including some amazing ones that were not released yet, and some Oscar nominees. Also was invited to a small focus group to discuss the films. Pretty cool stuff. Some of the movies come out and it’s funny that I have watched over a year ago.”
Secret Member #2
“I was invited last year. I was sent a total of three movies, but I haven’t received anything in almost a year. The last movie I received was either last March or April. I’m not even sure if I’m still a part of it. When I contacted Netflix, they told me that if I was invited then I am still in it, but it doesn’t seem like I am. I checked my email often, so I’m not sure. I think it’s a cool concept though and I enjoyed it while I was getting things sent to me.”
Secret Member #3
“I don’t even remember signing up for it and got the PIN today. I probably did, but when I have no memory of this. I am on a similar one for Disney+ and you sign the NDA before you start any surveys.”
Secret Member #4
“I’ve done it a couple times so far. It’s super interesting seeing things before their final edit.”
There’s also a chance you get invited to an optional focus group to chat about the TV show or movie with other Netflix Preview Club members and a moderator.
Netflix says you can expect a few invitations a year – but it might be more or less.
“How many you get depends on factors like our screening schedule, the target audience for the TV show or movie, and your participation in past screenings,” Netflix explained.
Movies and shows that you watch might be in a very unfinished state.
In fact, Netflix says that you might notice:
Unfinished sound or visual effects
Green screens or stunt cables
No music in some scenes
Missing subtitles
Your feedback will be shared with the creators of the TV show or movie.
And Netflix says that past feedback has led to swapped scenes, edited visuals, and even re-shoots for entire sequences.
It’s super interesting seeing things before their final edit.

HOW TO JOIN NETFLIX PREVIEW CLUB
So how do you get in?
Netflix says it’s an “invite-only opportunity” offered to members – and there’s no cost to join.
You’ll be pre-selected based on two criteria:
Your viewing behaviour
How long you’ve been a Netflix member
BONUS WAY TO WATCH
Netflix says that there's a third way to watch preview content...
“While the primary account owner needs to join Netflix Preview Club, screenings can be enjoyed by everyone you live with,” Netflix explains.
“Regardless of their age (just remember that everyone who watches must keep the information confidential).
“Each screening invite includes details about the show or movie, like a plot summary and estimated rating, so you can make informed choices about who to watch with.
“Sometimes, we specifically encourage you to watch with certain types of people, such as kids, when we have an animated show or movie available.”
There’s no way to request membership, and there’s no telling exactly how to game the criteria to join.
If you receive an email to join, it will only come from one of the following two addresses:
noreply@netflixpreviewclub.com
noreply@members.netflix.com
If a Netflix invitation in your inbox doesn’t come from those email addresses then you’re being scammed.
You may also receive a notification in the Netflix app.
When you follow the invitation link, you’ll be sent to a website hosted by Alida where you’ll be able to complete the joining process.

KAMALA Harris has been slammed after posing for a glamorous Vogue photo shoot on the anniversary of the October 7 terror attacks in Israel, while Donald Trump visited a grave with the family of one of the hostages.
The magazine’s cover photo, which was taken on October 7 by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, was part of a glowing feature on Vice President Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate.
Kamala Harris has been slammed for posing for a Vogue photo shoot on the anniversary of the Oct. 7 terror attacks[/caption]
On Oct. 7, Donald Trump made an appearance at the grave of a prominent rabbi[/caption]
Harris has stepped up her media appearances in the final weeks of the election campaign[/caption]
But the timing of the photo, coming one year to the day since the sickening terror attack in Israel carried out by Palestinian terrorists, has sparked an outcry.
More than 1,200 men, women, and children died in the attacks carried out by Hamas militants in the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.
Girls and women were sexually assaulted, and 254 hostages were taken, including 12 Americans.
Today, an estimated 97 hostages remain in Hamas custody, seven of them US citizens.
The attacks sparked a brutal war in the region, with Israeli military operations in Gaza killing almost 42,000 people, according to the Hamas-run Ministry of Health in the territory.
On the same day, Harris was posing for the Vogue photoshoot, her Republican opponent former President Donald Trump was at the grave of a prominent rabbi to mark the anniversary of the attacks.
Trump visited the grave of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the former leader of the Chabad Hasidic movement, in Queens, New York.
The visit to the grave of Rabbi Scneerson, known as the Rebbe, was accompanied by supporters, a Holocaust survivor, and the family of Edan Alexander, an American hostage still held by Hamas in Gaza.
Trump’s National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed the Vogue feature on X.
“Wow. On the one year anniversary of October 7 and as bodies were being recovered from Hurricane Helene, Kamala Harris sat down for a photo shoot with Vogue,” she wrote.
“I’m glad Kamala Harris had time to sit for a Vogue photo shoot right now,” joked political commentator Link Lauren on X. “She’s got her priorities straight!”
Former Trump campaign advisor Steve Cortes wrote on X, “We’re still finding bodies from the devastating hurricane that destroyed parts of western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee.
“Meanwhile, Kamala Harris was busy posing for Vogue magazine at the same time.
“She doesn’t care about Americans. All she cares about is power.”
The U.S. Sun has been to Kamala Harris’ campaign for comment.
KAMALA HARRIS OCT. 7 STATEMENT
I will never forget the horror of October 7, 2023. 1,200 innocent people, including 46 Americans, were massacred by Hamas terrorists. Women raped on the side of the road. 250 people kidnapped. It was the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. What Hamas did that day was pure evil – it was brutal and sickening. And it has rekindled a deep fear among the Jewish people not just in Israel, but in the United States and around the world.
The long, extraordinary arc of Jewish history is full of pogroms and prejudice, slaughter and separation. And now, in our own generation, there is another moment that the world must never forget.
I am devastated by the loss and pain of the Israeli people as a result of the heinous October 7 attack. Doug and I pray for the families of the victims and hope they find solace in remembering the lives their loved ones lived.
We also pray for the safety of Jewish people all around the world. We all must ensure nothing like the horrors of October 7 ever happen again. I will do everything in my power to ensure that the threat Hamas poses is eliminated, that it is never again able to govern Gaza, that it fails in its mission to annihilate Israel, and that the people of Gaza are free from the grip of Hamas. I will never stop fighting for the release of all the hostages, including the seven American citizens, living and deceased, still held: Omer, Edan, Sagui, Keith, Judy, Gad, and Itay. I will never stop fighting for justice for those who murdered Hersh Goldberg-Polin and other Americans. And I will always ensure Israel has what it needs to defend itself against Iran and Iran-backed terrorists like Hamas. My commitment to the security of Israel is unwavering.
Hamas’s terrorist attack on October 7 launched a war in Gaza. I am heartbroken over the scale of death and destruction in Gaza over the past year—tens of thousands of lives lost, children fleeing for safety over and over again, mothers and fathers struggling to obtain food, water, and medicine. It is far past time for a hostage and ceasefire deal to end the suffering of innocent people. And I will always fight for the Palestinian people to be able to realize their right to dignity, freedom, security, and self-determination. We also continue to believe that a diplomatic solution across the Israel-Lebanon border region is the only path to restore lasting calm and allow residents on both sides to return safely to their homes.
Today, as we mourn the lives lost on October 7, I know many Jews will be reciting and reflecting on the Jewish prayer for mourning – the Kaddish. The words of the Kaddish, however, are not about death. The prayer is about still believing in God and still having faith. I know that is difficult amidst so much trauma and pain. But it is with that spirit that I commemorate this solemn day. We will not forget, and we will not lose faith. And in honor of all those souls we lost on October 7, we must never lose sight of the dream of peace, dignity, and security for all.
In her feature, Harris brought up the conflict in Gaza and the terror attacks carried out by Hamas.
“On October 7, 1,200 people were massacred, including hundreds of young people at a concert,” she said. “Women were horribly raped.”
She went on, “And far too many Palestinians have been killed.”
Describing the difficulties in finding lasting peace in the Middle East, Harris added, “There’s been a language and a conversation around what’s been happening, particularly around Israel and Gaza, that suggests that this is binary. It’s not.”
She doesn’t care about Americans. All she cares about is power.
Steve CortesFormer Trump campaign secretary
Trump’s visit is being seen as a gesture to Orthodox Jews, many of whom are expected to support him in next month’s presidential election.
Last month, Trump was due to visit a kosher restaurant in Williamsburg, the Brooklyn neighborhood home to a large Hasidic movement.
However, that trip was called off following the unexpected death of the business owner.
Trump didn’t speak at the site, known as the Ohel, but was received warmly by the crowd, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported.
The grave, which attracts thousands of visitors daily, was under heavy security during Trump’s Monday visit.
“It’s gonna work out, we’re gonna make it work out, we’ve gotta get that guy back, right?” Trump was quoted as saying during the visit, an apparent reference to Edan.
He later took a photo with an Israeli hostage poster.
Standing alongside the grave next to Chabad representatives, Trump was seen donning a kippah, reading a chapter of Psalms that makes up the daily Jewish penitential prayer, placing a note on the grave, and laying a small stone on the headstone.
The former president’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner previously visited the grave in 2016.
Donald Trump waves to supporters at a recent campaign event[/caption]
In her Vogue cover, Harris wears one of her own Gabriela Hearst suits, as well as what appear to be the infamous Tiffany earrings she donned during her debate with Donald Trump.
Harris marked the anniversary of the October 7 attacks with a tree planting at her home.
In the quiet event, accompanied by her husband Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish, the vice president planted a memorial tree.
The pomegranate tree, which represents hope and righteousness in Judaism, was planted in the yard of her Naval Observatory residence.
“I will never forget October 7, and the world must never forget,” she said.
“We must work to ensure nothing like the horrors of October 7 can ever happen again.”
President Joe Biden marked the anniversary of the attacks with an event at the White House.
Palestine has been one of the trickiest issues for Harris to navigate as she looks to straddle the line between US foreign policy and the views of many grassroots Dems.
In Michigan, a crucial swing state with a large Muslim population, Harris has faced calls to push harder for an end to the war.
She has also seen disruption at campaign rallies from anti-Israel protesters.
2 weeks agoUSA UpdateComments Off on We made $13,491 in one month with our Amazon side hustle – it’s ‘low competition’ & you don’t need social media to start
IT could be easier than you think to start making thousands of dollars extra per month.
There’s a new, unique side hustle that requires little work and could prove extremely lucrative with the right steps.
A couple has recommended a simple side hustle with a three-step business model[/caption]
The gig is facilitated through an Amazon platform[/caption]
The gig, which works through Amazon, was highlighted by experts Angelina and Chris (@publishingprosofficial) in a recent post to TikTok.
Angelina and Chris noted that they invested in the side hustle because it required “no social media, no dealing with customers, and no physical products.”
It also “doesn’t take thousands of dollars to get started with,” and there’s still “super low competition,” as few know about it.
Now, they make around $13,491 per month from it, according to receipts they showed viewers in the clip.
KDP is a platform through the e-commerce giant that allows authors to self-publish digital and print books for free to a global readership.
Those who self-publish can determine their content, audience, price, advertising, and more.
They also get to keep ownership of titles, publish on their own determined schedule, and keep 70% of royalties.
Amazon takes a cut of the profits for the printing and shipping costs of the titles.
The $13,500 in extra money comes from those royalties in Angelina and Chris’s side hustle, but they aren’t taking the time to write all their books, and neither should you.
“These aren’t books that you actually have to write yourself,” Chris emphasized in the video.
“You can outsource most of the leg work to other people, and you can take that and then publish it to Amazon.”
Essentially, you facilitate the publishing of books to KDP from other authors and keep a portion of the earnings.
Side hustles and tax implications
Extra income you make from side hustles may need to be reported to the IRS.
If you receive more than $600 in gross payouts from a selling platform like eBay, the site will issue you a Form 1099-K to use in your tax return.
Individuals should calculate their adjusted gross income, taxable earnings, and deductions for the year.
Once they have that, they can use the 1040-ES form to calculate estimated taxes.
STEP BY STEP
To get started, all you’d need to do is follow three simple steps, according to Angelina and Chris.
First, do keyword research around what’s selling best on Amazon in book genres, titles, and topics.
Secondly, after you’ve found some of the most “profitable topics,” begin the book production process by finding ghostwriters or authors and hiring them through freelance platforms like Fiverr or Upwork.
That will cost anywhere between $800 and $1,200, depending on what the writer charges, and is the bulk of the costs to get the side hustle started, per another clip from Angelina and Chris.
They’ll produce the copy you’ll then format and edit for publishing through Amazon KDP.
Using other platforms like 99 Designs for designing covers and Publisher Rocket for software are other necessary upfront book production costs to consider.
MAKE IT KNOWN
The third and most time-consuming aspect of the side hustle is marketing the book you’re going to publish to make sure audiences are aware of it before it goes live.
Angelina and Chris said using Amazon Ads would be the most beneficial for the side hustle, as it gets the most eyes on the books and provides great opportunities for reviews to increase popularity.
It costs around $5 to $10 per day.

The 2020 clip was posted by the Perth club Bar1 Nightclub to advertise Filly’s rap show three days before.
Filly’s performance came just hours before police say the rapper allegedly raped, attacked, and strangled a woman.
In the clip, Filly and pal Chunkz take a lie detector test for the channel Footasylum to check how close and honest their friendship is.
Filly jokes he may sleep with Chunkz’s girlfriend if she was wearing the right clothes.
Chunkz says: “If I left my girl with you and I told you to look after her and she made some advances on you…
Filly then cuts Chunkz off and asks: “What’s she wearing?”
Chunkz says: “What the f…” before Filly erupts into laughter.
The Perth bar – Bar1 Nightclub – used the footage to advertise his show on September 27.
Bar1 Nightclub said in the post’s description: “73 TICKETS LEFT Yung Filly at BAR1 This FRIDAY Night.”
Footage also posted by the venue shows him performing to a raucous packed crowd late on September 27.
It shows him clad in an orange top bantering with the audience and rapping.
Hours later, on September 28, police allege he raped a woman in her 20s.
Police arrested Filly in Brisbane on Tuesday and charged him with four counts of sexual penetration without consent.
He is also accused of three counts of assault and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.

In the YouTube video from last year, Barrientos tells Chunkz he was “110 per cent” let him marry into his family.
But then Chunkz, real name Amin Mohamed, tells Filly he would not.
Filly argues he’s “a good man”, but Chunkz says: “Nah I heard too many stories”.
He asks “what stories”, and Chunkz responds: “It bends to the left… listen that’s very scary in my head.”
Filly replies: “Yeah but what’s that got to do with you, when I’m clarting?
“You’ve just got to worry about if I’m treating your sibling good.”
