SHUT down rogue butt-lift clinics and only let qualified doctors do them, top surgeons have warned.
The Joint Council of Cosmetic Practitioners issued the plea on Thursday after a 33-year-old Brit mum died in September following a botched BBL.
Brazilian butt-lifts, also known as buttock augmentation procedures, involve injecting fat or filler into the bum to shape it.
But wrongly injecting too deep into the buttock can pump chemicals into the bloodstream and cause deadly clots, infections or sepsis.
They can also go wrong if the anaesthetic is bungled or people have allergies.
Two people were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after mum-of-five Alice Webb, from Gloucestershire, died in September following complications of the procedure.
She became the first person to die this way in Britain, although others have suffered fatal ordeals after surgery abroad.
UK regulation is lax as they can be considered “non-surgical” and untrained beauticians can get the kit to do them.

The JCCP said BBLs must be classified as surgical procedures and strictly controlled so that only qualified, registered and experienced plastic surgeons can do them.
The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, which only recently ended a four-year plea for members not to do the procedure at all, co-signed the report.

Elaine Sassoon, a member of the BAAPS council, said: “The cosmetic sector faces a lack of regulation for unlicensed medical practitioners.
“This puts people’s health at serious risk, particularly with buttock fillers for BBL.
“While specialist surgeons follow safety guidelines, untrained individuals can inject unsafe, bulk-purchased products in unregulated settings.”
The report said the same rules should be applied to any procedures on the genitals or breasts.
It said: “These procedures should only be performed by appropriately trained specialist plastic surgeons and fully qualified General Medical Council registered medical doctors who possess additional qualifications and have proven competence.”
Alice Webb, herself an aesthetic practitioner, had travelled to a training session where she would learn how to perform the procedure before having her own done.
But cops rushed to a house at around 11.30pm that night after the alarm was raised, with ambulances already at the scene.
Alice was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Infirmary but died in the early hours of Tuesday, September 24.
The tragedy happened after her cousin, Dianna Webb, told her she did not need the procedure.
A tearful Dianna, who calls herself Alice’s “second mum” as she helped raise her, told The Sun: “We had talked about it a lot before she went to have the procedure.
“She had told me she was going to have this done and I said she didn’t need it – she already looked beautiful.
“And she was stunning on her own.
“We were on the phone for two hours before she went. Alice said they seemed really professional and put her at ease about the procedure.
“She was not one of these people that would go and just have something done without looking at every little detail first, obviously because she worked in the industry too.
“Alice put her heart into her work.
“She took every course she could take, including this one, because she wanted to make sure she got everything right.”
Dianna said her family would demand the government ban liquid BBL injections to make sure Alice’s death was “the first and the last” on British shores.
A Department of Health spokesperson said: “Our deepest sympathies are with Alice’s family and friends in this tragic case, which is incredibly concerning.
“The safety of patients is paramount, and we would urge anyone considering a cosmetic procedure to consider the possible health impacts and find a reputable, insured, and qualified practitioner.
“Work is ongoing to explore options around oversight of the non-surgical cosmetics sector and we will provide an update at the earliest opportunity.”
Buttock enlargement surgery – known as a Brazilian bum-lift (BBL) – is used to make the bum look bigger, rounded and lifted.
Surgeons transfer fat, inject filler or insert silicone-filled implants.
It is the fastest growing cosmetic procedure but also one of the most dangerous, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
Many patients are travelling to the likes of Turkey or seeking out unregistered surgeons in the UK and are not given full information on the risks.
BBLs carry the highest risk of all cosmetic surgeries – with more than one death occurring per 4,000 procedures.
Due to celebrities undergoing such ops, many women are hoping to emulate their looks.
Consultant clinical psychologist Dr Anu Sayal-Bennett, a chartered member of the British Psychological Society, told the BBC: “Despite there being so much about body positivity, there are pressures for women – and men too – to look a certain way.”
Many people travel abroad for the procedure because it is cheaper and advertising is “terribly seductive”, combined with the idea of a beach holiday, added Dr Sayal-Bennett.
TESLA is set to unveil the world’s first fully autonomous ROBOTAXI when it debuts the new Cybercab today.
The firm has been working on the project for around five years but has run into some difficulties along the way.
Tesla boss Elon Musk first promised to create a self-driven ride-hailing service back in 2019, pledging to have a million vehicles on the road by the end of the next year.
The original idea was the company would be able to turn everyday Teslas into autonomous cabs at the push of a button when they were not in use by their owners.
Obviously, that did not come to pass, with some unsettled by the idea that their car could go walkabout in the middle of the night to pick up strangers.
It also threw up potential regulatory issues over who would be liable in the event of damage to the vehicle or even a crash.
Instead, the firm switched to a purpose-built model, which Musk said would be revealed in August.
This was then delayed, with the CEO claiming that “design tweaks” were needed.
But he has now confirmed that the official unveiling will take place this evening at 7pm PT.
Musk will hit the stage at the Warner Brothers film studio in Burbank, California to reveal the groundbreaking vehicle to the world.
It is expected to feature a stainless steel shell similar to that used for the $100,000 Cybertruck and a top speed of just 20kmph for extra safety.
Dubbed the Cybercab, it will operate on a ride-hailing platform that Musk has dubbed a “mix between Uber and AirBnB“.
The idea is that Cybercab owners will be able to sign up to put their vehicles onto the platform and will earn money in the form of a percentage of fares without having to do any of the driving.
The car can then be removed from the network at any time – with the whole thing likely managed through the Tesla app.
And the company itself will also own and operate a “small fleet” of Cybercabs to ensure consistent coverage.
Speaking on an investor call in April, Musk said: “The way to think of Tesla is almost entirely in terms of solving autonomy and being able to turn on that autonomy for a gigantic fleet.”
And addressing the significant delay in the project, he joked: “Sometimes I am not on time, but I get it done.”
It comes after Tesla was forced to recall 27,000 of its vehicles over a dangerous fault.

Jana’s fifth bit of advice was to “get curious” about your partner’s phone.
“Phones hide a multitude of sins,” she said.
“If your partner suddenly gets really protective over his phone, get curious.”

They start to take their phone everywhere with them
In close relationships, it’s normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something.
Aaron says: “If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.”
“You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.”
They start telling you less about their day
When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you.
“If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don’t want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.”

Their libido changes
Your partner’s libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron.
Aaron says: “Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating. You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren’t there before.”
They become negative towards you
Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify.
“To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere. Maybe you haven’t walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime. A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating,” warns Aaron.
BASEBALL fans wanted broadcast icon Bob Costas removed after being left unimpressed by his play-calling.
Costas, 72, was on the call for TBS in the National League Division Series clash between the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals.
The game ended in a dramatic 3-2 win for the Yankees as they took a 2-1 lead in the series.
But fans at home didn’t feel the excitement in Costas’ call.
A clip of Giancarlo Stanton’s RBI double in the fourth inning which resulted in the Yankees taking the lead circulated online.
“The Yanks jump in front, 1-0,” Costas said after describing the play.
Fox Sports MLB analyst Ben Verlander posted it online.
And he said, “I can’t handle this broadcast. All of it. What is this.”
His followers rushed to the comments section on X to agree.
One commented, “I need Costas off the broadcast immediately.
“Bro gives you the impression that line drives to shallow left field are about to leave the park.”

And Fury is back training after recovering from the injury – but his previously battered left hand is still showing signs of swelling.

Google (which owns Android) calls this feature Digital Car Key, and it’ll work with select phones and vehicles.
Several car makers offer the service, including BMW, BYD, Genesis, Hyundai, Kia, and MINI Cooper.
Google also says that the tech is safer than using a regular car key.
“Digital car key uses advanced technology that’s less vulnerable to unauthorized access than key fobs,” Google explained.
“You can also suspend or delete your digital car key if your phone is lost or stolen.”
As well as that, it’s possible to share your Digital Car Key with other people just by sending a text.
You can stop sharing and set permissions at any time.
And you can even share your key with iPhone owners.
To use Digital Car Key, Google says that you’ll need one of the following Android phones:

Then check Google’s website for your car-maker, and follow the links to see if your specific model is covered here.
Once you’re all set up to go, simply open your car-makers app, and pair your car to your account.
Then find the option for Digital Car Key and follow the instructions.
You’ll be prompted to sign into your Google Account, which will let you pair with an Android phone.
Tap Agree & Continue, and then create a car key name.
Then choose Start Pairing and wait for the process to complete.
To lock or unlock your car, you can hold the back of the phone near the door handle.

“Passive entry is on by default when you set up your digital car key,” Google explained.
“With passive entry, you don’t have to hold your device near the door handle to use your car key.
“Your device will automatically unlock your car doors when you’re near, start your car when you’re inside, and lock your car doors when you leave.”
But note that not all cars support this trick.
You can also lock and unlock your car remotely on some vehicles.
And you can even turn on your alarm, use your power trunk, and even start the car if your model supports it.
SIMONA GUATIERI has claimed that she was warned by Mauro Icardi that her husband was having an affair with his ex-wife.
The Italian model and television personality was married to former Lazio star Keita Balde but they split earlier this year.
The couple first started dating in 2017 before tying the knot in 2022 while Balde was at Spartak Moscow.
Simona has spoken out since their breakup in which she insisted she is “happy” with the decision despite having help from a psychologist.
She claimed that Icardi warned her that Balde, 29, and his ex-wife Wanda Nara, 37, had a “secret meeting” in Dubai while he was contracted to the Russian club.

“It was necessary to maintain the balance for the children’s growth. I say with presumption that I did not deserve all this.”

Balde has tried to reconcile with Simona but she refused.
She added: “I don’t know if he did it out of fear of the consequences or if he realized he had done something stupid.

Balde was once one of the most promising footballers in Italy as he broke through in Rome.

He spent time in Barcelona during his youth career but was kicked out of La Masia for a practical joke in which he put an ice cube in a teammate’s bed.
During his loan spell at Inter, he reportedly suffered an injury while filming a satirical TV show in a prank that went wrong.
