He’s been involved in some of the longest and most gruelling matches with rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.

And Nadal has also won Wimbledon, the sport’s biggest tournament, on two occasions.

Nadal has struggled to reach the illustrious heights of his career in the past couple of years and has now made the decision to call it a day.

But he’s still a legend, and he’s made a lot of money during his incredible tenure on the tennis court.

Rafael Nadal net worth

Nadal is one of the richest tennis players in history alongside Federer and Djokovic and Andy Murray.

Having picked up on-court earnings of £115million, just second to Djokovic on the all-time list, Nadal has had a very lucrative career.

And according to Celebrity Net Worth, he has a net worth of £189million, including all the endorsement and sponsorship deals he has accrued.

In any given year, it’s reported Nadal can earn around £33million alone, and throughout his career he’s amassed earnings of £430million.

Nadal had a career-long endorsement with Nike, with the Spaniard choosing to wear their gear for all tournaments.

The 14-time French Open champion also has deals with Emporio Armani, PokerStars and Kia Motors.

Nadal’s other partnerships include ones with Santander, luxury fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger and Babolat, who supply the 37-year-old’s tennis racquets.

What did he say about his retirement?

In an emotional video released on social media, Nadal confirmed his retirement, citing the last couple of years as incredibly difficult to play through with numerous injuries.

“I am here to let you know I am retiring from professional tennis,” he said.

“The reality is that it has been some difficult years, the last two especially.

“I don’t think I have been able to play without limitations.”

Footage shows the YouTuber – real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos – being escorted through an airport on Wednesday.

He was flanked by two officials as extradited to Perth, where the attack allegedly unfolded, to face a hearing.

Barrientos could be seen with his hands cuffed in front of him as he walked through the airport.

Further footage shows the influencer – who landed his own BBC show called Hot Property in 2019 – being placed in the back of a car.

Barrientos is on tour in Australia, and is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s on September 28 after a show.

Police allege Barrientos attacked the victim at his hotel in Perth in the early hours after a performance at Bar1 Nightclub in the suburb of Hillarys.

Footage of the rapper performing at Perth’s Bar1 Nightclub was posted to TikTok by the venue.

The raucous show had a packed crowd rapping along with Filly’s songs.

Detectives from Western Australia Police’s sexual assault squad charged Filly with four counts of sexual penetration without consent.

They also arrested him on three counts of assault and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.

He appeared at Perth Magistrates Court Thursday, where his application for bail was adjourned until later in the day.

Barrientos, who was born in Colombia but moved to the UK as a refugee as a child, remains in custody.

Barrientos’ lawyer revealed at the hearing that his client earns $700,000AUD (£360,000) a year from social media alone.

The rapper has more than three million followers on Instagram and almost two million YouTube subscribers.

His fans gathered outside the court and sat inside the public gallery during the hearing.

Barrientos began his online career in 2013 before breaking into the music industry in 2017.

He featured on Channel 4’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off in 2022 and has previously presented on the BBC’s Hot Property.

Barrientos kicked off his Australia tour in Perth before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast, where he played four show.

He had performed at Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast two days before his arrest.

He was born on August 6, 1995, and moved to the UK from Colombia when he was two years old.

Filly then relocated to southeast London during his childhood.

When asked what it was like growing up in the capital, he told Indy100: “I come from the bottom of the barrel…and that’s why I’m so grateful for the position I’m in now.

“My mum definitely shaped me with the lessons she taught me.

“She’s a single mum with three kids, my dad was a s*** dad so she just had to make it happen.

“She did loads of cleaning jobs. My mum worked at Poundland at the time I had some mad BBC series…just getting my mum out of the position she was in was just the biggest motivation.”
