The father and son duo have bonded over their love of rugby, football and cricket[/caption]
The royal father and son duo have also bonded over rugby and cricket, bringing them even closer.
But now Prince George has picked up a new sport – and it’s seriously challenging, reported The Mirror.
The impressive hobby is triathlon, and the future King himself revealed his son’s latest obsession during an investiture at Windsor Castle.
Prince William was presenting Non Stanford with an MBE for her services to the sport when he said that the 11-year-old had recently started getting stuck into it at school.
Stanford, who in 2013 won the women’s triathlon title, explained: “He was telling me how George has been doing triathlon at school.
”There is also a gentleman who now works for William, has done a bit of triathlon, and has been giving George advice about putting talcum powder in his shoes.
”George has been sharing his talc with his classmates and they are all excited about these tips.
”[William] also asked about the future of triathlon and the talent that is coming through, so we had a very nice chat,” the retired star added.
Prince George, who is also learning to fly, loves being active – however, Kate and William still struggle when it comes to his other hobbies, which millions of parents around the world can relate to.
In 2022, Wills admitted that just like many young kids George is into video games, and that the royal parents have to try to “regulate” how much screen time their three children get.
The future king said: “At the moment it’s trying to regulate the gaming…monitoring screen time. Got to be careful of that.
“They’re fascinated by it. George particularly. He’s more interested in it. The other two are a bit too small at the moment but they love the films.”
According to one expert, Kate and William, both 42, ask George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte to do chores around the home in return for rewards.
Inside Prince William and Kate Middleton's relationship - in their words
AFTER years of dating, Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement on November 16, 2010.
Prince William revealed in their interview with BBC that he knew from the start that Kate was different from other people.
He said in their engagement interview: “From my point of view, when I first met Kate, I knew there was something very special about her.”
When asked what drew them together, it turns out her “naughty sense of humour” was the tipping point.
He said: “She’s got a really naughty sense of humour, which really helps me because I’ve got a really dirty sense of humour so it was good fun, we had a really good laugh, and then things happened.”
And it appears that Prince William is a very caring partner towards Kate. Swoon.
She previously told Hello! how much of a gentleman William is, and said: “You know, over the years William has looked after me, he’s treated me very well — as the loving boyfriend he is, he is very supportive of me through the good times and also through the bad times.”
In April 2011, Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in a ceremony watched around the world by millions of fans.
Kate wore a spectacular Alexander McQueen dress and the smitten prince could be seen telling Kate: “You look beautiful” before the service began.
They may have an unconventional life, but when it comes to their relationship, it all boils down to having fun.
Prince William added: “Obviously we both have a very fun time together, both have a very good sense of humour about things, we’re down to earth, we take the mickey out of each other a lot, and she’s got plenty of habits that make me laugh that I tease her about.”
“I’d imagine they’ll have all the children doing chores like laying the table for dinner in return for pocket money or rewards like screen time,” Katie Nicholl told OK! magazine.
The expert praised the duo for totally mastering the “royal juggle.”
“They try to schedule royal engagements as much as they can around George and Charlotte’s schedules – football practice and gymnastics clubs and playdates with cheesy pasta,” she said.
“They try to do the school run as much as possible.
”Yes, they have a nanny and a housekeeper, but it’s Kate preparing tea most days.

COVID doubles the risk of a heart attack, stroke or dying up to three years later, a new study warns.
The danger is even higher among people with blood types A, B or AB who were infected with the virus compared to those with type O, say scientists.
Even people who had mild Covid were at increased risk of a heart attack or stroke in the following three years[/caption]
They reviewed data from more than 10,000 adults aged over 50, including around 8,000 who tested positive for Covid-19 from February 1 to December 31, 2020, and about 2,000 who tested positive for the virus in hospital in 2020.
A group of more than 200,000 adults who had no history of Covid infection during the same time frame and who were also taking part in the ongoing UK Biobank study were reviewed for comparison.
None of the participants were vaccinated at the time of infection because Covid-19 jabs were not yet available.
Researchers found that adults who had mild to severe Covid were more likely to have suffered a heart attack, stroke or died during the following three years.
The elevated risk of heart attack, stroke or death linked to Covid-19 infection was comparable to cardiovascular risk factors such as Type 2 diabetes, peripheral artery disease and cardiovascular disease, according to the findings.
The study, published in the journal Arteriosclerosis Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, also found that having a non-O blood type was associated with an increased risk of a heart attack, stroke or death among those who were infected by Covid.
The American research team say their findings suggest that people infected with Covid might benefit from cardiovascular disease prevention treatments to lower the risk of a heart attack or stroke.
Study lead author James Hilser, of the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, Los Angeles, said: “We found a long-term cardiovascular health risk associated with Covid, especially among people with more severe Covid-19 cases that required hospitalisation.
“This increased risk of heart attack and stroke continued three years after Covid-19 infection.
“Remarkably, in some cases, the increased risk was almost as high as having a known cardiovascular risk factor such as Type 2 diabetes or peripheral artery disease.”
Previous research has shown that Covid-19 increases the risk of serious cardiovascular complications within the first month after infection.
The new study examined how long the increased risk lasted and whether it subsided after recovering from Covid infection.
Researchers found that, during the near three-year follow-up period, the risk of a heart attack, stroke and death was more than double among adults who had Covid-19.
This risk was nearly four times greater among adults hospitalised with Covid-19, compared with those never infected with the virus.
People hospitalised with Covid, who didn’t have cardiovascular disease or Type 2 diabetes, had a 21 per cent greater risk of a heart attack, stroke or dying compared to people with cardiovascular disease who didn’t get the virus.
The researchers also found a “significant” genetic interaction among the non-O blood types and hospitalisation for Covid.
Who can get an NHS Covid jab this autumn?
THE NHS has started offering autumn Covid boosters to the most vulnerable.
Many pharmacies also now sell the Covid jab privately.
Can I get it?
The following groups can have an NHS Covid booster between 3 October and 20 December:
over-65s
people aged between six months and 64 years with health conditions that make them more vulnerable, including pregnant women
people living in care homes for older people
frontline NHS and social care workers, and those working in care homes for older people
The NHS has already contacted more than 11 million people, but those who qualify for the jab can also book their own appointments via the NHS App,, GPs, pharmacies, drop-in clinics,or by calling 119.
However, pregnant women can have the RSV vaccine at the same time as the Covid jab.
People with severe Covid-19 infections had an increased risk of heart attack and stroke, but that risk was even higher in people who had non-O blood types.
The risk of heart attack and stroke was around 65 per cent higher in adults with blood types A, B or AB compared to those who had type O blood.
‘Explains the rise in heart disease’
Study co-senior author Professor Stanley Hazen, chair of cardiovascular and metabolic sciences at Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner Research Institute, said: “Worldwide, over a billion people have already experienced Covid-19 infection.
“The findings reported are not a small effect in a small subgroup.
“The results included nearly a quarter million people and point to a finding of global health care importance that may translate into an explanation for a rise in cardiovascular disease around the world.”
Study co-senior study author Professor Hooman Allayee, also of the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, said: “The results of our study highlight the long-term cardiovascular effects of Covid-19 infection.
“Given the increased risk of heart attack, stroke and death, the question is whether or not severe Covid-19 should be considered as another risk factor for cardiovascular disease, much like Type 2 diabetes or peripheral artery disease, where treatment focused on cardiovascular disease prevention may be valuable.
“The results suggest that people with prior Covid infection may benefit from preventive care for cardiovascular disease.”
Professor Sandeep Das, co-chair of the American Heart Association, said of the findings: “They show that something located close to the genetic home of ABO blood type is associated with different degrees of susceptibility to Covid.”
He added: “This is really fascinating, and I look forward to seeing scientists tease out what the specific pathway may be.”

BOXING fans have learned the undercard fights for Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch with Tyson Fury… but many are upset with a protocol breach on the poster.
Fury, 36, will look to avenge his split-decision loss to Usyk, 37, back in May when they face off for a second time on December 21.
The two heavyweights will fight in Saudi Arabia as part of Riyadh Season.
And the other bouts taking place on the show have now been confirmed.
British heavyweight Moses Itauma will take on Australian Dempsey McKean, while promising super-bantamweights Dennis McCann and Peter McGrail are set for an exciting clash.
Another all-British bout will see heavyweights Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen do battle.
Isaac Lowe will take on former European champion Lee McGregor, while highly-rated Uzbekistan fighter Israil Madrimov will return from his defeat to Terence Crawford when he takes on Ukraine’s Serhii Bohachuk.
However, boxing fans were more drawn to the detail of the fight card poster.
It reads “Fury-Usyk” with the challenger on the left and world champion on the right.
This goes against the norm of the title holder being named first on the poster.

Reacting to the decision, one social media user said: “How on earth has Fury managed to blag his name first on the poster?
“Not ranked number 1, no belts, not undefeated, lost already to Usyk, not being staged in the UK so can’t claim he is the A-side or a ticket draw. What is Fury bringing to the table?”
While another added: “Why is Fury on the left?”
A third replied: “Good card, but why is Fury named first?”
And a fourth responded: “The only way this has happened is because Usyk is all business, has no ego and therefore is happy to concede trivial issues like this”.

Historical significance
The Tropicana Las Vegas opened on April 4, 1957.
At the time it was the most expensive and lavish casino on the Strip, costing $15 million to build.
Nicknamed the “Tiffany of the Strip” for its opulence, it quickly became a hotspot for celebrities and high-rollers.
The resort had early connections to organized crime figures like Frank Costello.
Over the decades it underwent numerous expansions and ownership changes.
The site will be cleared to make way for the construction of a new Major League Baseball stadium for the Oakland Athletics[/caption]
The Tropicana hosted legendary entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin.
In its 67-year history, it remained a familiar landmark on the Las Vegas Strip, blending classic Vegas charm with modern amenities through various renovations.
Its demolition marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.
Future plans
The site will be cleared to make way for the construction of a new Major League Baseball stadium for the Oakland Athletics — a $1.5 billion, 33,000-fan capacity domed ballpark.
There will also be a new entertainment resort destination created in partnership with Bally’s Corporation.
The A’s stadium will be built on nine acres of the 35-acre site, with Tropicana owner Bally’s planning to construct a future resort on the remaining acreage.
Plans are on track to have the site cleared for the A’s to begin construction on the ballpark in the second quarter of 2025.
2 weeks agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Dramatic new footage shows Ukraine’s Sea Baby drone terrorising Putin’s invaders – before returning to fight another day
DRAMATIC new footage has emerged showing Ukraine’s Sea Baby drone wreaking havoc on Russian positions and terrorising Putin’s troops.
Unlike Kamikaze drones that blow up near enemy targets, the advanced Sea Baby drones are designed to attack and return to the battlefield to fight another day.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) unveils the first combat footage of next-generation Sea Baby drones[/caption]
The drones are armed with Grad missiles[/caption]
A previous generation of these drones was used in the July 2023 attack on the Kerch Bridge[/caption]
Footage shows missiles being blasted into the air[/caption]
Incredible footage released by Kyiv’s troops shows these powerful unmanned boats firing deadly rockets straight into the air to target Russian positions.
This includes Russian-occupied areas of Kinburn Spit, which extends west into the Black Sea between the Dnipro-Bug estuary and Yahorlyk Bay.
With a range of up to 1,000km, these advanced drones can be seen hitting long-range targets with accuracy while defending themselves from being damaged by enemy attacks.
Military bosses are understood to have assembled a team of specialists from across the fields to ramp up the production of these drones.
And they are being made in “underground” factories which Putin’s missiles cannot reach.
Vasyl Malyuk, head of Ukraine’s security service SBU said: “The Security Service of Ukraine has brought together the best specialists from many fields.
“These are engineers, programmers, and sailors currently working on the production and further successful use of naval drones.
“This is a production facility. It is located in Ukraine at one of the underground factories.”
A spokesman for the SBU said: “This is not a classic kamikaze drone whose task is to find a target, hit it and explode.
“These are drones that perform tasks and return to the base.
“In particular, SBU drones can be used to carry out remote mining, and they can also be used to [deploy] various types of weapons, including Grad systems.
“So the new generation of SSU Sea Baby drones – which all Ukrainians can donate to – are already being used in combat.
“One example of such use is strikes on [Russian] positions on the Kinburn Spit from rocket launchers.”
Ukraine’s military has mastered drone warfare since Putin first invaded the country in February 2022.
Ukraine’s “Achilles” troops are specialised drone warfare units within the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, playing a pivotal role in Ukraine’s ongoing defence against Russian forces.
These troops have gained recognition for their expertise in using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in combat, particularly in repelling Russian assaults and destroying enemy equipment.
The battalion operates highly effective UAVs, such as the “Vampire” drones, which have been instrumental in targeting Russian positions and equipment, particularly in nighttime operations.
Incredible footage showed the relentless battle on the streets of Toretsk, in the war-torn Donetsk region.
The two-minute video shared on X shows Ukrainian units of the Lyut Assault Brigade at work as they wipe out enemy troops.
Just like in video games, a red frame would flash at every moment one of Mad Vlad‘s men – who would have a Russian flag indicating their position – was hit.
A pair of dark wings would then be added to the flag once the enemy was wiped out.
The action-packed clip begins with Kyiv‘s brave men heading to the battleground in a truck before they unload the vehicle and head off to fight.
A series of POV scenes unfolds showing the flawless battle tactics on the ravaged streets of Toretsk as blasts can be seen and heard in the background.
Located close to the frontlines of the war in eastern Ukraine, Toretsk has been heavily affected by the war.
How Russia is using war wolves to combat drones
By Nick Parker, Foreign Editor
RUSSIA has deployed war wolves on the Ukraine front line — because the beasts react early to kamikaze drone sounds.
Troops say the howling animals have a good sense of smell, are sociable and active, and can warn of danger in advance.
Two tamed wolves have been sent to serve with Vladimir Putin’s soldiers and more will follow if the experiment is a success.
A Russian news agency reported: “The predators can hear the approach of drones and warn of danger in advance.
“They will help Russian soldiers carry out combat missions in the [war] zone.”
The two females were rescued from Siberian region Khakassia and raised by wolf-tamer Aleksandr Konchakov.
In a video, he can be seen feeding ice cream to one of the wolves, called Vysota.
He said: “The puppies were simply brought to me by hunters without a mother.
“They have excellent intuition and are smart.”
Moscow State Circus chief Edgard Zapashny said: “I hope these two female wolves, who will now be with our fighters, will not be harmed, and that the men will surround them with care and ensure their safety.
“In turn, they will save the lives of our soldiers.”

A MECHANIC has warned drivers against buying a popular SUV model despite it topping a recent “best list”.
Judges described the model as “one of the most well-rounded” available, but one expert didn’t feel it was suited to all occasions.
Mechanic Sherwood Cooke Jr ran the rule over a recent ranking of SUVs[/caption]
Car whizzes from automotive sales platform Edmunds recently created a list ranking the best SUVs on the market for 2024.
Models were broken down into size categories and rated based on price, amenities and safety.
The VW Taos claimed the crown in the extra small SUV division with an “Edmunds rating” of 8.1/10.
The experts praised its modern setup and easy driving style for a very reasonable $25,420 retail price.
In their review, the experts said: “Volkswagen’s smallest SUV is a big deal.
“The Taos packs plenty of modern tech and safety features into a tidy package. It also has excellent passenger and cargo space.
“Overall it’s one of the most well-rounded and family-friendly offerings in the class.”
However, Sherwood Cooke Jr of Royalty Auto Service in Georgia was less convinced.
In a TikTok video reviewing the list, which has amassed more than 4,000 likes, he explained which of Edmunds’ picks he would buy himself.
Asked about the Taos, he suggested it wouldn’t be in his garage any time soon.
He said: “I’m going to say maybe.
“Just depends on the situation.
“How are they ranking these?
“How much you have to spend in the first 30 minutes of ownership?”
Sherwood also wasn’t a fan of the second-place Chevrolet Trailblazer despite its 8/10 rating.
What makes a car a lemon?
Each law has different parameters on what defines a lemon, but generally, a car is lemon when it's in the shop for longer than it's on the road.
Progressive Auto Insurance describes a lemon as a car with “a significant defect or malfunction that makes it unsafe to drive,” though exact parameters vary by state. All 50 states have lemon laws covering new vehicles, but only seven have lemon laws to protect used car buyers.
Federally, however, consumers are protected under U.S. Code Chapter 50 covering consumer product warranties. In layman’s terms, the law dictates that consumers be compensated by the manufacturer when “multiple attempts to repair a vehicle under warranty fail.”
What to do if you think you bought a lemon:
Research your state’s lemon laws and their exact parameters.
Contact the dealership, especially if it’s still under factory warranty.
If the dealership refuses to repair the issue, contact the Automotive Consumer Action Program or the National Automobile Dealers Association.
Send a certified letter to the manufacturer with an explanation of the issue, with documentation and proof that you’ve contacted a dealership.
Depending on the outcome, you can report the dealership to the DMV for selling a car that needs immediate repairs.
