NONI MADUEKE has been passed fit for England duty in a big boost for boss Lee Carsley.
The Chelsea winger gave the national team boss and fans a scare when he had to be helped off the pitch in the dying moments of Sunday’s feisty draw with Nottingham Forest.
Madueke hobbled straight down the tunnel after scoring an equaliser for his club in a pulsating match amid worries he had sustained a foot injury.
But after 24 hours rest the in-form Blues star is ready to play for England in the forthcoming Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland.
Madueke, 22, has been one of Chelsea’s best players this season and has cemented his place in the Premier League squad.
Sunday’s second-half leveller at home to Forest was his fifth goal of the campaign so far.
He scored a hat-trick at Wolves in August as Chelsea won that match 6-2 at the Molineux Stadium.
He has also become one of Carsley’s new generation of senior England players, having been called up for the first time to the main squad during the last international break in September.
Madueke was a regular for Carlsey when he was Under-21 boss and has been promoted alongside his old coach.
He gained an assist in the home match against the Finns when setting up England skipper Harry Kane for his second goal at Wembley.

England are at home to Greece on Thursday then travel to Finland on Sunday.
Madueke has previously hailed Carsley as a manager as well as his ability to lay out tactics for matches.
He told BBC 5 Live: “First of all, he’s a great person. He’s a really good guy, and he’s very personable.
“He has a lot of human qualities that makes you feel good and at home.
“He’s also a great tactician. He has great ideas, and he’s also able to implement the way he wants to play in your mind and make it easy for you.
“I feel that the top managers all have that, and that’s a quality that he definitely has as well.
“I couldn’t speak more highly of him. He won the Euros with us.
“I feel like he’s a great manager – he knows the pathway, knows the system, knows the FA, he’s been working here for a long time, similar to Gareth (Southgate) in that sense.
“I hope he can do extremely well. I know I’ve got all the belief in him, for sure.”
Madueke will be joined in the squad by his Chelsea team-mates Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill.

KANYE West and Bianca Censori dropped a series of clues that they had split as it’s revealed they’re ‘headed for divorce’.
The pair reportedly broke up a few weeks ago and the rapper plans to make the split official soon, according to sources close to the stars.
The couple, who married in December 2022, reportedly hit a rough patch in their relationship recently – but it’s unclear why.
The outlet reports that the two have been talking about their break-up with their inner circle, according to TMZ.
Over the course of the last few weeks, the pair have dropped signs that they had drifted apart.
Ye, 47, plans to move to Tokyo, one of his usual vacation spots, following the divorce.

OASIS have announced two new dates on their reunion tour next year – but fans aren’t happy about it.
The band shared a post on Instagram last night revealing they’ll perform in Australia next year.
Registration for pre-sale tickets is open for 24 hours and those successful in the ballot will be given access to buy them on October 14.
One frustrated fan replied: “Probably be cheaper to fly from the UK to Melbourne than it was to buy a ticket for Wembley”.

SIR David Jason has opened up about discovering a daughter he never knew existed.
The beloved actor, 84, learned in 2022 that he’d fathered Abi Harris in 1970 following a brief relationship.
Speaking today on BBC Breakfast, the TV legend said: “It was a letter that took me by surprise, and it was from a daughter that I didn’t know I had.
“It was a tremendous shock and we’ve since been meeting and getting together.
“We’re fine, we’re lovely. We’re getting to know each other which takes a bit of time, no she’s great and it’s very rewarding.
“It was a girlfriend and that part, I never knew about it.
“I went to work in the theatre and the girlfriend went off to work in her theatre and that was the end of it.”
Meanwhile, Sir David revealed the support he’d received since the revelation.
He added: “My wife has been a tremendous help in this direction and she’s been extremely supportive and without that I don’t think I could have managed.
“Because of Gill’s reaction and her ability to understand it’s been a remarkable achievement on all our behalves. It’s positive.
“It’s the journey, not the arrival and it’s the fun of the journey.
“That’s just another part of life’s rich pattern or life’s rich journey that it throws at you.

Full House
The US sitcom Full House was created in 1987 with Bob Saget starring father-of-three Danny Tanner. After his wife died, he called in the help of his brother-in-law Jesse (John Stamos) and best friend Joey (Dave Coulier) to move in and help raise his young daughters, DJ (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen). After eight series, the show came to an end before Netflix revived the franchise for a spin-off, Fuller House.
Golden Girls
Seven series aired from 1985 until 1992. It followed Four women – who were previously married – moved in together in a shared apartment in Miami. Together, they faced various struggles and encounter comical situations in their daily lives. Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty starred in roles that short them to superstardom.

1982 was the year that saw the inception of Cheers. An eclectic group of people from all different paths of life meet at a bar Cheers. The boston boozer sees the group share their experiences as they work and drank at the establishment. It starred the likes of Ted Danson, Shelley Long, Rhea Perlman. Huge names such as Kelsey Grammer, Woody Harrelson and Kirstie Alley also starred in the hit series.
Growing Pains
Dr. Jason Seaver (Alan Thicke) is a psychiatrist who works from home so his wife, Maggie (Joanna Kerns), can resume her career as a journalist. STRICTLY Come Dancing's latest series has already been hit by rumours of a BBC show 'curse' - yet what is it?
A host of Strictly Come Dancing stars have been struck by the Strictly Curse during the past two decades.
This is where celebrities who may or may not be attached in the outside world become more than friends with their professional partners.
A total of 20 relationships are said to have been impacted so far over the show’s 20 years.
It has seen relationships crumble with dance floor romances and punishing rehearsal schedules to blame.
This includes the partnerships of Louise and Jamie Redknapp as well as Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer.
Controversially, Judge Craig Revel Horwood once said of the curse: “I think of it as a blessing, to be honest. One person is married, the other one had a girlfriend but my point in this entire thing is: if you come on Strictly, sometimes you are in a relationship that is not working anyway.
“There has to be something wrong in your relationship before it all goes awry.”
Series one winner Brendan Cole left his fiancé, fellow Strictly professional Camilla Dallerup, during filming for the very first series in spring 2004.

A ROCK icon has revealed she’s had major surgery just months after her band cancelled their tour.
Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson, 58, posted a picture from her hospital bed to update fans on her condition.
With her mouth wide open, she flashed two peace signs and wrote: “I’m choosing to remind myself, as I lie here trying to recover from major surgery, that there are still beautiful things in the world’.
“Animals, flowers, oceans, trees. I’m so grateful to all the people who have gone out of their way to love on me, take care of me, check in on me.
“I cling on to their kindness and their thoughtfulness and their care. Mostly I have spent the week in bed. Mostly I have been doomscrolling.”
Another post saw her triumphantly declare: “She lives.”
Shirley suffered an injury in the summer on a European tour that put an end to Garbage’s live shows for the remainder of the year.
In a post on social media, the band told fans they were “crushed” by the decision and added: “You know we would push through if we could.”
A statement released by the band on Instagram, read: “It is with great and sincere regret that we announce the cancellation of all of our remaining dates for the rest of the year, due to an injury that Shirley sustained on our recent tour in Europe that will require surgery and rehabilitation to correct.
“This is not a decision we have taken lightly and we apologise wholeheartedly to our amazing fans and supportive promoters.
“We look forward to playing for you all again in 2025. Sending so much love as always, stay kind.”
A number of fellow musicians replied to the announcement wishing Manson well, including Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, former Cramps guitarist Kid Congo Powers, and Bikini Kill lead singer Kathleen Hanna.
Powers wrote in reply to the post: “Health comes first, a must. Here’s to a complete recovery.”
Garbage were formed in 1994, when Scottish singer Manson met American band mates Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker, they have gone on to have six UK top 10 singles and six UK top 10 albums.
Prior to joining the band, Butch produced Nirvana’s classic album Nevermind in 1991.
Something of a rarity, the group has maintained its original line-up for the entirety of their its existence.
Garbage’s best known songs include Stupid Girl, Only Happy When It Rains and the theme to the 1999 James Bond film, The World Is Not Enough.
Last year Manson revealed how the band had to weather a torrent of criticism in the 90s.
She told the BBC: “We were criticised for not being a real band. To this day, people dismiss us as a ‘producer’s band’. We’ve got it in the neck from everyone, no matter what we’ve done.”
Shirley added: “We’ve somehow managed to build a career by refusing to listen to people,” says Manson. “We have, in inverted commas, ‘a bad attitude’, but that attitude has allowed us to carve out a niche for ourselves.”
The inspiring rocker has also dealth with perosnal adversity during the band’s career. In the late noughties, her mum was diagnosed with Pick’s disease and died just 12 months later.
The neurodegenerative condition is an aggressive from of dementia, most common in people under 65.
She told the Guardian how her rescue dog, Veela, provided her with great comfort in the aftermath.
She said: ‘”In real life, I was struggling to process my mother’s death but whenever I came home from work there would be Veela, dancing on her hind legs, demanding to be walked, to be fed, to be cuddled, to be engaged with. Slowly, I began to heal.”
A GOOD Morning Britain anchor has revealed they’ll be “on leave” from tomorrow in a presenter shake-up – and will be taking most of the month off.
The ITV broadcaster, 54, joked they were “retiring from public life” as they opened up on their upcoming absence.
Entertainment reporter Richard Arnold will be off-screen until October 21 and enjoying a well-deserved break.
After Good Morning Britain frontman Ed Balls, 57, asked: “Where are you going?” he told how he would be spending some time with his parent Dot.
The TV star now spends hours a day looking after the 81-year-old in the afternoons after hosting the showbiz news.
He joked: “I am retiring from public life until the 21st, then I will be back for Pride Of Britain.”
Ed continued: “Are you off to an island?” to which Richard said: “No.
“I will be spending a bit of quality time with mother as always.”
Fellow host Susanna Reid, 53, said: “Aww you are the ideal son.
“I just hope that my boys at your age say the same thing.”
This prompted Richard to quip: “I wish my mother would say the same thing but I think she’s thinking I’m a little bit too needy.
“You left home at 17 son, thank you and goodnight.”
Susanna then added: “All our love to your lovely mum.”
In December, Richard opened up on what he deemed a “challenging year” for his family.
After revealing it was his last work shift of 2023 before the festive break he said: “I would like to thank the staff at St Mary’s Hospital who have looked after my mum on and off.
“The care teams out there, all of you out there who do that job – and unsung.
“And to all my friends and family who have wrapped me up in cotton wool this year as well, in what has been quite a challenging year.
“And to all my friends and colleagues and the entertainment team who put this stellar slot together.
“We managed to get to the end of the year gang!
“Merry Christmas to you all, have a good one.”
Richard previously told how his co-star Kate Garraway had been a source of support behind the scenes.
Kate was a carer for her late husband Derek Draper for almost four years, before he tragically passed away in January.
Speaking to The Sun, for Sue Ryder’s Grief Kind Campaign, he said: “It’s been a very public journey for Kate as well as a very private one and I think the spotlight that she’s put on the caring profession, in particular because I, you know, I care for my mum daily.
“Mum had a bout of ill health last year and unfortunately she’s now no longer independent and I’m there every day.
“I remember saying to Kate, you know, you sort of feel guilty when you are there, are you doing enough? And then you feel guilty when you’re not there enough. Anyone who’s in that position as a sort of unpaid carer knows it’s a huge responsibility.
“Particularly with someone that you love and cherish and you want to make every day the best you can for them.
“So what Kate has done in shining a light on that community I think it’s extraordinary.”
