SERIE A star Marco Curto has been hit with a TEN-MATCH BAN for racially abusing Wolves ace Hwang Hee-chan.

Fifa have found Curto guilty after he allegedly made a vile “Jackie Chan” comment towards the Premier League winger in a preseason friendly.

The controversy erupted during a closed-doors friendly in Marbella which Wolves won 1-0.

The clash was marred by an incident after 68 minutes when Hwang alleged he had been racially abused by an opponent.

His furious team-mate Daniel Podence was so incensed he lashed out at a Como defender and was sent-off by the referee.

Como said one of their players made a reference surrounding Hwang’s name and that the complaint was “out of proportion”.

But now Fifa have upheld the formal complaint made by South Korea‘s national football association.

A spokesperson for the world governing body said: “Marco Curto was found responsible for discriminatory behaviour and sanctioned with a 10-match suspension.

“Serving of half of those matches is suspended for a probation period of two years.

“The player is ordered to render community services and undergo training and education with an organisation approved by Fifa.”

The South Korea player’s national football association contacted Fifa in July to express “serious concerns” about the incident.

SunSport asked Como for comment after the game on July 16.

Wolves are understood to welcome the decision and held talks with the FA over how best to move forward with taking it to the relevant bodies.

Uefa insisted it cannot look into the incident because it did not take place during a competitive Uefa match.

The Molineux club are expected to issue a formal statement later.

Curto is currently on loan with Italian second tier side Cesena.

A Como spokesperson said Curto had told club chief’s he had told a fellow defender “ignore (Hwang), he thinks he’s Jackie Chan”.

Mirwan Suwarso said: “Having spoken to our player at length, we are confident this was in reference to the player’s name.

“And to the constant references of ‘Channy’ made by his own team-mates on the pitch.

“As far as our club is concerned our player did not say anything in a derogatory manner.

“We are disappointed that the reaction of certain Wolves players has seen the incident blown out of proportion.”

Announcing the come back on Instagram, Allsopp’s Beer revealed that Double Diamond has been set to make a return.

The caption of the September 25 post read: “It’s back, and it still works wonders!

“After months of research and trialling recipes to make it perfect, we’ve relaunched Double Diamond.

“Revived as a 3.8% pale ale that drinks like a lager, it’s a delicious, easy-going, sessionable draught beer, coming very soon to your favourite pubs.”

First made in 1876, the new and improved recipe seems to be a hit with punters.

Many have already taken to the comments section to express their joy at the relaunch.

One user commented: “Working wonders!”

Another said: “We tried and can say it’s stunning!! Safe to say we have it in the cellar waiting to come back on!!”

Someone else wrote: “The first beer I had the privilege of tasting in the company of my beloved Grandad, watching match of the day not quite the same these days.”

A fourth put: “Something to look out for.”

Another commented: “Where? Can’t wait to try it out.”

The brewery has revealed Double Diamond will not be their only offering with other old beers to make an appearance.

Drinkers could opt for a pint of Hofmeister, Kestrel Pilsner or Watneys Party Seven keg, all from the same brand.

Those hoping to find other drinks by the brewery could also hop to Allsopp’s Best Bitter.

Marketed at being “perfect for any occasion” the beer has notes of forest fruit, marmalade and biscuit.

KOBBIE MAINNO, Ezri Konsa and Morgan Gibbs-White have all withdrawn from England’s upcoming Uefa Nations League squad.

The Three Lions host Greece at Wembley on Thursday, before heading to Finland on Sunday, in Lee Carsley‘s second round of fixtures.

The trio all sustained injuries for their respective clubs over the weekend and have been ruled out of the Three Lions’ games.

Konsa, 26, suffered a hamstring injury and left the field just 12 minutes into Villa’s goalless draw with Manchester United.

And Gibbs-White, 24, was removed after 76 minutes of Nottingham Forest‘s 1-1 draw at Chelsea.

But Mainoo played 85 minutes at Old Trafford on Sunday before he was replaced by Casemiro.

Mainoo has been carrying a knock for some time.

The Man Utd star was subbed off shortly before half-time during Erik ten Hag‘s 3-0 demolition by Tottenham a fortnight ago.

He travelled to Portugal with the Red Devils on Thursday as they drew 3-3 with Porto, but missed the game with a minor injury.

Meanwhile Carsley handed Konsa a starting role when the Three Lions beat Finland 2-0 at Wembley on 10 September.

Gibbs-White made his senior debut for England from the bench during their 2-0 victory against the Republic of Ireland on 7 September.

EMMERDALE’S Tom King outraged as he smashed tablet – unaware someone was watching.

In Monday’s episode of the ITV soap, Tom kept a very close eye on Isaac, waiting for a chance to reclaim his tablet.

When he got Isaac alone, he asked for it back.

But, Isaac claimed it was at home and even revealed where the spare key was hidden so Tom could retrieve it.

Sneaking into Butlers Farm, Tom searched for the tablet.

But, he was forced to hide when Matty unexpectedly walked in.

Meanwhile, Belle questioned Moira about the voicemail she left.

But Moira, having suffered a seizure last week, couldn’t remember anything.

Moira had previously seen incriminating images on the iPad before the seizure.

Belle was shocked to see Tom, who smugly boasted about his impending victory in court, filling her with dread.

Later, believing he was alone, Tom started smashing the tablet with a brick, unaware that his young cousin Carl Holliday was secretly watching.

Meanwhile, Moira fretted to Vanessa about her upcoming appointment.

And Manpreet noticed the tension as Charles and Jai faced off.

Embarrassed, Charles was left humiliated when Manpreet scolded him before walking away.

Later, Charles confided in Laurel about his clash with Jai.

Though Laurel tried to discuss it, Charles stood firm and ended their relationship.

Laurel and Arthur’s relationship was in turmoil, while Nicola managed to coax a confession from Arthur.

Arthur admitted that he never slept with John, and made it up to seem more mature and experienced.

Nicola urged him to tell the truth to his mum Laurel and apologise to John.

John accepted his apology, but Laurel was shocked that he could damage someone’s reputation so carelessly.
