Inside Liam Gallagher’s £75,000-a-week Ibiza party house he hired for his mega birthday bash

Given Oasis have sold out every date of their reunion tour so far, it’s only fair to celebrate in style.

Liam Gallagher spent the past week living it large in Ibiza – and my exclusive pictures show just what a party palace he chose.

He spent £75,000 hiring out a nine-bedroom house called Fincadelica Xarraca on the White Isle.

Along with 20 of his closest family and friends, bar brother Noel (awkward), Liam spent a week living it up in the posh pad.

It even had a sound-proofed club, meaning they could party all night without disturbing neighbours.

Deborah Boyd, who runs Fincadelica Xarraca, told me: “We adored hosting Liam and his group.

“They were all super-kind, friendly, down to earth and really low key.

“They were wonderful guests and we really enjoyed hosting them.”

As well as getting the run of the massive house, which previously had stars including Bob Marley use it for photoshoots, Liam and his guests had full use of the villa’s staff including private chef, chef’s assistant, morning and evening waiter, house manager, chauffeur and three additional cleaners — just in case things got a little wild.

A source said: “After Liam played the Malta Weekender he hired out the villa for a treat for his family and friends.

“This was time for him to unwind with his inner circle.”

It seems Liam might still be feeling it from a week of partying though.

On Sunday he was asked by a fan what he’d been up to, and he told them: “Recovering from a little jolly of sorts.”

Another disco legend, Nile Rodgers, also appeared at the show in Los Angeles[/caption]

The jet lag must have got to Raye as she decided to perform in her nighty while in Los Angeles.

The British success story wore the pink, silk negligee as she sang at the American Music Awards 50th anniversary celebration on Sunday night, where she rubbed shoulders with some industry legends.

Disco stars Chaka Khan and Nile Rodgers took to the stage, as did Mariah Carey, who performed her hit We Belong Together from their 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi.

Speaking about that time in her career before the song spent 14 weeks at No1 in the US, she said: “People had written me off.

“And the song of the decade with We Belong Together – it had to be that big of a record for me to actually have a comeback.”

Bassist Glen Matlock is not expecting a reunion with original singer John Lydon any time soon[/caption]

After their run of shows in September, Frank Carter is staying on board with the Sex Pistols and will tour with them again.

In an exclusive chat, bass player Glen Matlock told me Frank would hit the road with him, drummer Paul Cook and guitarist Steve Jones after Frank announced his band The Rattlesnakes were going on hiatus.

Glen said: “We’ve just done these shows and we’re going to do some more.

“We obviously rehearsed and if it was no good we wouldn’t have done it. We’re all proud of what we’ve managed to cook up in quite a short space of time.

“Now it looks like there will probably be more, so I’m waiting to hear what the upshot of it all is. But it’s all been very positive.”

On having Frank in for the shows instead of original singer John Lydon, Glen said: “It’s become fun, it’s a different thing without John.

“But John was never going to do it, and I don’t think we really wanted him to do it either. He’s a miserable old git these days.

“Over the years I think he’s sort of painted himself into a bit of a corner. It happened to me once and now it’s happened to him.”

Glen, who will head out on a solo tour of the UK next month, also said he didn’t think he’d ever see eye-to-eye with John again – after he took legal action to try to stop Sex Pistols songs appearing in Danny Boyle’s TV series about the band.

When asked if they could reform with John in the future, with the 50th anniversary of album Never Mind The Bollocks in 2027, Glen said: “Sadly no. I can’t.

“But I’m not losing any sleep over that at all.”

Coldplay’s Moon rocketing to the top

Coldplay’s Moon Music has already sold 160,000 copies – despite only being released on Friday[/caption]

Coldplay have already sold a whopping 160,000 copies of their new album Moon Music, despite it only coming out on Friday.

The group, whose debut single was released 25 years ago, have proved they’ve still got what it takes to top the charts.

Their latest record is already the fastest-selling album by a British act of 2024 so far.

They are on course to score the biggest week for an act from the UK since Adele released her fourth album 30 in 2021.

That debuted with first-week sales of 261,000. Although it will be a fight to beat Adele, they have sailed past sales records set by Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran in recent years.

Coldplay are also expected to have a handful of songs in the Top 20 come Friday.

But Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion have a challenge on their hands if they want to score the fastest-selling album of the year overall.

Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department sold 270,000 copies in seven days when it came out in April.

You’ve got your work cut out, lads.

Perrie Edwards is struggling to juggle her life as a mum, long-distance partner and star.

She said it has been a struggle since her fiancé, footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain signed for a club in Turkey.

She told BBC Breakfast: “I’m in a circus right now, juggling so much, being a mum and not getting the mum guilt while also wanting a solo career and also doing promo and visiting my partner in Turkey. I can’t even sugar coat it. It’s hard.”

What’s red, white and puts on a great show?

Well, it was Chappell Roan in this outfit.

She wore a studded leather cowgirl costume to perform on the final day of Austin City Limits Festival in Texas.

It was good to see her back in the saddle, after pulling out of shows the previous weekend due to the stresses and strains of her newfound fame and hectic schedule.

The Good Luck Babe singer wrote on Instagram: “Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it.

“I feel pressures to prioritise a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritise my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible.”

Luckily for her, she will play one more festival this weekend before getting time off to take care of herself.

But given she still has her difficult second album to write, that might not be as relaxing as she hopes.

Stereophonics have announced their biggest tour at sports grounds and stadiums for next summer.

They will kick off at Belfast Belsonic on June 5, with six further shows in the UK and Ireland, ending at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

Frontman Kelly Jones said he was so excited, “we should make a new album, oh wait, we already did that!”

Miquita ‘jealous’ of Alex and Fearne

TV presenter Miquita Oliver has confessed to feeling ‘jealous’ of fellow presenters Fearne Cotton and Alexa Chung
Channel 4

Miquita Oliver says jealousy over fellow telly presenters Fearne Cotton and Alexa Chung sent her self-confidence spiralling.

During the latest episode of her podcast Miss Me, she spoke of a “f***ing horrible” time when she left the T4 show Popworld after five years and was replaced by Alexa and Alex Zane.

She explained: “They were very clean and very thin and very groomed. It was a head f***.

“The next few years were very difficult because Alexa’s fame and everything she did in the world really rose and rose and I just sank and sank. I always saw it as a comparison. But now we’re peers and equals and it’s lovely to see her.”

On comparisons to Fearne, she added: “Fearne was blonde and the way probably 90 per cent of TV presenters looked at the time. I felt very lonely and very brown and on my own in this world.

“I was constantly told that I was grubby and that she was sort of clean and pretty.”

Who is Izaaz on Big Brother 2024? Meet the father and sales consultant from Swansea

IZAAZ is one of the housemates moving into the Big Brother house for the show’s 2024 series.

He is a father-of-one from Swansea who hopes to snag the ITV show’s £100,000 prize, but first he has to get past his stiff competition. Here’s everything you need to know about the sales consultant.

A star from Swansea

Izaaz is 29-years-old and lives in London, though he is originally from Swansea, Wales.

The sales consultant decided to join the Big Brother house so he could meet people from a range of backgrounds.

He said: “I want to go through the experience of going into the house around a group of different and diverse people – backgrounds, cultures, everything.

“I think it would be a great experience to be around that as I’ve never done that.

“As I get older I really want to experience different things and I thought this would be the right time to do it and fortunately for me I have been picked – I’m quite chuffed, I won’t lie!”

Father-of-one

Izaaz has a son and he is a big motivation for the 29-year-old dad’s determination to win the show’s £100,000 prize.

He said: “£100,000 is a lot of money and a good amount of money to try and stabilise a better future.

“I would use it to help my son as he grows older.

“If I do end up having more kids or a family later on – it’s sustainability for the family later on.”

The sales consultant doesn’t have a strategy for getting to the final, other than being himself as he hopes his “loud” personality will take him far.

However, ultimately, Izaaz wants to bring “happiness” and “kindness” to the house and hopes to make the others housemates’ reality TV experience a positive one.

Big Brother begins

The hit show returned on October 6, 2024, for another season of legendary drama and iconic moments.

Big Brother will air each night, except Saturdays, at 9pm on IV2.

The contestants will be under the 24-hour watch of the hidden camera in the house, as the public vote them out one-by-one.

Meghan made Harry feel like spare part so it’s no surprise she’s stepped out alone..duchess looked thrilled, expert says

MEGHAN Markle made Prince Harry feel like a spare part on their joint ventures, a royal expert claims.

The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance – without Harry – at a Children’s Hospital gala in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Meghan, who was wearing a plunging red Carolina Herrera gown, was seen greeting young fans and rubbing shoulders with the likes of Demi Lovato and Kaley Cuoco.

Earlier this month Harry made a solo trip to Lesotho in southern Africa, in order to drive work for his charity Sentebale.

That trip came after Harry made a brief visit to the UK – also without Meghan – to pay tribute to children and teenagers recognised at the WellChild Awards.

Royal author Phil Dampier told The Sun we may be seeing a “new normal” from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He said: “In the last couple of weeks we’ve got used to seeing Harry flying solo, so to speak.

“He’s been in New York. He’s been in Africa. He’s been over here in London, and it’s fairly obvious that he’s decided to spread his wings and branch out and do things on his own.

“I think he felt that he was becoming a bit of a spare part with Meghan on some of the trips that he went with her to, certainly to Colombia and Nigeria.

“I think she came across as the dominant partner, and perhaps he felt a little bit like a sort of spare part, or sort of bolt on accessory, if you like, and I think that’s probably rankled with him a little bit.

“So he’s obviously decided to do things differently.”

The Duchess of Sussex had previously accompanied Harry to Africa in May this year, and to Colombia in mid-August.

A source close to Harry and Meghan previously said: “It is normal for couples to not do everything together.”

The Duke has recently attended a string of events in New York unaccompanied by his wife.

Mr Dampier said: “Well, now we’ve seen Meghan on her own as well, just to sort of reinforce the fact that to some extent they seem to be leading separate lives – certainly on the sort of work front.

“She’s turned up at a gala in Los Angeles wearing a dress, in fact, very stunning red dress that she’d she’d worn before on previous occasion with Harry a couple of years ago.

“And she looked, I have to say, she looked very relaxed. She looked very sort of happy.

“She was laughing and joking with the kids at this event at a Children’s hospital gala.”

He added: “Clearly they’ve decided that at the moment it’s better for them to go their separate ways in terms of their work commitments and their charity commitments.”

Shoppers are set for ‘higher prices’ again, expert reveals, but says to look out for ‘unique offerings’

SHOPPERS are being warned to expect higher prices in local shops during the upcoming holiday season after new research revealed almost 90% of small businesses have been hit by inflation.

A new report from Constant Contact found 89% of small businesses are being hit by price pressures as they prepare for the year’s most critical sales period.

Dave Charest
Constant Contact director Dave Charest had warned small businesses are feeling the weight of inflation[/caption]

The research – which analyzed survey data from over 1,600 executives at companies with 250 employees or less – found small businesses were cutting back on expenses to manage costs.

About 52% of consumers said they have cut spending while 39% of businesses said they had passed on price hikes to consumers to deal with economic headwinds.

The proportion of US consumers planning to decrease their spending at small businesses was 52%, or almost double since 2022.

Constant Contact Small Business expert Dave Charest said small business owners did not want to raise prices and would only do it as a last resort.

“The last thing they want to do is raise prices but they are beholden to the economy just as much as the consumers are,” he said.

“So if you are seeing higher prices you’re good to think that it’s only because they’ve needed to do that not because they’ve wanted to.”

SHOP LOCAL

Charest urged shoppers to continue supporting businesses in their local neighborhoods rather than opting to do their holiday shopping at Amazon, Target or Walmart

According to Constant Contact’s research, 62% of consumers cited price as a major factor in their holiday shopping.

Charest emphasized how important the holiday shopping season was for small businesses’ bottom line.

He said all businesses were taking action to mitigate the impact of inflation on their businesses, including cutting down on marketing costs and investing in technology.

About 46% of small businesses that were polled were cutting down their expenses.

While inflation has started to moderate in the US economy, prices are still 21.2% more expensive since the pandemic-induced recession began in February 2020, according to analysis undertaken by consumer finance company Bankrate.

PRICES SOAR

Prices in August rose 2.5%, down from a 2.9% rate in July and hitting a new three-year low according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics monthly consumer price index report.

Ahead of the release of updated CPI figures on Thursday, Bankrate’s data found Americans would need about $1,212 to buy the same goods and services that cost $1,000 in 2020.

While the Federal Reserve has begun to cut rates, economists say consumers might have to wait three to 12 months for the policy change to work its way through the economy.

LOOK FOR DEALS

Ahead of the holiday shopping season, Charest said small businesses may be an attractive option for shoppers.

He urged customers to look out for deals or bundle offers from small businesses.

“Often it’s about making sure their businesses are unique so they may offer a personalized service, better quality of stocks or loyalty programs,” Charest said.

“Ultimately we all want to do what we can to support our communities and consumers said they still plan to buy from small businesses, as the money goes back into their local community and makes them feel good.”

The new study comes ahead of a busy festive season, with small businesses heavily reliant on the end of year shopping period.

Small businesses rely on at least 50% of annual sales to the holiday period, almost doubling since 2023.

Jeep owners favorite feature set to disappear forever and drivers are slamming the ‘weird decision’

JEEP drivers have slammed the American automobile brand after the latest decision to remove one iconic feature from the 2025 model.

Marking the end of the old school era, the feature was previously exclusive to the Sport S amongst a few others.

Petrol heads may be disappointed to hear of the fan favourite being removed from future vehicles amongst a handful of other changes.

Jeep have announced that certain models will no longer have crank windows instead being replaced by power locks and the use of an electric button.

This comes just four months after the Wrangler 392 Final Edition was announced with the company focusing on making drivers lives easier.

Many have already taken to comment on social media about the latest discovery and the reaction seems mixed.

One user suggested Jeep’s change to crank windows was a “weird decision”.

Another wrote: “I think it’s a lot easier pushing a button on an app than removing the roof and doors when coming back to your car from a hike / trip to the mall etc. and for security reasons leaving all the body panels in place when your car is unattended for hours at a time…”

Someone else simply put: “Strange…”

Anchor of The Daily News Drop, Jeff Vaughn, also took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the announcement.

He wrote: “Lots of business news this week, but this story caught my eye: The 2025 Jeep Wrangler will be the last year with hand crank windows.

“After that, power windows and power locks will be standard across the Wrangler line-up.

“You can still get a manual transmission Jeep Wrangler, however.”

Another addition from the off-roading brand is the new olive paint color known at ’41.

This model can be equipped with Active Cabin Ventilation, a new offering that allows pre-ventilation of a vehicle via a mobile app.

Inside eerie ghost town with hundreds of abandoned homes left empty for more than a century over dark past

THIS eerie ghost town used to be home to thousands but now lays abandoned due to its dark past.

Turkey‘s Kayakoy is located in the sun-soaked hills, with around 400 houses, two churches and multiple chapels that remain frozen in time.

Tourists love to visit the abandoned town[/caption] a map showing the location of eerie ghost town

Visitors have been drawn to the abandoned town due to its stunning crumbling buildings that are being taken over by lush greenery.

Incredible footage shows the desolate landscape of brick houses with missing windows, roofs and doors.

The stacks of infrastructure on the hillside look identical to one another, but some look to have crumbled faster.

In one clip an eerie, decrepit building looks to have an incredibly grand, tiled entrance to the massive site with over 10 windows covering just one of its sides.

Others show how massive chunks of walls have fallen clean off and smashed along the paths.

There are also remnants of old churches that used to stand, with the cross encrusted on some walls.

Down the narrow cobbled roads, tourists are able to explore what life may have been like for Kayakoy locals, with schools and shops still recognisable.

Over 100 years ago, Kayakoy was a busy town home to at least 10,000 Greek Orthodox Christians who lived alongside the region’s Muslim Turkish farmers.

By the 19th century it had been established as a cultural hub with incredible architecture that blended Green and Anatolian styles.

But as Turkey emerged to an independent republic, upheaval began, leading to the town’s tragic downfall.

Rising tensions with neighbouring Greece after the Greco-Turkish war that ended in 1922 led to both countries wanting to clean their citizens of any ties to one another.

This was otherwise known as the Population Exchange of 1923, which devastated those in Kayakoy.

The war led to the Treaty of Lausanne that, under the treaty’s terms, led to around 1.5 million Greek Orthodox Christians being expelled from Turkey to Greece.

And around 500,000 Muslims were relocated from Greece to Turkey.

Populations in Kayakoy, where communities mixed harmoniously, were forced to leave behind their lives in the town to resettle in unfamiliar areas of Greece.

The Muslim community, who were expected to resettle in Kayakoy, found the terrain and climate impossible to live and moved elsewhere – leaving it to rot.

In recent years there’s talks of parts of the town being restored – potentially leading to re-population or a cultural heritage site.

Either way, the town has recently had a new lease of life as tourists enjoy visiting to explore the abandoned landscape after officially being declared a protected area in 1988.
