THE Crown star Vanessa Kirby is engaged to her hunky lacrosse star boyfriend, according to reports.

Vanessa, 36, rose to international prominence with her portrayal of Princess Margaret in the Netflix drama series The Crown has been dating retired lacrosse star Paul Rabil for two years.

An insider told US outlet Page Six that the blonde beauty, who has also starred in movies like Napoleon and Eden, and Paul, 39, have taken the next step with their relationship.

The couple first sparked dating rumours when they were photographed holding hands on a walk around New York City in 2022.

And it took a whole 13 months for Vanessa and Paul to go Instagram official and confirm their romance to the world.

In November 2023, Paul posted cute pics and a heartfelt message, confirming his romance with the star from The Crown.

In his caption, Paul gushed: “From the very minute we first met in Des Moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you.”

Just 20 weeks ago, one person commented on the post and said: “Put a ring on it.”

And 51 weeks ago someone else said: “Looooooove the fact that you’re together.”

WHO IS PAUL RABIL?

Paul is an American sports executive and retired professional lacrosse player.

He is currently the president of the Premier Lacrosse League, which he co-founded with his brother, league CEO Mike Rabil.

The sports star was previously married to former lacrosse player Kelly Berger.

The pair got married in 2014 but split in 2017.

Vanessa was previously romantically linked to Hollywood actor Callum Turner.

In 2020, the pair split after four years together.

Representatives for the actress, who won a Bafta for her role as a young Princess Margaret in the Netflix series, confirmed that the pair have separated.

A FAMILY of seven have revealed that they are now mortgage free, after moving in to a converted shed.

Mum-of-five Sarah, and her bumper brood decided six years ago that they wanted to sell their suburban house and move to the country.

However, they didn’t want to be lumbered with a mortgage, so bought two sheds, connected them together and turned them into a home.

“We’re now living the dream life in the country,” she said, in a vide posted to her YouTube channel Tiny Shed Life.

The family’s home consists of one shed which Sarah and her husband sleep in and another shed which the five kids sleep in.

The two sheds are connected together by a room built by Sarah which they use to store shoes and coats.

Sarah’s family heat their shed with a wood-fired stove, which even her kids know how to use.

“It’s just really nice to have if you’re trying to cut bills, as this is free,” she said.

All five of Sarah’s kids sleep in one room, with three of them on a three-tiered bunk bed and the other two on a two-tier bunk bed.

“It works fantastically, everything fits,” she said.

She added that although her kids don’t have much personal space in their bedroom, they live on 35 acres of land, so can go outside if they need privacy.

The kids are also all homeschooled in the shed, with Sarah sectioning off one section of the shed for schoolwork.

Living in a converted shed is a great way to save cash for a house, whilst still having your independence.

As the cost of living crisis continues to bite, more and more adults are struggling to get on the property ladder and are choosing to live in their family home for longer.

The 2021 census revealed that over half of people aged 23 and under still live with their parents.

The average price of a house in the UK was £285,000 as of March 2023, and this rises to a whopping £735,254, which is completely unaffordable for many.

Moreover, research from the Resolution Foundation found that the average first time buyer deposit tripled from 5 per cent of the property price in 1989 to 15 per cent in 2019.

This means that buyers have to save for far longer and use up a larger percentage of their earnings to get on the property ladder.

Recent research by property site Zoopla found that 42 per cent of adults under 40 who do not already own homes have given up, due to the astronomical cost of buying a property.

This included 38 per cent of people earning over £60,000 (almost double the average salary for the UK).

Usyk started on top before showboating Fury won the middle rounds and appeared to be well on top.

However, a brutal ninth-round volley saw Usyk badly rock Fury and swing momentum back his way by forcing a standing eight count.

With four major world titles up for grabs, both men gave it their all in one of the best fights in memory.

It went to the judges with the fight ending in a controversial split decision going in the Ukrainian’s favour – 115-112, 114-15, 114-113.

Now, seven months later, they brace to do it all over again back in Riyadh, and Fury has weighed in at a career heaviest.

But the IBF belt will not be at stake this time as Usyk was forced to vacate it to proceed with the contracted re-run.

While Usyk tipped the scales at 226lbs, that’s only slightly heavier than the 223.5lbs last time out.

However just like Fury, Usyk weighed in fully clothed.

There was only a very brief stare off, nothing like the ELEVEN-minute showdown from the night before at the press conference.

Will all heavyweight titles be on the line in the rematch?

This time round, however, it will NOT be an undisputed heavyweight title fight.

This is because Usyk vacated the IBF title following his win so the mandatories for the belt could get their shot.

Daniel Dubois was upgraded to the IBF heavyweight champion, and has since defended it in dominant fashion – knocking out Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in front of a British record 96,000 crowd.

So it is only Usyk’s WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight titles up for grabs.

Stars including the sitcom’s creators James Corden (Smithy) and Ruth Jones (Nessa) will be taking to the airwaves on Monday from 6.30am, along with Mat Horne (Gavin) and Joanna Page (Stacey).

They will be joined by Larry Lamb (Mick) and Alison Steadman (Pamela), along with Rob Brydon (Uncle Bryn) and Robert Wilfort (Jason).

The takeover will come just days after Zoe said a tearful final farewell to Radio 2 listeners after quitting the Breakfast Show.

She bowed out on Friday morning (December 20) and gave a five minute monologue while saying goodbye.

Zoe paid homage to her two children, colleagues and a special mention was given to her good friend and fellow radio star Jo Whiley.

She said: “A special shoutout to my friend Jo. Her show is my favourite on air. She has been such a friend to me in so many ways.

“Jo, keep championing great music. You are one beautiful lady, friend and mama. You are my hero.”

Zoe, who has hosted the show for six years, also credited the entire Breakfast Show team, saying “they held me up, quite literally, when I was at my lowest”.

She quit the top BBC job last month to “focus on family” following the death of her mum.

Zoe will now take an extended break but told listeners she will return in the Spring for “new adventures”.

Scott Mills has been announced as Zoe’s replacement in the new year, but it will be the cast of Gavin and Stacey taking over her seat on Monday morning.

The Gavin & Stacey Takeover will come just two days before the smash hit sitcom returns to the BBC for one final and extended festive episode.

Former undisupted king Usyk soon followed, weighing in at just over 16 stone (226lbs).

Fury, 36, weighed 18 stone, seven pounds (262 lb) for his first meeting with the slick southpaw.

Footage shows the drone flying around the two men who are standing in a field of dead sunflowers covered in snow.

The craft comes down low over the top of one of the men and flies directly at the second man.

The North Korean then opens fire at the drone coming at him.

But, he misses instead shooting his pal dead.

As the drone flies off into the sky again the soldier’s body can be seen lying in the snow with his rifle next to him.

The footage was captured in Kursk, Russia, where Ukraine invaded in August in a surprise revenge move.

Russia has spent months trying to get the land back, but has so far been unable to.

Vladimir Putin has now called in pal Kim Jong-un to provide thousands of soldiers to help.

Footage is now emerging of North Koreans fighting – as Russia throws them into the meat grinder.

Another clip showed the soldiers forced to jog through a snowy no-mans-land while Ukrainian troops pick them out one by one.

Dressed in Russian army fatigues, they make no effort to find cover and instead cross the icy field in clear view of Ukrainian drones.

Some crouch on the ground while others jog almost carelessly up and down the frontline in the drone video.

Other drone videos released by Ukraine’s military claimed to show North Korean fighters on the front line and the bodies of slain Russian and Korean soldiers stacked together.

One clip reportedly shows the bodies of dozens of dead Korean soldiers laid out by Putin’s forces after another major clash in the Kursk region.

Meanwhile Ukrainian premier Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that Russians are burning the faces off of dead North Korean soldiers so they remain unidentifiable.

South Korean spies revealed at least 100 of Kim’s men were mowed down this week, and another 1000 were injured – a significant chunk of the 11,000 initially dispatched.

It is not clear how many more fighters Kim intends to send, but South Korean intelligence (NIS) reported he will personally inspect their training after the first troop wave was caught lacking.

The NIS attributes the high casualty rate to the fact that the North Koreans are fighting in “unfamiliar battlefields”.

They have very little experience of drone warfare, a key tactic of Ukraine, and so are being “consumed” like “canon fodder”.

The spy agency added that the Russian military had complained their North Korean comrades were a “burden” due to their “ignorance” of drones.

Video released earlier this week by the Ukrainian military shows drones decked out with Christmas toys including, reindeer and a Santa Clause, hunting down North Korean troops and picking them off with apparent ease.

A senior US military official said the DPRK troop’s injuries “would include everything from […] light wounds up to being KIA [killed in action],” and affect troops from lower-levels to “very near the top”.

He added: “These are not battle-hardened troops.”

It comes following controversy over the car manufacturer’s new Type 00 model which was branded woke.

But the vintage Jaguar E-type motor has been dubbed the prettiest car in the world by Enzo Ferrari.

It had orange paintwork originally but due to corrosion and rust, it was stripped right back.

A spokesperson said: “The subject of the restoration and upgrade works, a 1961 left-hand drive model, was first delivered new to Puerto Rico.

“After many years overseas, the car returned to the UK, being bought by the current owner as the basis for creating his ultimate open-top E-type.

“He tasked E-Type UK – recognized marque experts and specialists in custom Jaguar builds – with further refining the car’s elegant 1960s bodywork to create something more purposeful, with elevated modern performance to match.

“The customer – who intends to use the car exclusively in warmer climates – instructed the team to remove the soft top entirely, to create a true E-type speedster.”

They added: “E-Type UK’s expert team have since lavished over 3,500 hours on the car, focusing on every detail down to the very last bolt.

“As with all the firm’s restoration projects, the process began with a full strip-down of the shell, and removing all components.

“The team then undertook a comprehensive assessment of the body panels to ensure structural integrity.

“Before carefully blasting them to remove half a century of material build-up.

“During the team’s analysis of the car, it was discovered that significant repairs to the shell were needed, with multiple panels badly corroded or rotted from years of exposure to the elements.

“E-Type UK seized this opportunity to further refine the bodywork and enhance that iconic 1960s design, with a de-seamed bonnet and tailgate, including further rounding of bodywork edges across the car.”
