Corrie legend makes rare Instagram appearance after quitting soap as he reunites with Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor
A CORRIE legend has made a very rare Instagram appearance while reuniting with his former co-stars, and fans are making the same demand.
Coronation Street legend Chris Gascoyne, who played Peter Barlow in the hit soap, reunited with Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor this week.

And now Chris has posed for a snap with Jane and Georgia, who play Leanne and Toyah Battersby, after his performance at the Bradford Alhambra Theatre in the pantomime, Pinocchio, as the evil Stromboli.
Standing in the middle of Jane and Georgia, Chris could be seen beaming as he reunited with his former Corrie co-stars a year after his departure.
Jane could be seen smiling wide while donning some glasses, while Chris beamed also wearing glasses, and Georgia smiled beside her two pals.
The trio all looked happy to be in each other’s company again.
Georiga shared the snap on her Instagram page and penned an accompanying caption which read: “Watching our beloved PB giving his best baddie in Pinocchio.
“Eyeliner and black nail varnish never looked so good on a guy.”
Fellow Corrie star Sally Carmen, who plays Abi Webster in the hit soap, simply penned: “Joyous!”
A fan of the soap then wrote: “The first boyfriend you shared, then Imran the second, and Nick the third lol. Will Leanne fall for Spider someday?”
FANS BEG FOR CHRIS TO RETURN
While a third person said: “Oooh Peter Barlow. Missing my eye candy on corrie.”
“Wonderful to see actors supporting actors,” swooned a fourth.
A fifth person then demanded: “I love this, get Chris back on Corrie.”
“I really miss his character in Corrie, I hope you return at some point,” echoed a sixth.
While a seventh said: “I miss Peter In Corrie need him back.”
And an eighth person wrote: “Can’t wait for his return to Corrie as Peter. ..that will be fun!! Watch out Swain.”

He is the seventh actor to play Ken Barlow’s eldest son.
RETURN NOT RULED OUT
Talking to BBC News at the time of his departure from the cobbles, Chris said: “The thing that upset me though was walking away from the people I work with and I don’t just mean the actors.
“I’ve known all these people for nearly half my life. I’ve grown up with so many people there but I need a rest and to look to do something different, I’m not getting any younger.”
He then added: “Of course, I’ve not ruled a return out, it’s been such a part of my life.”

A GREGGS superfan who has forked out a whopping £1,600 on sausage rolls got a tattoo of the pastry on his arm.
Matthew McCarroll, 31, has scoffed four of the tasty treats every Friday night for the last seven years as a reward for finishing the working week – racking up 1,456.

To pay homage, the council groundsman decided to get a £200 six-inch inking of one – with a halo-like orange glow around it – on his right arm.
The three-hour design was finally finished on December 14 following two visits to the Sun and Moon studio in Glasgow, Scotland, and he quipped he now looks like an “advertising board” for Greggs.
Matthew, of Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, said: “I’ve had Greggs sausage rolls since I was a child.
“I’m not the best eater in the world but I knew I liked sausage rolls so it was something I would fall back on as I got older.
“My routine on a Friday after work is I go straight to Greggs and then go for a nap, it’s brilliant.
“It started seven years ago. My usual order is four sausage rolls, I eat them in one go after my shift.
“The dream is if Greggs sees the tattoo, it would be great to get something that acknowledges I’ve got it, maybe a t-shirt.”
Greggs have not yet offered Matthew any freebies.

Impress your guests this Christmas by coating your own nuts for extra flavour
NOBBLE your nibbles with a hit of spice this Christmas!
It is easy to buy your own nuts and coat them for extra flavour.
Serve as an easy snack that’s sure to impress your guests . . .
NUTTY PROFESSOR: It’s great to experiment with different flavours and nuts to find a mix you love. Use plain unsalted nuts, such as cashews, pecans, peanuts, macadamia, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts and Brazil nuts.
Mix up different spices to get Indian-, Moroccan- or Mexican-style snacks.
For a festive flavour, combine dried ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. Balance savoury spices with a dash of something sweet, such as sugar, honey or maple syrup.
CURRY UP: Combining ground cumin, cinnamon and a dash of cayenne pepper will give you an Indian flavour.
Mix the spices with butter and brown sugar before coating the nuts and baking in the oven for around 20 minutes, giving them a shake now and then. Keep an eye on them as they burn easily.
SWEET AS A NUT: This tasty festive honey-roasted nuts recipe from jamieoliver.com is a cracking treat.
Melt 50g unsalted butter with two tbsps of runny honey for three to four minutes. Place a kilo of nuts on two baking trays (cutting bigger nuts like Brazils into bite-size pieces) and divide the butter and honey mix between the two trays.
Scatter over two tsps of sweet smoked paprika. Toss to coat all the nuts, then cook for 20-30 minutes, or until golden all over, carefully shaking the tray every ten to 15 minutes to make sure they cook evenly.
Season with salt and serve, or put them in jars to give as gifts.
HOT STUFF: For a simple chilli nuts recipe, mix 50g softened butter with 25g sugar and ½ tsp of cayenne pepper.
Put the nuts in a bowl and coat with the buttery mixture, then season with salt.
Roast in the oven at 180C for ten minutes, tossing half-way through.

Lord Chief Justice MUST review Press ban from naming judge who put Sara Sharif in father’s care
Judge dreadful
IT is perhaps the most chilling court ruling we can recall.
The High Court’s Mr Justice Williams hid the identity of another judge who handed Sara Sharif to her abusive father in 2019 because, he said, the media couldn’t be trusted with it.
Sara Sharif was murdered at her home in Woking[/caption]It is the duty of a free Press to question whether that family court ruling ultimately led to the circumstances which ended in the child’s torture and death.
But naming any of those who made it — despite Urfan Sharif’s violent record — could, Williams said, expose them to criticism he would consider unfair.
He even named one journalist he liked and another he didn’t.
This judge’s subjective biases and disdain for the media don’t enter into it.
Is he aware of “free expression”? Press freedom?
Or the peril of the secret justice he and others seem to want?
Open justice is under increasing assault . . . with judges frequently granting anonymity, even to convicted criminals in immigration cases.
Their rulings cannot be above Press scrutiny.
But how can they be held to account if one covers up for another?
This dangerous precedent rightly faces an Appeal Court challenge.
But the Lord Chief Justice should review this pompous fool’s fitness for the job.
Wrong track
BY any measure Labour’s rapid surrender to Aslef has proved an unmitigated disaster.
The then Transport Secretary Louise Haigh, an ex-Unite shop steward later outed as a convicted fraudster, gleefully gave the militants their hearts’ desire.
It was a calamity politically, handing already well-paid train drivers huge sums just as the Government stripped skint OAPs of their winter fuel allowance.
Also economically, since the huge bill fuelled the “black hole” Labour has desperately tried to pin on the Tories.
And Haigh’s replacement Heidi Alexander now admits it has brought chaos to the rail network as drivers shun the lucrative overtime they no longer need.
It should be better next year, though, she says . . . showing yet more worrying naivety about the unions’ desire ever to run a functioning service.
Moron mob
REMEMBER the Left instantly piling into the police over the viral video of the Manchester Airport brawl in July?
They needed no further evidence.
The cops were simply “racist”.
Two nights of protest over “police brutality” ensued.
Even Labour ministers couldn’t resist voicing their “concern”.
The full video then revealed a different story.
Now two brothers involved have been charged — and the police, after five long months, are in the clear.
It is terrifying how a one-sided video clip tempted so many to join a vengeful mob.
Fury as judge prevents Press from naming colleague who put Sara Sharif in evil father’s care
A JUDGE is facing fury for preventing the Press from naming a colleague who put Sara Sharif in her killer father’s care.
Mr Justice Williams barred media outlets from identifying the family court decision maker, claiming some “will not” report it “fairly and accurately”.
Dad Urfan Sharif and stepmum Beinash Batool were jailed for life for Sara Sharif’s horrific abuse and murder[/caption]He argued that, once in the public domain, the information “is available to anyone” and suggested a social media “lynch mob” could make known the judge’s address and movements.
And he said naming individuals would be like “holding the lookout on the Titanic responsible for its sinking”.
Outraged MPs said the ruling was an affront to open justice and set a dangerous precedent.
Tory Sir Alec Shelbrooke said: “Sunlight is the best disinfectant and the full facts of this case must be known, including who made these decisions.”
An appeal by media outlets, including The Sun, on public interest grounds will be heard in January.
The family court repeatedly returned Sara, left, to her family despite Surrey council’s “significant concerns”.
Dad Urfan Sharif, 42, and stepmum Beinash Batool, 30, were last week jailed for life for ten-year-old Sara’s horrific abuse and murder in Woking.

CELEBRITY Gogglebox fans have ripped into Channel 4 just minutes into a ‘new episode’ of the hit show.
Viewers of the star-studded version of the fly on the wall series got settled in for what they thought was a new instalment.
However, just minutes into the episode they realised it was a ‘repeat’ of a previously broadcast episode.
It turned out Celebrity Gogglebox bosses had clipped together the last series’ best bits into a compilation episode.
Seething on social media, one fan wrote: “Really getting f****d off with the TV recently! EVERYTHING seems to be repeats! Got settled to watch Celeb Gogglebox thinking it was a new series, or a Christmas special! Oh how wrong am I! YET AGAIN ANOTHER REPEAT!”
A second fumed: “A Christmas compilation episode on the last Friday before Christmas is very disappointing.”
“Why are you calling this a new episode? It’s not new,” swiped a third.
While a fourth commented: “Where is Gogglebox? Why have Ch4 put on a summer edition with so called Celebrities in it? Not good I’ll watch No Time To Die. Thanks for nothing, Ch4.”
Some of the celebs appearing in the episode included Rylan Clark and his mum Linda, Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani, Clare Balding and Alice Arnold and Stephen Mangan and his sister Anita.
Meanwhile, a civilian fan-favourite has bravely opened up on her Bell’s Palsy diagnosis.
Sue Sheehan’s candidly spoke of her battle with the neurological disorder, which can cause temporary paralysis of the muscles in the side of the face.
Sue opened up on learning to live with the condition, which is, in most cases, temporary.
She said: “I mean I’ve actually learned to do a couple of things since this Bell’s Palsy,” to which her spouse replied: “Have you?”
She continued: “Yeah one is to speak through the side of my mouth
and the other one is chewing, chewing takes a long time.”

Inside Tyson Fury’s family life with wife Paris forever by his side as kids again bear brutal brunt of boxing career
TYSON FURY’S family has once again borne the brutal brunt of his boxing career.
His wife Paris and their seven children live a life of magnificent luxury thanks to the 36-year-old’s fighting skills.
Tyson Fury has given his family, which includes seven kids, an incredible life[/caption] He’s sealed the futures with bruising victories inside the ring[/caption] Wife Paris withheld the new of a tragic misccariage ahead of Tyson’s showdown with Oleksandr Usyk[/caption]But back in May — just days before his original clash with Oleksandr Usyk — all that was suddenly irrelevant when they lost their son six months into pregnancy.
When brave Paris could not fly in for her man’s Saudi megafight, he knew tragedy had struck.
But she withheld the news from the emotionally vulnerable 6ft 9in star until he was home.
Fury refused to use the awful loss as an excuse for his split-decision defeat to the Ukrainian.
And as soon as the summer was over, he flew out to Malta for a 12-week camp where he trained like a brute and supposedly cut off all contact from his family.
When Paris and eldest son Prince arrived in Riyadh and took their places in the second row at Thursday’s press conference, Fury ignored his childhood sweetheart.
There was no gushing reunion kiss or cuddle, there was barely even any eye contact.
When asked how it felt leaving his brood behind after such a traumatic experience, Fury replied: “Difficult.

“It’s difficult timing but, you know, life is difficult and this fight is even harder.
“So I have got to give myself the best opportunity that I can to get the victory.
“I won’t see Paris before the fight, not until after the fight.
“I’m fully focused and I don’t want my mind changing or taking off from where I am in fight mode and going into husband mode and all of that.
“In all my career of 36 fights, she’s only missed three of them.
“The first was when she was having our first child, Venezuela, on the same night as I boxed in Dublin years ago.
“Then there was another at The O2. And the other one was the last Usyk fight.
“This time, she’s coming but I won’t be seeing her, not until after the fight.”
It feels like a Spartan siege mentality we have never seen the likes of before — and all, apparently, to keep the Morecambe roof over their heads and Christmas presents under this year’s tree.
With the £300million the Gypsy King has banked from boxing alone — before you factor in his Netflix, book and sponsorship deals — his claims that back-to-back defeats to Usyk, 37, could lead to an eviction notice are fanciful.
But there’s a danger that — after decades of bravado — Fury could be left emotionally bankrupt by another loss, with the kids having to cope with the impact of that.
Fury said: “The kids are used to Daddy going away.
“Daddy’s got to do his job and pay the bills.
“And if Daddy doesn’t do that, then the house gets repossessed, unfortunately.
“If you don’t pay your bills, no matter how rich you are, you get repossessed, don’t you?”
While Fury is worried about the mortgage, there is a risk Usyk has been living in his head rent-free.
Trainer Andy Lee told SunSport that he won’t know the psychological damage the Usyk defeat has taken on his charge until the first bell.
Fury could have had his soul snatched and be a broken fighter by the manner of that first schooling.
On the other hand, he might be re-energised, laser-focused and harnessing the challenger mindset every fighter thrives on.
Even Fury himself does not seem to really know the answer.
He said: “Sometimes you think about the fight — it would be a lie to say you don’t.
“I don’t really feel nervous but . . . it’s not nerves for the fight.
“Because obviously I’ve had a lot of fights, I’m not bothered about anybody.
“But you feel like you’re nervous whether you’re going to perform to your best ability or not. Does that make sense?
“It’s not like a pressure of, ‘Oh, I’ve got to go for a fight now’. It’s something I’ve always done, amateur and professional.
“But you feel like, ‘I need to be the best I can be.’
“Hopefully you’re going to be good, do you know what I mean?”
“A lot of people, when they come to training camp, everybody thinks the job’s done.
“But fight week is the most important time of your training because during camp you can make a mistake.
“You can have a late night, you cannot sleep one night, whatever. And it’s fine.
“But make those mistakes in fight week — you go around too many people and catch a cold.
Tyson Fury suffered a split decision defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in their first meeting in May[/caption] The Gypsy King has vowed to exact revenge on the slick southpaw on Saturday night[/caption]“You get an illness, whatever, even on the day before — and it can all be finished.”
Fury’s overbearing dad John — who headbutted a member of Team Usyk in the build-up to May’s clash and confused his son’s in-fight breaks with uneducated instructions — has been exiled from the corner.
But the Gypsy King has taken clearer orders this time from an arguably more mature family member.
Legends of the boxing world have expressed their offerings on the best approach to the fight.
But a tiny little terror — named after an ancient Greek icon more famous for love than war — has provided the most ruthless guidance.
Fury explained: “My Adonis, that’s my second-youngest son, he wants me to smash Usyk’s face right in.
“He’s only five. He wants me to severely smash it in.”
Tyson-Fury’s son, Adonis, wants him to “severely smash” Oleksandr Usyk in their second Saudi showdown Usyk[/caption]
