Kate Middleton regretted her Christmas outfit for a very relatable reason & told fan ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this’

EVERYONE has that one outfit they regret wearing – and this reassuringly includes the flawless Princess of Wales.

Princess Kate, 42, always looks impeccably dressed during public occasions, but she admitted that there was one Christmas Day ensemble she wishes she hadn’t worn.

In 2019, the royal mum-of-three was seen walking to church on the Sandringham Estate in a chic grey Catherine Walker coat.

The Princess of Wales finished off the look with a stylish matching hat, a clutch and forest green heels.

Kate looked unquestionably elegant, and her main issue wasn’t with the look of the outfit but more with the practicality.

According to The Mirror, Christmas Day that year was “unseasonably warm”, and Kate started to feel uncomfortable in her coat.

Royal fan Rachel Anvil, who was among the crowds waiting for the royals, was told by Princess Kate that she had outfit regret, claims Metro.

Rachel’s mum Karen said: “Kate was talking to my daughter about clothes and how she was feeling too hot, she said ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this.

“I’m there talking to Charlotte about dolls and my daughter’s talking about fashion with Kate. “

“It wasn’t fake it was a genuine discussion, it was about a minute but it was tailored to my daughter, it was like speaking to a friend.”

Style icon Kate

Fashion expert Amber Graafland told Fabulous: “There’s no disputing that the Princess of Wales has established herself as a global style icon.

“Fashion choices aside, during her years in the royal spotlight, she’s learned to echo the same tactics the late Queen adopted.

“From choosing block colours that ensure she stands out at public engagements, to wearing a national colour to show respect for a host country or opting for symbolic jewels to honour late loved ones, she’s mastered the art of sartorial symbolism.

“The Princess uses her clothing to send coded messages and often weaves hidden tributes and powerful symbols into her dressing. “

Who is Princess Kate's stylist?

PRINCESS Kate is particularly close to her senior private executive assistant Natasha Archer, who has worked with her since 2007.

Natasha has worked as Kate’s PA and stylist, and has been a “pillar of strength” for the royal as she undergoes preventative cancer treatment.

Earlier this year, Natasha was one of the few people seen leaving the London Clinic, where Kate was staying following her abdominal operation in January.

Kate’s comeback

The Princess of Wales beamed earlier this month as she held her star-studded Christmas celebrations at Westminster Abbey, in the most poignant carol service yet amid her cancer diagnosis.

The Princess said at last year’s carol service she “didn’t know” what 2024 had in store for her, as she spoke to singer Paloma Faith.

The artist, who performed during the festivities, expressed sympathy for the princess, who this year underwent chemotherapy.

Kate confessed: “I didn’t know this time last year it was going to be the year I’ve just had.”

The princess, who married Prince William in 2011 and attended the late Queen’s funeral in 2022 at the abbey, also told how the building held “so many memories” for her.

The royal was admitted to The London Clinic for major abdominal surgery in January this year, before bravely announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.

She has only been to a handful of public events throughout her recovery, including Trooping the Colour, the Men’s Wimbledon final, and the Remembrance Sunday Cenotaph service.

In September Kate released another touching video message in which she shared she had finished chemotherapy and is focusing on being “cancer free”.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, and their three kids, are expected to spend Christmas Day at Sandringham with the royal family as usual this year.

Fans were quick to react to his gran’s blank expression as Lil Pump crooned to her[/caption]

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Lil Pump rose to prominence in 2017 when his single Gucci Gang was released.

And now the rapper has risen to prominence online once again amid a rather bizarre moment.

The strange moment saw Lil Pump serenading his gran with his shirt off on her 90th birthday.

“SONG SANG GUCCI FOR MY FAVORITE GRANDMA happy 90th birthday @grandmapump90. Happy birthday to my dad Fabio te amo,” he penned on Instagram, showing his followers the sweet yet strange moment.

In the video, Lil Pump could be seen with his shirt off as he crooned his well-known hit to his gran who was sitting at a table.

Lil Pump bent down to his gran while holding a microphone before getting up on a chair that was beside her.

Standing on the chair, Lil Pump danced around while singing before crouching down and serenading his gran.

The rapper’s gran didn’t look at her grandson, but instead stared blankly into the space in front of her.

At one point, the gran and grandson got up and started to dance, with the 90-year-old smiling sweetly as she danced with the rapper.

FANS REACT TO LIL PUMP’S VIRAL VIDEO

“She looks like she hates it,” penned one person underneath the clip.

Someone else said: “She looks like she’d want to be anywhere else just not here.”

“She is so disappointed it’s not Drake,” joked a third.

A fourth person then said: “It’s funny cuz she did know the lyrics tho lol.”

“She doesn’t look a dat above 70 damn,” complimented another.

A fifth person then sweetly wrote: “Look how gentle and respectful he is towards his grandma while performing, even hyped her up at the part when he mentioned her.

“The same guy that would usually flip that table over and act a straight fool. Y’all clearly don’t get it.”

While a sixth said: “That’s a proud grandma.”

‘THIS IS REALLY CRINGE’

Meanwhile, on X, a pop culture account shared the video, with it gaining a substantial amount of traction online.

“Grandma was in fact not feeling it,” penned one.

“This is really cringe,” slammed a second.

A third person then said: “That’s awkward is it not?”

While a fourth wrote: “This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Driver blasts $357 bill for new key fob – then learns she could’ve paid just $50 by going to hardware store

A DRIVER has been left fuming after being hit with a $357 bill for a new key fob.

The disgruntled motorist hit out at a raft of extra charges that had been added to her price, seemingly unnecessarily.

Kay, who goes by the name theekaybee_ online, took to TikTok to share her experience.

She claimed that she had gone to a local car dealership to get her key fob reprogrammed.

Kay insisted that the fob work was the only service she had requested, with no maintenance needed on the car itself.

According to the travel influencer, the initial quote for the small job was $109 plus taxes.

She said she felt this was reasonable but got a call back three hours later with a massive price increase to $350.

Speaking on her TikTok channel she exclaimed: “So I go into the car dealership today to get a key fob—only thing I needed was a key fob.

“[It costs $350] For y’all to program a key?

“I said, ‘No, ma’am, no, ma’am.’

“You gonna have to go talk to whoever I talked to on the phone last week because they told me 109 plus tax.”

Kay claimed that the dealership staff then came back to her with a revised quote for $150.

But they then allegedly tried to add an extra charge onto this for labor costs.

One commenter on the video suggested that this was particular bizarre as “there’s no labor in programming a key fob, the machine does it.”

Kay added: “Maybe I’m the only one to go to the dealership, but I’m gonna find me somewhere else to go now because that dealership stuff.”

However, it turns out that there is a much cheaper and easier option she could have taken.

Since it is not a specialist job that only a dealership can do, plenty of hardware stores offer key programming services.

Prices vary based on the make and model of the vehicle but can go as low as $50.

That’s less than half the price of the original quote Kay received from the dealership.

You can even programme the fob yourself, with plenty of instructional videos available on YouTube.

It comes after drivers were warned against fixing their own cars due to a fire risk.

The warning came in response to a blaze in a suburban garage, which cops said was sparked by a common maintenance mistake.

NFL announces major broadcasting change to Week 17 schedule just days before game which has huge playoff implications

In a last-minute decision, the Dallas CowboysPhiladelphia Eagles game has been moved from the 4:25pm ET national window slot.

Instead, the Minnesota Vikings take the slot for their match against the Green Bay Pakcers[/caption]

It has now been scheduled for the 1pm ET window.

The NFL has moved the game in favour of a different fixture.

Instead, the meeting between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings will take the early evening slot.

The Packers-Vikings game was originally due to take place at lunchtime.

But it has been moved because the game is considered to be more exciting and appealing.

The Cowboys were eliminated from playoff contention last week despite a 26-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Meanwhile, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is an uncertainty for the match due to injury.

In contrast, the Packers and Vikings still have some high stakes to play for.

The meeting is set to be a high-profile NFC North contest.

The Vikings are still in the hunt for the No1 seed in the NFC.

If they are able to keep pace with the Detroit Lions this weekend, a final week showdown will determine who secures the first round bye.

Boxer Devin Haney’s baby mama Leena Sayed breaks silence after jail call with Young Thug goes viral & sparks confusion

A MODEL has broken her silence after a leaked call that showed her breaking down while speaking to the then-jailed rapper Young Thug went viral.

The video showed Leena Sayed, an Instagram influencer, becoming emotional at points during the call, which lasted around 15 minutes.

Sayed said the clip was dated before she met Haney
Instagram

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, spent more than 900 days behind bars after being booked into jail in May 2022 on RICO and gun charge allegations.

Footage obtained by Law & Crime showed the pair speaking in July 2022 – around three months after Young Thug was booked into jail.

One moment in the call captured viewers’ attention.

“I obviously want you to be out of jail and out here with me,” Sayed said.

“Do you get what I mean?”

Sayed was heard sobbing on the call and heard telling Young Thug that she doesn’t like anyone and that she “wants” him.

Young Thug has been with his partner, songwriter Mariah the Scientist, since 2021, and the clip seemed to leave viewers with questions.

But both the rapper and Sayed have since spoken out.

In an Instagram Stories post, Sayed said: “That video was before I met my bd… I would never talk to Thug or any other man.”

And Young Thug has spoken out and rubbished any speculation.

He confirmed that he and Sayed were just friends.

“Man, me and twin was talking bout some whole other serious s**t,” he posted on X.

“That’s my twin and nothing else.”

Sayed and the boxer Devin Haney reportedly got married in 2023.

She rarely posts snaps of family life on her social media, but images from September revealed she was pregnant.

In October this year, Young Thug pled no contest to RICO charges but pleaded guilty to two gun charges and drug-related offenses.

He was sentenced to time served and 15 years of probation.

Young Thug was one of 28 people named in an indictment, accused of violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

He was named as one of the founders of the street gang group Young Slime Life.

During the trial, prosecutors noted how the rapper’s music had contained references to violence.

Prosecutors wanted Young Thug to be sentenced to 45 years – with 25 of those being behind bars.

But, his attorney, Brian Steel, wanted a 45-year sentence with five in prison commuted to time served.

RAPPER RELEASED

The remaining 40 years would be on probation.

Young Thug pled guilty to a gang charge, three drug charges, and two gun charges.

He was released from jail, and Mariah the Scientist, said she was grateful.

“We are so grateful, this is the greatest opportunity we’ve ever been presented with,” she told reporters after the verdict.

“I cannot say it enough, I cannot repay you for this. You have changed our lives, Jeffery’s life and mine.”

Young Thug was banned from the metropolitan Atlanta area for the first 10 years of his probation.

And he has been banned from speaking with gang members and co-defendants.

The secret dangers lurking in your Christmas dinner – from overcooked turkey to reheating leftovers

AS YOU pass round heaped and steaming plates of turkey, spuds and stuffing, it can be hard to imagine that your Christmas dinner poses any risk.

But Christmas cooks are being warned to be extra careful this festive season – as dangers on the plate and in the kitchen could pose a serious hazard to both you and your family.

One in 20 people end up in A&E over Christmas, research shows

Two in five Brits have suffered from a Christmas calamity in their lifetime, according to medical experts from King Edward VII’s Hospital.

One in 20 people end up in A&E over Christmas, research shows.

Of those, five per cent have an accident when lifting the turkey into the oven, 7.5 per cent need stitches after slicing themselves while chopping vegetables, and six per cent suffer serious burns after spilling hot cooking fat.

There is also a high risk of other dangers, including an undercooked turkey, or a turkey which hasn’t been defrosted properly, choking on small food items such as sprouts, and incorrectly storing and reheating leftovers.

Add alcohol to the mix and your Christmas dinner could spell disaster. if you’re not careful.

From food poisoning to scalding burns, experts tell Sun Health how to avoid festive accidents and what to do if one occurs.

1. Food poisoning

Undercooking and overcooking turkey can be dangerous, experts warn[/caption]

Turkey is a white meat which, like chicken, needs to be cooked perfectly to avoid food poisoning.

But overcook this bird and it can be very dry, which in turn makes it a choking hazard.

“One of the largest health concerns over this period is how families prepare their turkeys,” explains Dean Harper, founder at Harper Fine Dining.

“Undercooked turkey can risk infection from several foodborne bacteria, such as Salmonella and Campylobacter.

“This will often result in symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, and even diarrhoea, which can lead to further complications due to dehydration.”

The answer, Dean explains, is to get a decent cooking thermometer to rule out any chances of dishing up undercooked meat.

“Meat thermometers allow you to check the internal temperature of different parts of the meat – for example, the white meat and the dark meat of turkey will require different cooking temperatures,” he says.

“The breast should reach 75C, while the thighs and drumsticks should reach least 80C.

“Having a working meat thermometer is a fantastic way of avoiding the risks of food-borne bacteria.

“Additionally, they can help stop you from burning your turkey.

“If you’ve bought a frozen turkey, make sure it remains frozen until the final run down to Christmas Day,” adds Stephanie Hughes, brand manager at Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd.

“Begin the defrosting process by moving it to the fridge.

“You should allow approximately eight hours per kg to defrost in the fridge.

“Aim to have your bird defrosted by December 23, to ensure that when you begin cooking, there are no frozen parts that have not yet defrosted.

“If you’re defrosting at room temperature, allow three hours per kg, and ensure that you work backwards from Christmas Day to ensure it’s fully defrosted.”

2. Choking

Brussel sprouts and pigs in blankets are a choking hazard[/caption]

Food items like sprouts and pigs in blankets are the exact size to cause choking.

And nothing will ruin your Christmas dinner more than Aunt Mildred coughing up her sprouts.

“Choking at mealtimes is always a hazard but can be especially problematic over the Christmas period,” explains Dr Deborah Lee of Dr Fox Online Pharmacy.

“Eating too fast, not chewing the food properly or eating with badly fitting dentures are all underlying causes.

“Turkey can be very dry and hard to swallow, especially in older people with a lack of saliva.

“Alcohol can also dampen the gag reflex.”

One thing we can all do with our Christmas dinners is to prepare our veg in smaller bites.

But if someone does choke, arm yourself with the knowledge of what to do.

“An adult who starts to choke is likely to be panicking and frantically grabbing at their neck, going red in the face and then blue around the lips, salivating and trying to cough,” explains Dr Lee.

“After a few minutes, they may pass out unconscious.”

Sit the person forwards and using the heels of your hands between the shoulder blades, give a hard thump, to try and dislodge the lump of food.

“Give five back blows in total,” adds Dr Lee.

“If this has not at least partially dislodged the food, move on to abdominal thrusts – known as the Heimlich manoeuvre.

“To do this, stand behind the person and put your arms around their chest/abdomen.

“Make a fist with one hand and clasp the other hand over it.

“Place the two hands just below the rib cage, about two inches above the belly button, and squeeze inwards and upwards forcefully, five times.

“If they are still choking phone 999.”

What to do if someone is choking

Mild choking

If the airway is only partly blocked, the person will usually be able to speak, cry, cough or breathe, and may be able to clear the blockage themselves.

In adults:

  • Encourage them to keep coughing
  • Ask them to try to spit out the object
  • Don’t put your fingers in their mouth
  • If coughing doesn’t work, start back blows

In children:

  • If you can see the object, try to remove it (but don’t poke blindly)
  • Encouraging coughing
  • Shout for help if coughing isn’t effective or the child is silent
  • Use back blows if the child is still conscious but not coughing

Severe choking

In adults:

Where choking is severe, the person won’t be able to speak, cry, cough or breathe.

Without help, they’ll eventually become unconscious, so you should carry out back blows.

In children:

Back blows can be carried out on children under one year.

If this doesn’t work, chest thrusts can be started on kids up to 12 months old, and abdominal thrusts on those over one year.

Call 999 if the blockage doesn’t come out after trying back blows and either chest or abdominal thrusts.

Keep trying this cycle until help arrives.

Even if the object has come out, get medical help. Part of the object might have been left behind, or the patient might have been hurt by the procedure.

3. Staying safe with knives

One in five of us have cut ourselves in the kitchen when preparing Christmas food[/caption]

According to the National Accident Helpline, around one in five of us have cut ourselves in the kitchen when preparing Christmas food.

“If the cut is severe, or blood is squirting out so you may have cut an artery, phone 999 immediately,” warns Dr Lee.

“Take a clean dry cloth and press hard on the bleeding area.

“If you have cut off a finger or part of a finger, wrap the cut piece of finger in a damp cloth, put it in a clean plastic bag, pack it with ice and take it to A&E straight away.”

However, if the cut is not as bad as this, just make sure to wash it well and apply pressure for several minutes.

Also try holding the cut up high to help clot the bleed.

4. Avoiding burns

Avoid burns by using gloves and standing back from ovens when opening[/caption]

One in 10 of us have burnt or scalded ourselves with hot fat when cooking Christmas dinner.

And anyone who’s had a burn in the kitchen knows how much it can hurt.

The best way to stay safe is to stand back from ovens when opening the doors, to always use oven gloves, and to make sure there is a fire extinguisher to hand.

If you do end up scalding yourself over Christmas, Dr Lee explains that we need to remove or get away from the source of heat immediately.

Take off any jewellery near the affected area and cool the skin by running the area under a lukewarm tap for 20 to 30 minutes.

“Don’t use ice, ice cold water, butter or any greasy creams,” she adds.

“Cover the burn by putting cling film over it, and take paracetamol and/or ibuprofen for pain.”

If it’s a large burn, go to A&E, or if the skin is white or charred.

Burns on the face or hands or that involve the joints or the genital area should also be seen in A&E.

“Burns should be covered with a sterile dressing such as a pad and gauze,” continues Dr Lee.

“Do not be tempted to burst any blisters. Burns are at high risk of becoming secondarily infected so seek medical advice without delay if the wound becomes very red around the outside of it or is producing a pus.”

5. Safely storing leftovers

Hands wrapping a baking tray in plastic wrap.
Getty
Ensure you store leftovers safely to avoid food poisoning[/caption]

Some people find eating the leftovers of a Christmas dinner their favourite part of the whole meal.

However, the risk of contamination and food poisoning increases each time food is cooled and reheated.

“Never put hot food straight in the fridge because the heat will begin to raise the fridge’s internal temperature, creating a thriving environment for bacteria on your leftovers – and affecting the safety of all your other food,” explains Stephanie.

“Instead, transfer leftovers from hot dishes into a new container and leave to cool for between three to four hours maximum.

“Food should be covered and left to cool until it reaches room temperature – about 20C.”

Your turkey and pigs in blankets should be fine in the fridge for up to three days; veggies and potatoes can last slightly longer – up to five days.

However, once you reheat your food, you can’t reheat it again.

“In terms of food safety, the Food Standards Agency recommends that food is only reheated once, so this guidance should be followed wherever possible,” explains Sarah Taylor, food hygiene expert at High Speed Training.

It’s also important to ensure that the core temperature of the food is piping hot for food safety purposes.

“You should only eat the reheated food once it is visibly producing steam,” says Sarah.

“If you have a temperature probe, use this to check that the food is at least 75C.”

“If using a microwave, always pause halfway through reheating to remove and stir your food,” adds Stephanie.

“This is because food is not heated evenly in microwaves and any cold pockets are a breeding ground for bacteria.”

Do I have food poisoning?

Food poisoning is rarely serious and usually gets better within a week.

It’s hard to miss the symptoms, which include:

  • Feeling sick (nausea)
  • Diarrhoea
  • Being sick (vomiting)
  • Stomach cramps
  • A high temperature of 38C or above
  • Feeling generally unwell – such as feeling tired or having aches and chills
  • The symptoms usually start within a few days of eating the food that caused the infection.
  • Sometimes they start after a few hours or not for a few weeks

How to treat food poisoning

You can usually treat yourself or your child at home.

The symptoms usually pass within a week.

The most important thing is to have lots of fluids, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration.

You should also see a doctor if along with other symptoms you have high fever, blood in your stool, or feel dehydrated or unable to keep any food or liquid down.

Make sure you stay off school or work until you have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least 2 days.
