Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk separated by security after neither boxer refused to move for over TEN MINUTES

TYSON FURY and Oleksandr Usyk had to be separated by security as they refused to lose the mental fight.

The pair rematch in Saudi Arabia on Saturday – just seven months after Usyk won their initial classic by split-decision.

Fury began hurling insults at Usyk[/caption]

They came face-to-face for the standard post-press conference stare down – but this one proved to be anything but.

Fury, 37, and Usyk, 36, looked into each others eyes without saying a single word until things got too tense to for comfort.

Efforts were made by members of their teams and even WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman to try and break up the duo.

A media accreditation and even a napkin were dangled in front of them in an attempt to defuse the situation.

Neither worked.

Instead, the stare down went on for over ten minutes as words were exchanged between the heavyweight superstars.

At last, they were finally broken up and both went their separate ways.

Usyk became the heavyweight division’s first four-belt undisputed champion following his points win in May.

But he was forced to vacate the IBF belt to proceed with the rematch as Daniel Dubois, 27, inherited the strap.

Fury put too much showboating down as a reason for coming out second best in the 12-round thriller.

But he insisted there will be no more Mr Nice guy, laughing or joking as he issued a brutal warning to Usyk days out from the bout.

Fury said: “I’m going to dish out a whole lot of pain. I’m going to put this f***er in the hurt locker, for sure.

“I’ve got nothing to say other than there’s going to be a whole load of hurt and pain in this fight, you watch. That’s all I’ve got to say.

“The talking’s been done. The first fight I talked, I joked, all my career. This fight I’m serious. I’m going to do some f***ing damage.”

Inmate Kevin Underwood complains about ‘cruel’ execution date with final breath after killing girl in ‘cannibal fantasy’

A DEATH row inmate used his last words to slam authorities for killing him on his birthday two decades after he brutally murdered and fantasized about eating his 10-year-old neighbor.

Kevin Underwood was executed on Thursday morning after sitting on death row for 18 years for torturing and killing Jamie Rose Bolin in 2006.

Before he died by lethal injection at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary, Underwood reportedly apologized to Bolin’s family for his heinous crimes.

He also said it was “needlessly cruel to my family” to execute him on his 45th birthday, six days before Christmas.

Underwood lured Bolin to his apartment before hitting her head with a cutting board and strangling her to death in his bathtub.

He later told cops he murdered his young neighbor as part of his cannibalistic and sexual fantasies and admitted to wanting to eat the girl, even though he didn’t go through with it.

He also said he tried to have sex with Bolin’s corpse, cops said at the time.

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said justice was finally served for Bolin on Thursday.

“Justice for Jamie finally was served this morning with the execution of the depraved murderer who took her away from her family and loved ones,” Drummond said in a statement.

“I pray that Jamie’s family and all who continue to mourn her loss find a sense of peace after today’s action.”

‘I CAN’T BELIEVE I DID THOSE THINGS’

A week before he was executed, Underwood said he regretted the ghastly murder in his final clemency hearing with the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board.

“I recognize that although I do not want to die…I deserve to for what I did,” the killer said over video on Friday, according to the Oklahoman.

“And if my death could…change what I did, I would gladly die.”

Underwood apologized to Bolin’s family and his own family at the hearing.

“I can’t believe I did those things,” he said.

“The person I was in the weeks leading up to that event is not who I am now.”

Mr. Underwood chose Jamie because he thought that she was small and defenseless and easy prey.”

Aspen LaymanAssistant Attorney General

Assistant Attorney General Aspen Layman rejected Underwood’s team’s claims that he shouldn’t be sentenced to death due to his mental health problems.

“Mr. Underwood chose Jamie because he thought that she was small and defenseless and easy prey,” Layman said.

“And while we, as an enlightened society, can give grace to those struggling with mental illness, we can still expect them to refrain from planning the murder, rape, torture, and cannibalism of 10-year-old little girls.”

HORRIFIC CRIME

Underwood, a 26-year-old grocery store worker at the time of the crimes, murdered Bolin on April 12, 2006.

The neighbor girl came over to play with Underwood’s pet rat after school before he viciously attacked her while she was watching Spongebob Squarepants, Underwood later told cops.

The FBI found the girl’s body nearly decapitated in a tub in Underwood’s bedroom closet two days later.

After cops saw Bolin’s shirt in the tub, Underwood told them, “Go ahead and arrest me.”

“She’s in there. I hit her and chopped her up,” he said.

“I’m going to burn in hell.”

Underwood was declared dead at 10:14 am local time on Thursday.

His last meal request was chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, pinto beans, a hot roll, and a cheeseburger and fries with ketchup, according to the Department of Corrections.

Aaron Rodgers drops major retirement hint after New York Jets disaster as huge doubts mount over 2025 season

NEW York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed a clue about his future in the NFL.

The 41-year-old Rodgers‘ latest retirement clue comes as the Jets’ disappointing season is nearing its end.

Rodgers leaves the field after the Jets’ win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15[/caption]

On Wednesday, Rodgers spoke to reporters and shared that he will reevaluate whether he’ll continue his career or not at the end of the season.

“I’m going to take some time after the year. Unless I get released right away,” the 20-year NFL veteran said.

“But I will still take some time [to decide] whether or not I’m gonna play.

“I will take some time to get away from it either way.”

Rodgers has completed 305 of 488 passes this season for 3,255 yards and 23 touchdowns.

He has thrown eight interceptions and been sacked 32 times.

Last month, Rodgers opened up on retirement speculations after being asked if he planned to return to Gang Green next campaign.

“I think so, yeah,” Rodgers said on November 13 when asked about his plans to return in 2025.

His mid-November response mirrored his feelings last season when he said that he hoped to play “two or three or four more years.”

“I’m not playing as well as I would’ve liked to play for sure,” he added. “The beauty in this game is it’s a team game.

“The frustrating part is that you’re a great competitor, you hold yourself to a standard that’s not unrealistic, and I haven’t reacted that standard this year.”

Fast forward to this week and Rodgers’ opinion about hanging up his cleats appears to have changed since.

His latest comments come after the four-time NFL MVP went 16-of-30 for 289 yards and three touchdowns in the Jets’ Week 15 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Rodgers is under contract for 2025, but the Jets would have to exercise a $35 million option bonus to bring him back next year.

NFL important dates

August 1 - Hall of Fame Game - Houston Texans vs Chicago Bears

August 8 – Pre-season begins

August 27 – Deadline for 53-man rosters

September 1 – Final day of pre-season

September 5 – Season opener – Baltimore Ravens vs Kansas City Chiefs

November 5 – Trade deadline

January 5 – Week 18 of regular-season

January 11 – Playoffs begin

February 9 – Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana

He also has a $2.5 million base salary which gives him a cap charge of $23.5 million.

The former Green Bay Packers franchise icon joined New York last year but missed after suffering an Achilles tear in the first quarter of the season-opening game.

Rodgers has played in all 14 of the Jets’ contests.

The Jets have a 4-10 record and are third in the AFC East.

They have three games left of the dismal campaign which has seen Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas fired.

The Jets will host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
