Adams requested and was granted his release by the Titans on Thursday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Tennessee later announced Adams’ release.

He played just three games for the team in 2024.

Adams recorded just four total tackles in 20 defensive snaps in his first season with the Titans.

His frustrations reached new heights after playing just one snap against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4.

Last Saturday, Tennessee had placed Adams on the non-football injury list.

They then released him on his birthday.

Adams saw limited time and was released by a 1-4 Titans team that is among the NFL‘s worst.

Tennesee signed Adams to a one-year deal in July after he was released by the Seattle Seahawks.

The LSU product began his career with the New York Jets, earning two Pro Bowls and one All-Pro selection in his three years with the franchise.

In 2020, the Jets traded Adams to the Seattle Seahawks for a package that included two first-round picks.

He received a Pro Bowl nod in his first season with Seattle.

The following year, the former first-round pick signed a four-year, $72 million contract with $38 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid safety at the time.

However, Adams regressed in his final two campaigns with the Seahawks, playing just 10 total games combined in 2022 and 2023.

He told ESPN on Thursday that he wasn’t upset about not being a start but just wants to contribute to a team.

Adams also told ESPN that he’s healthy and ready to sign with a team.

He had missed the season opener against the Chicago Bears due to a hip injury.

Adams sat out Week 6 due to an ailing hip.
