TMZ reported that Henderson died after a battle with pneumonia.

The report added Henderson died Friday in Oakland and “had been getting treatment at a hospital for a brief period.”

Henderson has the most MLB stolen bases of all time (1,406) and is often considered the greatest leadoff hitter in the sport’s history.

He played for nine teams from 1979 to 2003 and most of those years were played with the Oakland Athletics, where he debuted in the big leagues.

MLB fans were heartbroken to hear the news concerning Henderson.

“RIP to the GOAT of the stolen base,” one commented.

“This one hurts. RIP Rickey!” another wrote.

“Sucks when your childhood heroes go. He was that rare mix of supreme talent, superlative style, and unrivaled skill. RIP to the greatest leadoff hitter of all-time,” a third added.

“Absolutely crushing loss,” a fourth stated.

Throughout his career, Henderson recorded 3,055 hits, 297 home runs, and a .279 batting average.

He played for the Athletics in four different stints, with one of them helping Oakland claim a World Series title in 1989.

Henderson then won another World Series, this time with the Blue Jays in 1993.

The California native also played for the New York Yankees, Anaheim Angels, now known as the Los Angeles Angels, the Seattle Mariners, the Boston Red Sox, and two stints with the San Diego Padres.

Taylor Swift impresses in red outfit in return to Arrowhead Stadium to support Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce

TAYLOR Swift showed off in eye-popping attire for the Kansas City Chiefs’ last home game of the regular season.

The 35-year-old music icon returned to GEHA Field at Arrowhead on Saturday after a two-game absence to cheer on boyfriend and NFL star Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs hosted the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon.

Swift arrived at the stadium and rocked a big red coat and black hat paired with knee-high black boots.

She then made her way to the Chiefs’ suite.

It was Swift’s first Chiefs game in the month of December.

She didn’t appear at Kansas City’s home win over the Los Angeles Chargers on December 8 due to the fact she was performing her last Eras Tour weekend show.

Swift also missed the Chiefs’ road victory over the Cleveland Browns in Kelce’s native Ohio last Sunday.

The 14-time Grammy winner celebrated her 35th birthday earlier this month with Kelce.

It’s believed that the three-time Super Bowl champion “hired a private chef and bartender to cook and make cocktails” for himself and Swift.

The report added that Kelce gave her gifts which included “jewelry engraved specifically for Taylor.”

And Kelce decided to have a more “intimate party” with Swift than a large gathering and the party was “decorated beautifully” with flowers.

He also surprised Swift with an Era Tour-themed party earlier this week.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, also attended the gathering.

Kelce was seen donning a tuxedo at the festivities – the same attire he wore in June when he made an Eras Tour during a concert in London.

Swift, meanwhile, sported a black dress.

Kelce and the Chiefs are in the middle of schedule chaos.

After they face the Texas this weekend, the Chiefs will travel to play the Pittsburgh Steelers for a Christmas Day game on Wednesday.

It will be the second and third games played in 10 days.

The back-to-back reigning Super Bowl champions are eyeing a three-peat and will end the regular season in a divisional matchup with the Denver Broncos on January 5.

Kansas City is currently 13-1 and needs to win two of their last three games of the season to earn the No. 1 seed, giving them a first-round bye and home-field advantage.
