Former Premier League striker admits to filming illegal sex tapes as prosecutor calls for four years in prison

EX-PREMIER LEAGUE player Hwang Ui-Jo has apologised for secretly filming sexual encounters with his partners.

Prosecutors said the South Korea international, 31, filmed sexual encounters with two of his partners without their consent on four occasions between June and September 2022.

Appearing in court for the first time in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday, prosecutors demanded a four-year prison term for the forward.

The case emerged last year when he filed a complaint against his older brother’s wife for sharing intimate photos of him from the videos to Instagram and blackmailing him.

His sister-in-law was sentenced to three years in prison in September for the blackmail attempt after Hwang sued her.

However, during the investigation police then found evidence of his act of illegally filming the videos.

He pleaded guilty to all the charges and said he was “deeply sorry”.

Hwang pleaded to the court of leniency, saying he would “take this incident as a lesson”.

He said: “I will not do anything wrong in the future and will do my best as a footballer.

“I sincerely apologise to the victims who have been affected by my actions, and I am deeply sorry for the disappointment I have caused to all those who have cared and supported me.”

The 62-cap international signed for Nottingham Forest from Bordeaux in 2022 before going on loan to Olympiacos, Seoul, Norwich and Alanyaspor.

Hwang left Forest to join the latter team in September.

His sentencing date was set for December 18.

Coronation Street star confirms exit in emotional post after shock murder twist

A MAJOR Coronation Street star’s exit has been confirmed after a shock murder twist.

It was announced earlier this year that Calum, who plays Joel Deering, would be leaving the show[/caption]

In the latest shock, villain Joel Deering (Calum Lill) has seemingly been murdered.

Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Joel’s ex DeeDee Bailey, shared a tribute video to Calum on Instagram.

Featuring The Rembrandts classic “I’ll Be There For You” (aka the “Friends” theme song), the clip showed various moments of the pair’s time working together.

Her caption, in part, read: “Thanks for the best year Cal, I wouldn’t have wanted to tell DeeDee and Joel’s story with anyone else.

“Right that’s enough being nice now, we can’t afford for that head of yours to get any bigger.

“Over and out x.”

Calum commented: “Maaaaate, this set me right off!

“So many good memories. I’m gonna miss you so much… I’ll even miss having to carry your things everywhere.”

Monday’s episode saw Joel’s body surface from a river – before a post mortem revealed he was in fact dead before he entered the water and this was no suicide.

In turn, DC Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts) announcement that Joel’s death was now a murder investigation sent shockwaves around Weatherfield.

Kit began by informing both Lauren (Cait Fitton) and Dee-Dee, whose lives Joel threatened to destroy with his abuse and lies.

The Sun exclusively revealed in August that Calum would be leaving the role of Joel in “explosive scenes” after a year playing the character.

A source said: “Calum has made a huge impact as Joel over the last year but he always knew it would be for a fixed term.

“He’s been great playing Joel but all good soap villains must get their comeuppance and Joel’s is coming very soon.

Coronation Street's 2024 shock exits

Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let's break down who's left the famous soap:

Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.

The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza’s grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.

Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.

After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.

Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.

Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.

Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul’s impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.

Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.

The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.

Simon’s been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.

Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.

It looks likely she’ll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.

Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.

Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.

“He’s already landed his first job after the show and so he’ll be finished in time to start rehearsals for that.

“But on-screen Joel has no idea what’s coming for him as his dark secrets start to be exposed.”

Post-Corrie, Calum has signed up to appear in a Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime in Bournemouth.

Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.

Interactive map reveals how the new Covid variant XEC is ripping across the globe – as UK cases surge

A WORRYING new strain of Covid is spreading “rapidly” across the globe, experts have warned.

XEC was first detected in Germany in June and has since been found in at least 29 countries across Europe, North America and Asia.

Scientists don’t believe the variant is more deadly than some of its predecessors, but they say it is transmitted more easily.

XEC, a sublineage of Omicron which is said to be “taking charge” globally, is now thought to account for one in 10 cases in England.

About 11 per cent of Covid infections are believed to be XEC in Scotland, 13 per cent in Wales, and 24 per cent in Northern Ireland, according to outbreak.info.

Worldwide, the Czech Republic had the highest prevalence of the variant over the last 60 days, with 16 per cent of samples containing XEC.

This was closely followed by Germany, Austria, the Faroe Islands, the Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal.

The UK sits in eighth place.

Dr Eric Topol, director of the Scripps Research Translational Institute in California, said: “XEC is definitely taking charge.”

It adds to growing fears of a winter tripledemic, with Covid, flu and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections rocketing.

The hospital admission rate for patients testing positive for Covid-19 stood at 4.5 per 100,000 people in the week to October 6, up from 3.7 a week earlier.

It is the fourth weekly rise in a row, according to data published by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).

A year ago, admissions stood at the higher rate of 6.2 per 100,000 people, before falling in subsequent weeks – then peaking at 5.2 over Christmas.

During the first winter of the pandemic in 2020/21, rates climbed as high at 36.5 per 100,000.

Dr Jamie Lopez Bernal, UKHSA consultant epidemiologist, said: “Covid-19 is continuing to circulate, with a slight increase in hospitalisations over the past two weeks.

“If you are showing symptoms, such as a high temperature, cough, and feeling tired and achy, try to limit your contact with others, especially those who are vulnerable.

“If you’re eligible to get vaccinated against the three main winter threats – Covid-19, flu and RSV – now is the time to take them up and get winter strong.

“We understand people may be concerned about new variants.

“Our surveillance shows that where Covid cases are sequenced, around one in 10 are the ‘XEC’ lineage.

“Current information doesn’t suggest we should be more concerned about this variant, but we are monitoring this closely.

“The most important thing to do is to get your vaccination as soon as possible if you’re eligible.”

a chart showing the difference between cold and flu

All adults aged 65 and over are able to receive both the latest Covid-19 booster and this year’s flu jab, along with residents in older adult care homes and people with underlying health conditions aged six months to 64 years.

Both vaccines are also being offered to frontline health and social care staff, with employees in older adult care homes eligible for the Covid jab.

The hospital admission rate in England for people with flu stood at 0.6 per 100,000 in the most recent week, compared with 0.1 this time last year.

Symptoms of Covid XEC

By Isabel Shaw, Health Reporter

We don’t know what the specific XEC symptoms are just yet.

So far, the signs aren’t too dissimilar from what we’ve seen with earlier strains.

This includes tirednessheadaches, a sore throat, a high fever and a dry cough.

The loss of taste and smell – once a hallmark sign of the bug – is only reported by two to three per cent of infected Brits, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

If you are suffering from Covid, prioritise rest and hydration while using over-the-counter medications like paracetamol to relieve symptoms.

The best way to protect yourself from Covid is to get vaccinated.

Jabs have been updated to tackle recent variants, though not specifically for XEC, which evolved from earlier Omicron strains.

The NHS is offering autumn Covid boosters to the most vulnerable in October. This includes:

  • Over-64s
  • People aged between six months and 64 years with health conditions that make them more vulnerable
  • People living in care homes for older people
  • Front-line health and social care staff, including in care homes for older people

The NHS will contact eligible patients directly, but they can also book their own appointments now via the NHS App, GPs, pharmacies, drop-in clinics, or by calling 119.

Flu admissions last winter peaked at 7.5 per 100,000 people in late January.

The NHS is also offering for the first time a vaccine against RSV, a common cause of coughs and colds, which can be dangerous to older people and young children.

The jab is available to people aged 75 to 79 as well as pregnant women from 28 weeks, to protect their child.

Dr Conall Watson, of the UKHSA, said: “We are starting to see the expected seasonal rise in RSV, a common lung virus which can cause pneumonia and infant bronchiolitis.

“RSV lung infections like bronchiolitis are a major cause of babies needing to visit A&E or be admitted to hospital each winter.

“The RSV vaccine for pregnant mums is an important step in keeping babies well through winter.

“If your baby has a cold that is getting worse, or it is causing unusual breathing or problems feeding, call NHS 111 or contact your GP practice.

“As a parent, trust your judgement and if your baby seems seriously unwell go to A&E or call 999.”

Bloke lived to 78 without realising he actually had THREE penises – in 2nd only case of bizarre condition

A MAN may have lived his whole life without ever realising he had three penises due to an ultra-rare condition.

The 78-year-old British man donated his body to the University of Birmingham Medical School, where students discovered a “remarkable anatomical variation” as they dissected him.

www.jmedicalcasereports.biomedcentral.com
A man who donated his body to science was discovered to have been living with three penises – two of which were buried in in scrotum[/caption]

The man’s genitals appeared normal from the outside, but further examination revealed he had two more small penises “stacked” inside his groin.

Medics described their “serendipitous discovery” in a paper submitted to the Journal of Medical Case Reports.

According to the report, the man had triphallia, “a rare congenital anomaly describing the presence of three distinct penile shafts”.

Being born with more than one penis – known as polyphallia – is “extremely rare”, researchers stressed.

The condition only effects on in five to six million live births.

Papers published between 1606 and 2023 contain a smattering of reports of diphalia, when someone has two penises.

But triphalia has only been reported on once before, in a 3-month-old child who had extra glans growing out of the root of his penis and his scrotum.

This makes the 78-year-old man only the second known person to have been born with three members.

What makes his case unusual is the fact that the penises were “concealed within the scrotal sac”, so his genitals appeared normal from the outside.

This probably explains why the man’s triphallia wasn’t spotted until after his death.

According to local policy, the identity of people who’ve donated their bodies and their medical history can’t disclosed to researchers.

As a result, knowledge of the patient’s medical history is pretty limited to what medics could discover while dissecting the body.

The man was white, in his late 70s and six feet tall.

Though his “anatomical variation” may not have been flagged, it’s possible that the man may have experienced urinary tract infections, erectile dysfunction or fertility issues, the report authors noted.

They found three penis-like structures stacked next to each other.

The largest was on the only member that was visible externally, while the other two were nestled in the man’s scrotum .

Both of the smaller members had spongy erectile tissue – known as the corpora cavernosa – and tips.

Other bizarre case reports involving... penises

FROM gangrene to amputations and food poisoning, here are a few bizarre and horrifying case reports involving the male member.

One of the extra penises also shared an urethra – the tube the transports pee out of the body – with the primary penis.

Genital development begins in the womb and starts to happen at four to seven weeks gestation.

The report states: “The penis develops from the genital tubercule [a structure which is the precursor of the penis in males and clitoris in females] and is controlled by dihydrotestosterone.

“Genetic abnormalities affecting the expression of androgen receptors may cause morphological genital abnormalities.

“In this case, there may have been triplication of the genital tubercle.

“The urethra originally developed in the secondary penis, however, when this penis failed to develop, the urethra diverted its course and developed in the primary penis instead.”

Extra members in people with polyphallia tend to be non-functional and smaller, and are often removed if they form externally.

“Without any symptoms and additional medical needs, concealed internal penises may not present themselves, preventing diagnosis,” the report authors wrote.

As a result, polyphallia may be more common that we realise.

Diagnosing the condition can be especially important in clinical settings, for example when a patient needs a catheter inserted or requires surgery.

Most cases of polyphallia tend to be evident at birth due to the presence of external extra penises, or they become apparent due to symptoms like sexual dysfunction or urinary incontinence in adulthood.

“We cannot be certain that in this case the defect remained unnoticed in life,” report authors wrote.

“If the defect had been noticed during his life it may have simply been left untouched due to the apparent lack of symptoms and its benign nature.”

Detroit Lions sign Aidan Hutchinson replacement following horror season ending injury with DE taken from NFL rival

THE Detroit Lions have moved to replace star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson after his injury nightmare.

Hutchinson was ruled out for the season after fracturing his tibia in Sunday’s win at the Dallas Cowboys.

Aidan Hutchinson is out for the year after a horror injury suffered in the win over the Dallas Cowboys[/caption]

The 24-year-old is the heart and soul of the Lions defense and losing him was a major blow.

Detroit announced a roster move Tuesday in a bid to fill the massive void.

Defensive end Isaiah Thomas was signed from the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad.

Thomas, 25, was taken in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.

He spent two seasons in Cleveland before moving across Ohio to Cincinnati this year.

The defensive end played 10 times for the Browns in the 2022 season and had nine tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery.

Hutchinson’s injury was so bad that Fox NFL cameras refused to show a replay on Sunday.

He suffered the injury in the third quarter at AT&T Stadium when trying to tackle Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

His leg snapped just above the ankle after he collided with team-mate Alim McNeill.

Hutchinson grimaced in pain as medics rushed onto the field.

Players from both teams prayed for the 24-year-old as he was carried off the field.

He stayed in Dallas, Texas and immediately underwent surgery as his teammates dealt with his loss.

David Montgomery said, “Aidan is definitely the heartbeat of our team and that defense.”

Brian Branch added, “We know how much Hutch means to the team, the defense alone, he is the tone setter.

“To see him go down like that, you don’t wish that on none of us. We had to do it for Hutch.”

Head coach Dan Campbell said, “It’s hard when you lose somebody like him. But we’ll know a lot more after this and obviously wish him the best.

“It’s hard for everybody when you’re standing there and that’s one of yours and something like that happens.

“If you dwell on that too much and you start playing a little timid, that’s when you get hurt.

“So guys snapped right back in and they lived in the moment where we’re on.”

Detroit is 4-1 this season and targeting another deep playoff run.

The made it to the NFC Championship Game last season, where they were beaten by the San Francisco 49ers.

Haunting ‘date rape’ theory that could explain mountains of baby oil found at Diddy’s mansion after his arrest emerges

A RECENT lawsuit filed against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs could shed light on why scores of baby oil were found by cops when they raided his home earlier this year.

The suit, which accuses disgraced rapper Diddy of child sexual assault, claims he laced “lotions or similar body oils” with GHB – commonly known as the ‘date rape drug’.

The lawsuit – one of six fresh claims filed in New York on Monday – details “allegations of Combs dousing victims in lotions or similar body oils… laced with GHB, so that the drug would be absorbed through the victim’s skin and make it easier to assault him or her”.

Gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB) is hard to detect when slipped into a drink and was originally developed as an anaesthetic – producing feelings of drowsiness or relaxation.

It comes in liquid form, powder or crystal form and can be absorbed through the skin when mixed into lubricants, Buzzfeed and Channel 4 reports.

On March 25 this year federal police raided Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami mansions, seizing over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.

Pictures showed cops removing evidence boxes from his home – with an unsealed indictment revealing they had also found narcotics and three AR-15 rifles.

Diddy was arrested on September 16 in Manhattan by Homeland Security on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

He was charged on three federal counts with one alleging he forced his victims to take part in drug-fuelled sex parties he called “Freak Offs.”

Diddy is facing a slew of accusations including rape and sexual assault from some 120 alleged victims in different criminal and civil lawsuits.

One filed by an unnamed John Doe on Monday accuses him of sexual assault when the alleged victim was only 16.

It describes the disgraced rapper as “a menace to society, women and children”.

Diddy has denied the allegations against him and his lawyer Marc Agnifilio has hit out against claims about the amount of baby oil found in his home.

He told The New York Post: “I don’t think it was 1,000. I think it was a lot.

“I mean there is a Costco right down the street. I think Americans buy in bulk, as we know.

“And, you know, these are consensual adults doing what consensual adults do, you know.”

Diddy is being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center and has been denied bail twice.

The Sun has reached out to Diddy’s legal team for comment.

If you or someone you know is affected by any of the issues raised in this story, call RAINN (Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network) at 800-656-HOPE (4673).

A timeline of Diddy's downfall

BY Forest McFarland, Senior News Reporter

BEFORE Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest on Monday night, it had been highly speculated that the rap star would find himself in custody after he was repeatedly hit with disturbing accusations – and had two of his mansions raided by the feds.

His mounting legal troubles finally came to a head on September 17, when he was charged with three federal counts, including sex trafficking, for allegedly forcing victims to take part in drug-fueled sex parties he called “Freak Offs.”

Hours before his arrest, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed the feds investigating Combs were secretly liaising with Tupac Shakur murder prosecutors on gangland activities.

The development also came after Combs was named 77 times in documents submitted by prosecutors in the Tupac murder case.

Aside from the Tupac probe, Combs was already facing a slew of lawsuits, including one he settled with his ex, Cassie Ventura, after she accused him of rape and abuse.

Disturbing hotel surveillance video from 2016 showed Combs chasing Cassie down and then punching, kicking, and beating her in a hallway.

Two months earlier, in March 2024, two of Combs’ mansions were raided by federal investigators, who seized three AR-15s, drugs, and 1,000 bottles of lube which were part of his “Freak Off” supplies.

In addition to his federal criminal charges, Combs also faces a handful of lawsuits with allegations of sexual assault, harassment, and sex trafficking dating back to the early 1990s.

Music producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones filed one suit in February 2024, claiming Combs forced him to hire sex workers and participate in sex acts while he worked on his latest album.

Combs has denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the federal sex trafficking charges against him, but his battle is far from over.

He faces life in prison if he’s convicted on all counts.
