A BODY has been found in the hunt for a missing mum whose belongings were discovered on a riverbank after she vanished.

Victoria Taylor disappeared from her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, at around 9am on September 30.

A final CCTV image showed the 34-year-old hidden under a camo baseball cap at a BP garage later that morning.

Police launched a huge search for Victoria after her personal belongings were found close to the River Derwent.

Officers today revealed a body has now tragically been found.

Assistant Chief Constable Wayne Fox confirmed the discovery was made at 11.45am today near to where Victoria’s possessions were found.

He added: “While today’s outcome is not what anyone wished for, Victoria’s family asked me to express thanks to those who supported North Yorkshire Police and the emergency services.

“Our thoughts remain very much with them at this time.”

Victoria, who is mum to a two-year-old daughter, is understood to have been seen heading towards a library on Commercial Street in Malton.

She was then captured on CCTV at the petrol garage in Welham Road – around half a mile away – wearing jeans and a puffa jacket.

Victoria was seen on camera as she passed Malton bus station and a children’s play park at 11.53am.

Her last sighting was at 12.30pm as she walked towards the play park before heading to a path along the water.

Police previously confirmed they were keeping an open mind but there was nothing to suggest any third party involvement.

They concentrated their search on the river after confirming a “number of personal possessions” belonging to Victoria had been found near the water.

Head of Local Policing, Chief Superintendent Fiona Willey, said the force had to accept the “significant possibility” the mum had entered the river.

Drones were used to search the area from above, while a specialist underwater unit was also drafted in to help with the hunt.

Officers also used sophisticated sonar technology to scan the river bed as the search ramped up.

A Facebook group was also set up to help find Victoria as locals put up missing posters around the area.

Her fiancé Matthew Williams updated his Facebook profile picture to a touching black and white snap of the pair.

He later issued a heartbreaking plea, saying: “I hope she comes back safely”.

The couple had recently returned home after enjoying their first holiday together in Majorca.

Matthew also wept as he told how he and the pair’s one-year-old daughter were living “in hope”.

He added: “I am just heartbroken for this one. I know Vikki wanted this one to have the best opportunities in life – the opportunities she never had.

“It breaks my heart.”

While her sisters Emma and Heidi said: “We currently feel sick, distraught and lost following the disappearance of Vixx, but we are trying to focus on the children in the family to maintain a sense of routine at this difficult time.

“We would like to thank all the emergency services and volunteers who have assisted in the search for Vixx so far. The wider local community has also rallied around, and we are eternally grateful for the support that they have given to us, Vixx’s family.

“The police have told us that searches will continue over the weekend for which we are grateful.

“The water is challenging at the moment due to the recent weather so if people are out searching for Vixx, then please do not put yourself at risk.”

Victoria was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffa jacket with white stripes down the sleeves and a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper.

She had shared a touching image with her daughter on Facebook just days before she vanished.

North Yorkshire Police previously said members of the public should expect to see an increased police presence in Malton.

GREG Olsen and new Fox NFL Sunday broadcast partner Adam Amin were hailed as “the best duo in football” after Week 8.

Former tight end Olsen gave way as Fox’s lead analyst after Fox handed Patriots legend Tom Brady a $375million deal.

But Olsen continues to call some of the best games in the league and this past weekend was no different.

The Detroit Lions’ beat the Minnesota Vikings 31-29 and Olsen was joined by Adam Amin in the booth.

Broadcaster Amin replaced Jason Benetti from the week prior – and fans loved the duo.

One said: “Adam Amin and Greg Olsen are such a great NFL Sunday duo.”

Another added: “Adam Amin and Greg Olsen is the best commentary booth in football right now.”

One hailed: “Amin and Olsen are a solid duo! They need to be slotted for the game of the week moving forward!”

Another said: “Adam Amin and Gregg Olsen should be the number 1 announcing team for Fox.”

The game itself was a thriller with Jake Bates kicking a 44-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining to win the match.

Head coach Dan Campbell said: “It was going to come down to the wire.

“The team knew this. We talked about patience. Patience. Keep your composure. Communication. Attitude. Our guys did that.

“We hung in there, and we didn’t bat an eye. … Great team win. Complementary football across the board.

“Offense, defense, special teams when we need it most. Really proud of these guys. It’s a huge win on the road, tough environment.

“Don’t want to say must-win, but we needed that in a lot of ways.”

The Lions have now overtaken the Vikings for top spot in the NFC North standings.

THE Arizona Cardinals have drastically cut the amount of time that cheerleaders spend on the sidelines.

The team’s cheerleaders were reportedly removed from the sidelines for Monday Night Football.

According to Arizona Fox affiliate Fox10, the cheerleaders only performed during breaks in the game.

They say this is because of new premium seating that was installed in the stadium.

The current team of cheerleaders and former Cardinals cheerleaders were shocked by the decision.

Families of the cheerleaders said performances used to be close to three hours during games, but they were cut to 15 minutes at max.

The cheerleaders were only given four days notice of the change being made.

“I was a Cardinals Cheerleader many years ago,” Kim Denson told Fox10.

“The ‘94 and ’95 team when they first became the Cardinals.

“We added spice, girls, and something different than football.

“We worked our tails off. We put a lot of hours in. I’m very surprised.”

Cardinals games used to have cheerleaders stationed at all four corners of the field and in the end zone.

“I was an Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader from 2017 to 2021,” Davis Berryhill said.

“We really led the crowd and kept the positive energy up regardless.

“If it’s a win or not, such a great game.”

“It does hurt my heart a little bit that they won’t be out there tonight.”

On Monday night, the cheerleaders reportedly had to watch the game from inside a locker room instead of on the field.

“When I was on the team, seeing all the little girls in the stands was my favorite thing ever,” Berryhill said.

“For them to see a woman can be in professional sports. A woman can be in the NFL.

“I think having that representation of women is really important.”

Cardinals cheerleaders were brought out for a minute and a half, quarter breaks, and halftime.

Cheer teams for many other NFL teams are voicing their support on social media with the #KeepAZCCOnTheField hashtag.

POPULAR streamer Sneako aka Nicholas Nico has been banned from the site permanently.

Here we look at why the gamer can no longer use the Twitch platform and what he had to say about the site’s verdict.

Who is Nicholas Nico aka Sneako?

Nicolas “Nico” Kenn De Balinthazy aka Sneako was born on September 8, 1998 in New York.

He is a YouTuber and a social media star who is best known for his gaming content.

Sneako also posts on X/Twitter, where he has a fanbase of over 60K followers, while on Instagram he has almost 3K fans (stats accurate as of October 2024).

The influencer is also known for his controversial comments, which have often landed him in hot water.

Why has Sneako been banned from Twitch?

On October 22, 2024, Sneako revealed he had been banned from Twitch over “extreme hateful conduct”.

The gamer took to X to share the email he received from the gaming platform’s bosses.

The email shared an extensive list of reasons why Sneako had been banned, and they were: “Extreme hateful conduct.

“Focusing your conduct on promoting, encouraging, or facilitating the discrimination or denigration of others based on their protected characteristics.

“Examples of violative conduct include, but are not limited to Devoting a majority of your stream towards promoting racism or xenophobia.”

It continued: “Going on a prolonged rant about how a specific group of people are a danger to society because of their religion. Participating in or organizing a hate group’s malicious activities.”

In response to being permanently banned, Sneako posted a video on Instagram, where he said: “I don’t even know what I got banned for.

“I just woke up, and saw the email (reading out the email) ‘extreme hateful conduct’… here we go again!”

Going on he said: “I’m not gonna play stupid, I know they [Twitch] are getting pressure right now cause let’s be real.

“People like Destiny, people like XQC, like Pokemon, these people are applying pressure because they are saying Twitch is allowing antisemitic people on the platform, all because we are vocal about what is going on in the Middle East. 

“That’s what it is.”

Where else has Sneako been banned from?

In 2022, Sneako was banned from YouTube for “repeated community guideline violations”.

It came about after he was accused of “spreading misinformation about Covid and the 2020 US elections”.

After he was cancelled from the platform, he live-streamed and posted content on the alt-tech social media platform Rumble.

On October 20, 2024, Sneako was reinstated on YouTube, only to be banned two days later.

A NEW law has banned certain vehicles from using the left-hand lane on several major roads and forced drivers to pack more in their trunks.

Versions of the rules have been enforced previously, but officials have decided to significantly extend their scope.

Drivers in Colorado are now subject to strict new rules governing winter driving[/caption]

Winter is very much on the way, with parts of the country seeing temperatures dropping as low as 20F overnight.

Drivers in traditionally colder states in the North and Mid-West are bracing for snowy conditions and icy roads as Fall wears on.

This includes lawmakers bringing in temporary restrictions to improve safety on wintry routes until the thaw.

A recently enacted law in Colorado is one example, with the state cracking down on certain vehicles driving in the snow.

The National Weather Service is forecasting lows of 20F in the area around the Rockies, while the densely populated Denver Metropolitan Area could see around 43F.

Given the oncoming chill, officials are particularly concerned about the prospect of larger vehicles losing control in wintry conditions.

As a result, commercial vehicles weighing over 16,000 lbs have now been banned from using the outside lane in multiple areas in the mountainous part of the state.

Drivers must keep to the inside if they are travelling through any of the following:

• Glenwood Canyon
• Dowd Junction (The section of I-70 between Avon and Vail)
• The west side of Vail Pass
• The tunnel grade on both sides of the Eisenhower-Johnson tunnels
• Georgetown Hill
• Floyd Hill

The only exception is pulling out to overtake a vehicle up ahead if it is travelling below the posted speed limit.

This includes new “heightened speed limit enforcement zones”, where the limit can be lowered by law enforcement depending on conditions.

Any trucker caught violating the rule will be charged with a moving violation and could be hit with fines.

Likewise, the law allows penalty charges to be double for any commercial vehicle caught speeding in the enforced areas.

In addition to the new speed and lane restrictions, motorists will also be required to carry snow chains or other form of traction assistance on any of the following roads:

• I-70 west of milepost 259 (Morrison)
• Colorado Hwy. 9 milepost 63 to milepost 97 (Frisco to Fairplay)
• Route 40 west of milepost 256 (Empire)
• U.S. Route 50 west of milepost 225 (Salida)
• U.S. Route 160 west of MP 250 (Morrison)
• U.S. Route 550 from milepost 0 to 130 (State line south of Durango to Montrose)

This marks a change from the previous rules, which only required chains on I-70 between Dotsero and Morrison.

The restrictions came into force on September 1 and will apply to all commercial vehicles in the state until May 31.

And following their latest humiliating defeat, fans blockaded the stadium in the hope of trapping the hated owners inside.

Meanwhile, construction of a new ground which was meant to be the ‘world’s greatest stadium’ has ground to a complete halt with nothing done since 2009.

As a result of the Nou Mestalla being left an empty shell with no plan for work to restart, it was scrapped as a World Cup 2030 host venue.

And all of this has left the club’s fans furious with owner Peter Lim, who also owns Salford City, alongside Gary Neville and a group of Man Utd legends.

Valencia were Champions League finalists in 2000 and 2001, losing to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich respectively.

But a 3-2 home defeat to Las Palmas on left the club staring down the barrel at relegation.

They now sit rock bottom of La Liga, two points off 17th-placed Leganes.
