Teenagers dressed as furry animals and crawling on all-fours are ATTACKING passersby in bizarre new viral craze

TEENAGERS dressed as furry animals and crawling on all fours have been attacking people on the streets in a bizarre new viral trend.

Wearing costumes of dogs and cats, kids pretending to be animals are growling, barking and meowing in a bid to mimic animal behaviour – and are even bitting and scratching passersby.

Bizzare footage shows a group of people dressed up as furry animals crawling on the streets of Uzbekistan.

Other pictures show a teenage girl wearing a cat costume goading a dog.

A third clip shows a young kid, dressed up as a black cat and tied to a leash, walking on all fours on a public street.

The woman holding the leash can be seen petting the person as if it were a real cat.

Called the quadrobers, these people copy animal behaviour, such as movements and sounds, while wearing clothing elements like animal masks, paws and tails.

It has become a viral trend in many parts of Russia and the former Soviet Union.

Cops are now hunting for one teenager who bit at least one passerby after pretending to be a dog in Uzbekistan, the Telegraph reports.

The government has also threatened to fine the parents of such kids who are found to be quadrobing out in public.

A spokesperson said in a statement: “Experts believe that quadrobics can lead to the child taking on the aggressive actions of animals, injuring himself and others, and can lead to damage to the child’s not yet fully formed psyche, as well as to his isolation from society.”

Russian lawmakers are also working to introduce a legal ban on the trend that has gone viral this year among the youth.

They say it can “seriously harm” teenagers and affect other people around them.

Natalia Kosikhina, a Russian senator, said: “I believe that we need to make sure that children are more interested in sports and educational activities that would not harm the psyche and health of others.”

Quadrobics: a social media trend or a vicious anomaly?

Quadrobics is believed to have been invented by Japanese sprint runner Kenichi Ito, who set a world record in running on four limbs in an imitation of a monkey.

Teenagers have now turned it into a viral trend where they roleplay as various animals by wearing costumes and mimicking their behaviour.

The trend is said to have migrated from Japan to many parts of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

While some teenagers increasingly take part in the viral trend as a pastime hobby, others claim they are fascinated by animals with human characteristics.

People who follow therianthropes – another subculture in the trend – believe that they have the souls of animals and were accidentally born as human beings.

Many experts believe the trend can have long-lasting negative effects on children’s mental health.

However, some psychologists claim that sport does not have any negative effects on society.

Vera Sukhikh, a psychotherapist and research fellow at Moscow State University, said: “Quadrobics is an advanced imaginative game that migrated from preschool age to early adolescence.

“In this sense, I do not see anything asocial…in quadrobics,” said Sukhikh.

“The game stays with a person for life as a way to have fun, distract himself, and unload emotionally.”

Who is Adriana Lima’s boyfriend Andre Lemmers?

ADRIANA Lima is a supermodel who is best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

The Brazilian model made headlines in 2024, when she announced that she would be walking in the brand’s return to the runway.

The couple have been together since 2021

The supermodel has been dating Andre Lemmers since 2021 and the film producer is a big supporter of his wife’s career.

Here’s everything you need to know about Andre.

Secretive film producer

Andre is a film producer who is based in Santa Monica, California, who is intensely private about his life.

Unlike Adriana, he has very little presence on social media.

He has been the CEO of MiLu Entertainment since 2014 and is also a partner at Hollywood Gang Productions.

Andre has been dating his supermodel girlfriend since 2021.

Adriana’s previous comments on relationships have caused widespread controversy, as she told GQ in 2006 that “sex is for after marriage”.

She also denounced abortion as a crime in the same interview.

In 2023, her publicist released a statement saying that her stance had changed.

The statement said: “We can proudly say that Ms Lima has been promoting a healthy lifestyle for several years and like many people, her position on many LGBTQIA+ and women issues has evolved and she is considered an ally.”

Father of one

On February 18, 2022, Lima announced on TikTok that she was expecting her first child with Andre.

She posted a video of her ultrasound and announced that her child was due in the fall.

Her son, named Cyan, was born in August 2022.

Although the baby is Lima’s first child with Andre, he is her third child when including previous relationships.

She and her ex-husband Mark Jaric welcomed their daughter Valentina in 2009 and their daughter Sienna in 2012.

The couple have one child together but have four children in total from previous marriages

Supermodel girlfriend

Adriana is a Brazilian model who was born on June 1981 in Salvador.

She became a model almost by accident, as she only submitted her head shot to a modelling agency to support a friend who was also sending in a picture.

Shortly after, she finished in first place in Ford’s Supermodel of Brazil model search.

She started working as a Victoria’s Secret model in 1999 and became synonymous with the lingerie brand.

Adriana often stomped down the runway wearing the brand’s iconic angel wings and quickly shot up the Forbes top-earning models list.

The model walked in her final Victoria’s Secret fashion show in 2018, which was her eighteenth appearance at the event.

She announced in 2024 that she would be donning the brand’s angel wings once again, when the fashion show returned after its hiatus.

Burger King has partnered with Hidden Valley Ranch[/caption]

Starting on October 16, Burger King will release its “Big Dip” cups of Hidden Valley Ranch to be paired with its Whoppers, per a press release.

Those who make purchases at certain Burger King locations nationwide can get the eight-ounce cup with any sandwich without an additional fee.

For comparison, other sauce offerings at the fast food chain are only one ounce, making it a significant size increase for free.

The partnership between Burger King and Hidden Valley Ranch is available in person on October 16 at restaurants across seven cities in six states.

Customers in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco should be on the lookout at their local Burger King.

ONLINE ACCESS

Those who aren’t near those areas shouldn’t fret, however, as there is another option to get the “Big Dip” from anywhere across the country.

Hidden Valley Ranch is releasing supplies of the eight-ounce cups on its website starting at $1 at 11:00 am EST on October 16.

Inventory of the cups will also be continuously restocked through the same time on October 18.

It’s unclear if the “Big Dip” cups at the select Burger King restaurants across the seven cities will follow the same schedule, but it’s likely.

Interested customers should act fast after the initial release to get their hands on the Whopper sauce pairing before it’s gone for good.

Additionally, a one-ounce “regular sized Hidden Valley Ranch cup is here to stay at Burger King restaurants nationwide” after the “Big Dip” is gone, according to the release.

While fans of Hidden Valley Ranch and Burger King may be living out a dream scenario, some customers said they wish the fast food chain would’ve stuck with its former ranch recipe.

DIP DEBATE

“I miss their old ranch that was literally the only reason I still went there,” someone wrote in a Facebook thread about the collaboration.

“To dip my fries in THAT ranch. No longer have my business.”

Burger King History

Burger King, one of the most well-known fast-food chains globally, originated in the United States.

The company was founded in 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida, under the name Insta-Burger King.

The original concept was created by Keith J. Kramer and his wife’s uncle, Matthew Burns, who purchased the rights to two pieces of equipment called “Insta” machines.

However, the company struggled financially and was purchased in 1954 by two Miami-based franchisees, James McLamore and David Edgerton. They rebranded the company as Burger King and began to expand its operations.

McLamore and Edgerton are credited with developing the company’s signature product, the Whopper, in 1957, which helped to establish the brand’s identity and popularity.

Under their leadership, Burger King grew rapidly, eventually becoming a significant player in the fast-food industry.

The company continued to expand both domestically and internationally, becoming the global brand it is known as today.

Others questioned the cheeseburger and ranch combination, pointing to an eight-ounce cup of ketchup or Burger King’s zesty sauce as a better offering.

“Who dips their burger into ranch?” someone asked.

“Why can’t we get this for ketchup?!” another questioned.

“They need to do this with their zesty sauce lol,” added a third.

SPOOKY MENU

The Burger King and Hidden Valley Ranch collaboration also comes only days after the release of its Addams Family menu offerings on October 10.

It includes a Wednesday’s Whopper with purple buns, black sesame seeds, beef patty, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, Swiss cheese, ketchup, onions, and pickles.

There are also Thing’s Rings onion rings with character-themed packaging, Gomez’s Churro Fries, and Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake.

Prices for each item will vary by location, and the limited-time promition continues through November 10.

Two children run over at ‘ghost tracks’ vigil as another tragedy strikes ‘haunted’ site where ’23 students died’

TWO kids and a woman have been hospitalized after a drunk driver ran them over in the same spot where their family member died years ago.

The family was struck while holding a vigil on San Antonio’s ghost tracks, where 23 students and their bus driver were said to have been killed in a deadly crash in 1938.

Just after midnight on Sunday, the family was gathered on the train tracks to remember their unidentified relative who died in a car crash in the notorious spot.

A driver, who San Antonio Police later identified as 34-year-old Jessica Rose Llanas, missed a turn and steered into the family.

Llanas ran over the feet of the two kids, aged nine and 11, and struck one adult woman whose head was injured.

The three family members were brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Cops responded to the scene to investigate Llanas, who cooperated.

Llanas was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. The driver’s mugshot shows her with a seemingly bruised eye.

The U.S. Sun reached out to the San Antonio Police Department for more information.

GHOSTLY TALE

The scene, located at the intersection of Shane Road and Villamain Road, is known by locals as the site of a devastating school bus accident that sparked the name of ghost tracks.

According to urban legend, a school bus stalled as it tried to cross the train tracks and was hit by an oncoming train, killing all of the children on board and the school bus driver.

The legend says that to this day, anyone who parks their car near the tracks might encounter the ghosts of the children killed in the crash.

San Antonio locals say that drivers who park their cars in harm’s way will be pushed to safety by the ghosts.

Over the years, locals are said to have tested out the legend by waiting inside their cars to be pushed across the tracks.

Some visitors even sprinkle baby powder on the back of their car in order to catch ghostly handprints.

LEGEND DEBUNKED

However, the real 1938 tragedy occurred over 1,300 miles away, according to San Antonio NBC affiliate WOAI-TV.

Real story of the ghost tracks

San Antonio's ghost tracks are known as the site of a deadly school bus accident - but the story's origin actually happened near Salt Lake City, Utah.

On December 1, 1938, a school bus driven by 29-year-old Farrold Silcox was on the way to Jordan High School when tragedy struck, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.

A speeding freight train ripped into the school bus, carrying 38 students and the driver, and tore the vehicle in half.

The bus driver and 25 students ultimately died.

Patrolman Bob Howard told the DPS that the scene was “horrible.”

“Your heart was aching, but there was no time for remorse. We had a job to do,” Howard said.

“There were lots of children who were badly hurt and who would expire in short order if we didn’t keep our wits about us.”

Somehow, the devastating story got mixed up with San Antonio’s train tracks – creating the urban legend of the ghost tracks over 1,300 miles away.

The outlet obtained a report of the actual bus-train accident from the San Antonio Express on December 2, 1938 – but the crash happened just outside Salt Lake City, Utah.

The driver, Farrold Silcox, reportedly couldn’t see the oncoming train on the tracks because he was driving the school bus during a winter storm.

A train going 50 mph tore into the side of the school bus, ultimately killing Silcox and 25 students, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.

The horrific crash brought on national crossroad regulations that are still in place today.

It’s unclear how the San Antonio urban legend became mixed up with the Utah tragedy.

But despite announcing his plans to hang up his racquet, Nadal still has a few matches left in him – including a potential never-before-seen clash with Carlos Alcaraz.

Nadal will be taking part in this week’s Six Kings Slam in Riyadh alongside five other superstars in Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune.

The lucrative exhibition event in the Middle East will pit the six heavyweights against each other across three days.

As exciting as the brand new event sounds, it won’t earn any of the players ranking points as a non-ATP-sanctioned event.

However, players won’t mind that they’re not earning ranking point with the payday they’re set for.

It’s claimed that each player is guaranteed a minimum prize of £1.12MILLION, with the winner pocketing a whopping £4.5MILLION – the largest prize in tennis history.

Nadal, who will be playing for the first time since the Olympics, will face the winner of Rune vs Alcaraz on October 17 to battle for a place in the short tournament’s final on the 19th.

Nadal won’t be playing his last match during the tournament though, with his final appearance set for next month’s Davis Cup finals in Malaga in front of an adoring home crowd.

“I don’t think I have been able to play without limitations.”

Incredibly, he won his first 31 matches at Roland Garros and picked up the trophy in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022 – earning him the title of the King of Clay.

He joins fellow tennis icon Andy Murray in making the decision to bring his career to an end this year.

Rafael Nadal's farewell video in full

RAFAEL NADAL announced his retirement from professional tennis at the end of the 2024 season.

He released an emotional, five-minute video confirming his decision to hang up his racquets after 23 years on the ATP Tour and 22 Grand Slam titles.

Here’s what he said…

Hello everyone, I’m here to let you know that I am retiring from professional tennis.

The reality is that it has been some difficult years, these last two especially.

I don’t think I have been able to play without limitations.

It is obviously a difficult decision, one that has taken me some time to make.

But in this life, everything has a beginning and an end.

And I think it’s the appropriate time to put an end to a career that has been long and much more successful than I could have ever imagined.

But I am very excited that my last tournament will be the final of the Davis Cup and representing my country.

I think I’ve come full circle, since one of my first great joys as a professional tennis player was the Davis Cup final in Sevilla in 2004.

I feel super, super lucky for all the things I’ve been able to experience. I want to thank the entire tennis industry.

All the people involved in this sport: my long-term colleagues, especially my great rivals.

I have spent many, many hours with them, and I have lived many moments that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Talking about my team is a little bit more difficult for me because in the end my team has been a very important part of my life.

They are not just co-workers, they are friends.

They have been by my side at all the times I have really needed them.

Very bad moments. Very good moments. Moments when I had to be pushed. Moments they gave me more slack.

We have lived so much together that it is hard to explain.

My family is everything to me.

My mother. I think she has made all the sacrifices she had to make so that we would always have everything.

My wife, Mery, we’ve been together for 19 years. Thank you for everything you have done.

I think you’ve been the perfect travel companion during all these years of (my) career.

To come home and see how my son is growing every day has been a force that has really kept me alive and with the necessary energy to continue.

My sister, I think we have always had an incredible relationship.

My uncle, who is the reason I started playing tennis.

I believe that thanks to him, I have also been able to overcome many situations that have been difficult in my sporting career.

And to my father, who I believe has been a source of inspiration for me in every sense of the word.

I think he has been an example of effort, of overcoming.

Many, many thanks to my father in a very, very special way.

And finally, you, the fans.

I can’t thank you enough for what you have made me feel.

You have given me the energy I have needed at every moment.

Really, everything I have experienced has been a dream come true.

I leave with the absolute peace of mind of having given my best, of having made an effort in every way.

I can only end by saying a thousand thanks to all and see you soon.
