Amazon Fire Stick and Roku users unlock special Halloween and Christmas TV channels in latest boost to popular free app

The pair of new free channels, which air content 24 hours a day, will be available via the Rakuten TV streaming platform.

The channels are called Rakuten TV Halloween and Rakuten TV 100% Christmas.

Both stations will exclusively stream movies, from Hollywood blockbusters to beloved classics.

They are free to watch, as long as you’re happy to watch adverts.

Rakuten TV Halloween is already live on the platform, having launched yesterday, and will be watchable until 4 November.

The channel will feature a spooky selection of films, like The Resurrection of Charles Manson and Jessabelle.

Tomorrow (16 October), Rakuten TV will also launch its Christmas channel, which will air festive classics until 8 January, 2025.

The channel will include titles like Christmas Eve and I’m Not Ready for Christmas.

Where can I watch?

Amazon Fire and Roku streaming stick owners can download the Rakuten TV app to watch both channels.

Though the Halloween station will also be available on LG Channels, Xiaomi and Vidaa.

Meanwhile, 100% Christmas will be on platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Xiaomi and Vidaa.

Christmas spirit

Rakuten TV 100% Christmas is the latest festive channel to hit screens, but has managed to escape outrage for arriving ‘too early’.

GREAT! Christmas launched on 5 September, a whole 110 days before the big day itself.

It’s the earliest the channel has ever launched, and was met with disbelief from viewers.

“Hold on we haven’t passed Halloween yet for Christmas,” one person wrote on X at the time.

Though others welcomed the channel, saying: “I don’t mind, I can watch Christmas films anytime of year, I don’t see why people think they should only be watched at Christmas.

“Of course though, the obvious answer is if you think it’s too early don’t watch, simples!”

How Meghan Markle & Harry’s Australia tour ‘broke them’ & was the ‘catalyst’ for Megxit – ahead of King’s ‘tiring’ trip

KING Charles and Queen Camilla are heading on their Australia and Samoa royal tour this week and are set for an action-packed nine days.

Their trip comes six years after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s high profile trip Down Under which is said to have “broken” the couple.

According to a royal expert the Sussexes’ trip became a “catalyst” for leaving their roles as senior working roles and relocating to America.

Royal historian Tim Ewart spoke on Sky News Australia’s The Royals in Australia and said Meghan and Harry’s Australian tour was a huge success.

He claimed Meghan’s impact in Australia was “Princess Diana multiplied by two”.

Tim added: “They loved Australia and Australia responded to them.

“In those early days of Meghan and Harry, Meghan got an incredible reaction from the public.

“If Diana had been a breath of fresh air, it was Diana multiplied by two for Meghan.”

However, upon arriving back to the UK after their successful tour, Meghan and Harry felt they received little “praise and recognition” from The Firm.

Tim added: “Australia broke Harry and Meghan and was one of the catalysts for them leaving the royal family.

“She and Harry had expected they would get much more praise and recognition from that royal tour.”

Royal reporter Angela Mollard claimed Meghan grew frustrated following the trip, saying: “She was part of a big institution and she wasn’t the hero of it, she was a cog in the wheel and that became clear (after Australia).”

Tour success

In their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, Meghan and Harry agreed that “things really changed” for them after the Australia tour.

Harry said: “It really changed after the Australia tour, after our South Pacific tour. It was the first time that the family got to see how incredible she is at the job.

“And that brought back memories.

“To see how effortless it was for Meghan to come into the family so quickly in Australia and across New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, and just be able to connect with people.”

However, despite the tour’s “success”, within 18 months Meghan and Harry had stepped back from their royal roles and moved to California with their son Archie.

Charles’ ‘exhausting’ tour

King Charles’ Australia tour this week is historic, given it’s his first there as reigning monarch, but it could be “extremely exhausting” for Camilla who “doesn’t like flying”, according to an expert.

The royal couple will land in Australia on Friday, then head to Samoa on Wednesday October 23, before departing for the UK on Saturday October 26.

Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward told Fabulous: “Queen Camilla is 76.

“She gets very tired because she’s not born to this royal life.

Australia broke Harry and Meghan and was one of the catalysts for them leaving the royal family

Tim EwartRoyal historian

“I know she’s been in it a long time, but she’s not born to it, and I think people sometimes forget that Camilla’s never actually had a job.

“I think she finds these trips extremely exhausting. She doesn’t like flying.

“She’s not a great traveller, and she’s not good in the heat, because you know her, you know, like a lot of women of her age her feet swell up, and she feels uncomfortable.

“So it’s not the most pleasurable thing to do for her to whisk across to Australia although it might be really exciting for somebody younger.”

Despite the tour being potentially taxing for Queen Camilla, the royal expert claimed she will make it a success.

Ingrid continued: “I don’t think it’s great for her, but she has got a great humour, and she’s absolutely lovely to everybody.

“She’ll take a hairdresser. She’ll take her dresser, Jackie.

“She’ll have plenty of staff around her to help her, and she’s she is just so good humoured that people really like her.

I think she [Queen Camilla] finds these trips extremely exhausting. She doesn’t like flying.

Ingrid Seward

“Even when there’s a dire situation she can turn it around and make and make it much better.

“She’s what we call an upper person.

“She makes the best of any situation, and she can always make it, you know, find some amusement somewhere to cheer everybody up.”

Tour itinerary

The King and Queen will start their trip in Sydney on October 18 before heading to capital Canberra three days later for a banquet with senior politicians.

It’ll be Charles’ 17th visit to Australia but his first trip to a Commonwealth nation since becoming King.

It’s also his first visit to Australia since 2018 when he opened the Commonwealth Games on the Queensland Gold Coast.

All State Premiers have been invited to the Canberra banquet, but not one has accepted to welcome Charles and Camilla at the reception, it’s reported.

Charles’ cancer treatment

Royal Editor for The Times Kate Mansey said on the Royals with Roya and Kate podcast that Charles will pause his cancer treatment during the trip, but pick it back up upon his return.

She said: “They’ve said he’s pausing his treatment during the tour, so they must be reasonably reassured that he can go that period of time.

“He’s been having treatment for quite some time now, since the beginning of the year, and on medical advice, he can pause it while he’s away and will resume it when he comes back.

“This doesn’t mean he’s finished his cancer treatment—there’s been no announcement on that point of view—but it is a sign that he’s perhaps well enough.”

Inside Charles' cancer fightback

By Matt Wilkinson, Royal Editor

IT was an announcement that sent shockwaves around the world – King Charles had cancer and would be stepping back from public-facing duty just 16 months into his reign.

For this no-nonsense, keep-calm and-carry-on Monarch — eldest son of the even more hard-headed Prince Philip — to admit he had to ease back on his workload meant one thing: it was bad.

Dutiful Camilla, 77, stood in for the King when he stepped back from a string of engagements including the Royal Maundy Service at Worcester Cathedral and a solo two-day visit to Belfast, both in March.

But fast forward just six months from the announcement and incredibly he is now fit enough to travel 10,000 miles for a gruelling tour of Australia and Samoa.

As one source close to the King, 75, told me: “The sun wasn’t shining in February but it is shining now.”

The King’s aides were keen to point out when he made his public comeback at a cancer hospital on April 30 that not all recovery programmes for cancer patients are the same.

Yet while he is “not yet out of the woods”, according to those in his inner circle, they add there is “great optimism” and treatment has gone “better than anyone would have thought”.

Today the details of exactly how the Royal Household put our much-loved Monarch back together again are revealed.

From exactly why he was pulled from duty to the pioneering treatments that meant he never lost his hair — and the real reason his wayward son, Harry, was given an audience of just 30 minutes.

Charles’ ordeal began in January when he revealed he needed a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate.

He decided to allow the public to know what he was going through, which resulted in a huge outpouring of sympathy.

Charles was touched by the public reaction but also significantly buoyed when it was revealed the NHS website received 11 times more daily visits from men with similar concerns.

But then his condition would take a turn for the worse.

Charles was due to spend two nights in the London Clinic — where Kate was also being treated — so when he spent a third night in care, people started to become concerned.

Those worries were realised when tests revealed cancer.

But rather than hide this devastating news from the public he decided that following the supportive reaction to his prostate diagnosis he would allow it to be made public.

A carefully constructed plan inspired by Operation Bubble which protected the late Queen from Covid-19 was thrown into action.

He would have weekly treatment in London and factor in vital periods of rest time at Sandringham, Highgrove and Windsor.

But his health plan was thrown into turmoil when Prince Harry announced he would jet from Los Angeles to see his father.

While the King delayed his helicopter flight from Buckingham Palace to Sandringham, his wayward son was given just 30 minutes of his company at Clarence House.

Plans were in place to avoid the King contacting a secondary infection and Harry flying 5,000 miles on a jet was not ideal.

Aides prevented Harry, 39, joining his father at Sandringham fearing “we’d never get rid of him” and he needed to reduce his social contact while undergoing cancer treatment.

During this time a Freedom of Information request revealed the Department for Culture and Media had begun procurement for the King’s potential funeral — although sources say this is not unusual.

Suggestions that William had been lined up as a potential Prince Regent if the King was unable to carry out the position have been denied by Buckingham Palace.

But the King was withdrawn from all public duty for 103 days although he continued reading government red boxes.

It can now be revealed the decision to postpone his public facing role was made as a “precautionary measure” because of the King’s diminished immune response to other diseases.

The Royal Household copied Covid-style protocols — or tiers imposed by the Government during the pandemic — to minimise secondary infection such as seasonal cold or flu.

A source said: “We had to minimise potential risk from other people, not because he couldn’t do the job.”

But as winter turned into spring and weather became warmer it meant they could relax the Covid-style tiers.

This was demonstrated when the King emerged from the Easter Sunday service and was greeted by 60 well-wishers at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Just days earlier, the monarch and his team had received news that the treatment had gone better than anyone could have expected.

One insider said: “He was raring to go after the positive results and didn’t want to hang around any longer.”

It meant the King told aides that a trip to Australia, seen as the most important tour a monarch will ever take, must go ahead in the autumn, as first revealed by The Sun.

The loved-up pair settled into a suite at Yankee Stadium to watch the American League Championship Series.

Swift and Kelce were seen cozying up as they wrapped up warm on a chilly New York night.

The couple flashed up on the TBS television feed in Game 1 of the series.

Swift was first spotted at a Kansas City Chiefs home game at Arrowhead Stadium last September.

They were first seen holding hands in public last October on a night out in New York.

Their public appearance at the Yankees game Monday comes almost a year to the day since then.

But he didn’t appear to be supporting either the Yankees or the Guardians on Monday.

There was speculation Kelce could propose to Swift at the Super Bowl earlier this year.

The music icon dashed across the world from a gig in Tokyo, Japan the day before to support her boyfriend.

Inside Bianca Censori’s close relationship with mom Alexandra despite Kanye West’s disturbing words about wife’s family

HER whirlwind marriage to world-famous rapper Kanye West has been a constant source of controversy.

Now Bianca Censori’s failing relationship with Kim Kardashian’s ex has put her mother Alexandra in the firing line.

Kanye is facing a legal battle with his former staffer[/caption]

New court documents accuse Ye of telling Bianca, 29, that he wanted to have sex with her mom.

Despite the disturbing comments about his wife’s family, Bianca remains close to Alexandra who has two other children, Angelina and Alyssia.

She lives in Alphington, a suburb in Victoria Australia, where she brought up her daughters with her husband Leo.

He was reportedly a well-known former gangster who Alexandra was warned against marrying by family and friends.

Leo has served time in jail following a conviction for possessing a prohibited heroin import and a loaded pistol.

Despite concerns raised by Bianca’s parents about her marriage to Kanye, he met his in-laws in July when he flew them out to Tokyo, Japan, with her siblings.

Alexandra is often seen with her daughter during frequent travels to the US.

She’s said to have been a constant support to Bianca as her relationship hit the rocks.

Alexandra this week said she “wouldn’t be drawn into the latest claims about her son-in-law” amid the lurid court claims.

Australian architect Bianca married Kanye in December 2022 – just a month after his divorce with Kim Kardashian was finalised.

However, the pair are believed to have split in recent months – with Kanye telling pals he wanted to be single.

The couple have not been pictured together since September 20.

It comes as Kanye’s ex-personal assistant Lauren Pisciotta filed a lawsuit against the rapper.

She alleges she was mistreated by him while working for him between 2021-2022.

West has previously denied her claims, saying any allegations from her are “baseless”.

The former OnlyFans model and Instagram star – who was West’s Chief of Staff at his company Yeezy – first sued him back in June.

A new 86-page filing with an LA court details how West would allegedly regularly claim he wanted to bed his partners’ mothers – something Pisciotta claims was an “obsession”.

The model claims that West showed her a text message exchange between himself and then-girlfriend Bianca Censori, who he later married in December 2022.

Kanye allegedly messaged Bianca on September 28, 2022 saying he wanted to have sex with her mother Alexandra, who was visiting from Australia at the time.

His statement added, “In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta.

“Prior to her termination as an assistant, Ms. Pisciotta stole his cell phone in an attempt to destroy phone records that would contradict her claims, all of which have been preserved.”

Kanye shares four children with his ex Kim – 11-year-old North, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and Psalm, five.

Diddy groped boy, 16, & said ‘don’t you want to break into the business?’, says lawsuit in first child sex assault claim

SEAN ‘Diddy’ Combs groped a teenage boy while teasing him with promises of success in the music industry, a lawsuit claims.

It marks the first child sexual assault claim against the disgraced rapper, who is already facing allegations of racketeering and rape.

Crowds mingle at one of Diddy’s infamous ‘white parties’ in California, 2009[/caption]

Six bombshell new claims were filed in a fresh suit against the musician in a New York City federal court on Monday.

Two were filed by women and four by men, one of whom says he was just 16 when Diddy allegedly assaulted him.

The unnamed John Doe claims Diddy groped his privates at a party in Long Island in 1998.

He said the rapper, aged 28 at the time, told him to remove his trousers during a conversation about breaking into the music business.

Diddy allegedly told him the sexual act was a rite of passage to becoming a music star, at one point asking him: “Don’t you want to break into the business?”

The Harlem-born artist is currently facing legal action from over 100 alleged victims after sex trafficking and racketeering charges were filed against him last month.

Some accuse Diddy of sexual assault at his infamous star-studded parties thrown in the Hamptons.

The fresh suits filed yesterday including allegations of rape, forced oral sex and drugging his alleged victims.

One of the other John Does claims he was “orally raped” by Diddy in a Macy’s store in May 2008.

He said he was in the stockroom when Diddy and three of his bodyguards entered.

The victim alleged he was struck in the back of the neck before Diddy proceeded to “forcefully, and brutally, orally rape the plaintiff”.

After the assault, the victim alleges Diddy and his bodyguards made threats towards him.

He claims he tried to report the alleged assault to Macy’s security but no action was taken.

Meanwhile, one of the Jane Does alleges Diddy raped her in a locked hotel room in 2004 after he invited her and a friend there for a party.

Diddy is currently being held in Brooklyn’s notorious Metropolitan Detention Center has been denied bail twice.

His trial date for the criminal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering has been set for May 5 next year.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges with his lawyer addressing previous claims.

He said the rapper “cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.”

An indictment released last month, however, alleges Diddy coerced and abused women for years with the help of a network of associates who helped him silence the victims through violence – including kidnapping and physical beating.

It alleges the rapper held sordid ‘Freak Offs’ that were fueled by drugs and left guests needing IV drips after going on for days.

Attorney Tony Buzbee said earlier this month that he is representing 120 accusers – including one who claims he was just nine years old when he was allegedly abused by the rapper – and warned: “the names will shock you.”

Buzbee said the allegations involve “many powerful people” and “many dirty secrets.”

He also noted that his team has “pictures, video and texts” to back up the claims.

“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors,” Buzbee told reporters.

If you or someone you know is affected by any of the issues raised in this story, call RAINN (Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network) at 800-656-HOPE (4673).

The number of allegations against Diddy began to spiral when a video showing the rapper beating his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel in 2016 was made public.

The Sun has reached out to Diddy’s legal team for comment.

Diddy's downfall

BY Forest McFarland, Senior News Reporter

BEFORE Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest on Monday night, it had been highly speculated that the rap star would find himself in custody after he was repeatedly hit with disturbing accusations – and had two of his mansions raided by the feds.

His mounting legal troubles finally came to a head on September 17, when he was charged with three federal counts, including sex trafficking, for allegedly forcing victims to take part in drug-fueled sex parties he called “Freak Offs.”

Hours before his arrest, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed the feds investigating Combs were secretly liaising with Tupac Shakur murder prosecutors on gangland activities.

The development also came after Combs was named 77 times in documents submitted by prosecutors in the Tupac murder case.

Aside from the Tupac probe, Combs was already facing a slew of lawsuits, including one he settled with his ex, Cassie Ventura, after she accused him of rape and abuse.

Disturbing hotel surveillance video from 2016 showed Combs chasing Cassie down and then punching, kicking, and beating her in a hallway.

Two months earlier, in March 2024, two of Combs’ mansions were raided by federal investigators, who seized three AR-15s, drugs, and 1,000 bottles of lube which were part of his “Freak Off” supplies.

In addition to his federal criminal charges, Combs also faces a handful of lawsuits with allegations of sexual assault, harassment, and sex trafficking dating back to the early 1990s.

Music producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones filed one suit in February 2024, claiming Combs forced him to hire sex workers and participate in sex acts while he worked on his latest album.

Combs has denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the federal sex trafficking charges against him, but his battle is far from over.

Iranian ‘traitor’ general REAPPEARS looking hunched and frail after ‘suffering heart attack during brutal interrogation’

IRAN’S top general has mysteriously reappeared in public after suffering an alleged heart attack during an interrogation by his own country.

Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, 67, was seen looking hunched over, frail and nervy for the first time in weeks after he vanished amid sensational claims accusing him of being an Israeli spy.

Qaani leads Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force[/caption]

His appearance on Iranian TV on Monday comes after he was reportedly forced to endure a brutal grilling by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Unconfirmed reports say the IRGC believed Qaani may have been responsible for Israel’s terror cull which saw a huge number of men eliminated in IDF strikes on Beirut.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was among those killed in Israel’s September 27 strike on a bunker with rumours of espionage quickly beginning to swirl.

Qaani disappeared shortly after a second deadly strike on October 4 – sparking claims that he was the traitor behind the incredible cull of Hezbollah’s top brass.

For weeks Qaani wasn’t seen or heard from – even by his family – as several sources started to claim he had been taken to a secret location for an interrogation.

He was later transferred to a hospital as reports suggested he may have suffered a heart attack while under lockdown by armed guards.

Qaani leads Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force and has since been confirmed to be “alive and in good health” by the regime.

The powerful military official has now been seen for the first time since his mysterious disappearance.

He appeared on state TV at a memorial service in Karbala, Iraq, for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps General Abbas Nilforoushan.

Nilforoushan was taken out alongside Nasrallah back in September’s bunker buster attack.

Footage of a frail looking Qaani shows him sat with other officials at the service in a black jacket with his grey hair and beard.

The general watches on with a tired stare as he sits with a hunched back and his eyes fixed on his lap for a short time.

He also appears very fidgety in the video with him moving around in his seat and his head nodding back and forth.

Qaani touches his face on several occasions in the short clip – once to stroke his facial hair and another time to wipe his eyes with a tissue.

The feared Iranian became head of the Quds Force – the IRGC’s overseas unit – after the US killing of its previous leader, Qassem Soleimani, in January 2020.

But ever since Israel succeeded in wiping out dozens of enemy commanders across the region with intelligence led assassinations many feared they had a man on the inside.

The October 4, blitz targeted a meeting of Hezbollah’s Shura Council in Beirut which include heir apparent Hashem Safieddine.

Safieddine was set to be the next in line for the top role in the terror organisation after Nasrallah was killed a week earlier.

Qanni was due to attend the council meeting after being invited by Safieddine and at first was thought to have been killed or wounded.

It later emerged that he pulled out of the meeting shortly before Israel struck again.

A Hezbollah source told Middle East Eye: “Israel targeted the venue of this meeting with a raid that was bigger and harsher than the raid that targeted Nasrallah.

“Safieddine’s head was what was wanted, and no one else.

“Qaani was invited to this meeting and under the current circumstances he should have been present.”

Due to the nature of the pinpoint Israeli strikes the IRGC launched an investigation into espionage from one its own.

The commander of an armed faction close to Iran said: “The Iranians have serious suspicions that the Israelis have infiltrated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

“Especially those working in the Lebanese arena, so everyone is currently under investigation.

“Nothing is certain at the moment. The investigations are still ongoing and all possibilities are open.”

Iran’s probe into Nasrallah’s death also focused on a potential mole inside the terror regime.

Nasrallah was killed by six enormous bunker-buster bombs as soon as he set foot in a meeting to join Qaani’s comrades.

Quds force commander Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan died alongside the terror chief and was thought to have set up the secret meeting with Nasrallah.

Nilforoushan had only just taken over from Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, who was killed in another Israeli strike on an Iranian consulate in Syrai in April.

Sources said Nasrallah had been outside Beirut’s southern suburbs the night before his killing, but returned to the area to meet with Nilforoushan in a secret operations room.

Nilforoushan, who had flown from Beirut from Tehran earlier, was taken directly from the plane to the bunker beneath in the Haret Hreik suburb.

A second source said: “The breach was 100 percent Iranian and there is no question about this part.”

It comes as fears are growing that Hezbollah may have found a way to beat Israel’s Iron Dome after a fatal drone attack on Sunday.

Hezbollah said it had targeted a base belonging to the IDF’s Golani Brigade with a “swarm of drones” and killed four.

It was the deadliest strike by the terror group since Israel launched its ground invasion of Lebanon nearly two weeks ago.

Tel Aviv has a world-class air defence system which has meant strikes to Israel have, for the most part, been inconsequential – until now.

Israeli investigators are trying to wrap their head around why the Iron Dome didn’t pick up the killer drone – as well as why air raid sirens failed to alert the Golani Brigade.

Who is Esmail Qaani?

IRAN'S top military commander hasn't been since an October 4 bunker strike in Beirut.

Esmail Qaan is an Iranian brigadier general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, appointed Qaani as the Commander of the Quds Force in 2020 following the death of General Qasem Soleimani was killed by a targeted U.S. drone strike near Baghdad International Airport.

During the Iran–Iraq War between 1980-1988, Qaani led the 5th Nasr Brigade and 21st Imam Reza Armored Brigade.

In 1981, he received his military training in Imam Ali Officers’ Academy in Tehran.

In the 1990s, he fought against Afghan drug cartels on Iran’s border with Afghanistan.

Qaani was appointed deputy commander of the Quds Force in 1997 and oversaw financial disbursements to paramilitary groups including Hezbollah.

Wacky disguise royal used to go incognito on ski holiday revealed – so can you work out who it is?

WHEN you are part of one of the most recognisable families in the world, having a private holiday can be a challenge.

However, one major royal once came up with a comical way of trying to go incognito on a skiing holiday in 1980.

The then-Prince Charles was enjoying some down time in Klosters, Switzerland, and decided to wear a ridiculous disguise to fool photographers.

He wore a large fake nose, moustache, glasses and a hat in a bid to conceal his identity on the slopes.

Often royal family members have an agreement that if they do an official photo call, they will be left alone for the majority of their trips.

Prankster Charles decided to turn up to his photocall in his light-hearted get-up and it certainly entertained crowds.

His ‘disguise’ ended up attracting more attention than if he had gone in normal attire, but showed his fun side.

King Charles isn’t the only family member to try and hide their identity from time to time.

When he was studying at the University of St Andrews, Wills called himself “Steve” in a bid to blend in with fellow students.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry also had a nickname which he used on a secret social media page.

His close pals used to call him Spike, and he had a Facebook page for four years under the pseudonym Spike Wells.

It was eventually shut down as it was deemed to be a security risk.

School names

Prince William and Kate Middleton are keen for George, Charlotte and Louis to have as normal an upbringing as possible at school.

The kids are said to use the surname Wales while studying to help them blend in with other children.

Prior to Queen Elizabeth II’s death, they were known as George Cambridge, Charlotte Cambridge and Louis Cambridge, but their parents’ new Wales titles have changed this.

Prince George told a stranger that his name is Archie in January 2019 – sparking a mystery over whether it’s a family nickname or his own choice.

George was out with his grandmother Carole Middleton when a dog walker came across him playing with his younger sister Charlotte in a stream near the Middleton family home in Berkshire.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's affectionate nicknames for each other

ROYAL editor Ingrid Seward told The Sun’s Royal Show that the Prince and Princess of Wales have some rather informal pet names for one another.

Speaking to The Sun’s Royal Correspondent Matt Wilkinson, she said: “Prince William was Big Willie, I think.

“Kate was Babykins, But people change their nicknames every time.”

Ingrid added that King Charles often refers to Queen Camilla as “darling” or “beloved.”

The woman, who did not want to be named, said: “I was asked by a police minder not to take a photo of the children, which I didn’t, but George started stroking my dog.

“To my astonishment he said ‘I’m called Archie’ with a big smile on his face. I don’t know why he calls himself Archie but kids often play with their names and I think it’s lovely.”

A source previously told Vanity Fair that George also went by the nickname of “P.G.” at school, standing for Prince George.

His parents are then said to have started calling him PG Tips or just “Tips” after the tea.

I starred in one of the biggest 00s shows – I have deep regrets over my behaviour before I was killed off says star

AN actor who starred in one of the biggest 00s shows has admitted regrets over his behaviour on set.

Although the hit series ran for six years, this cast member was killed off earlier on.

Ian Somerhalder played Boone Carlyle in the show’s early episodes[/caption]

Ian Somerhalder, 45, starred as Boone Carlyle in season one of ABC’s Lost.

For those unfamiliar, the show’s premise followed survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 after their plane crashed on a tropical island – on which they were then stuck.

Viewers will likely remember Boone for his questionable and, at times, contentious dynamic with stepsister Shannon (Maggie Grace).

Speaking to People, Ian reflected on his earlier career and admitted he hadn’t always been the most professional young actor.

He said: “I don’t think I would really change anything other than maybe with Lost.

“I maybe complained about craft service or something, showed up late twice, actually really late once.

“I was so tired from the night before, I slept through my alarms. That’s about as far as I can go.”

Boone was the first of many Lost characters to be killed off, having died near the end of season one.

The character suffered severe internal injuries while trying to retrieve a radio from a downed airplane.

Despite this, Boone had a few more appearances throughout the show, including in the controversial final episode.

Afterwards, Ian went on to play vampire Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries from 2009 to 2017.

It comes as Lost celebrated its 20th anniversary on September 22, which, in the show’s timeline, is when the plane crash took place.

The all-star cast also included Party of Five’s Matthew Fox, Marvel star Evangeline Lilly and Lord of the Rings’ Dominic Monaghan.

Meanwhile, Ian’s co-star Maggie Grace also opened up on her Lost exit, saying she was “devastated”.

The actress played Shannon Rutherford in the first two season before being accidentally shot by Ana Lucia Cortez (Michelle Rodriguez).

Lost's biggest episodes

By Conor O’Brien

Hit ABC drama Lost aired from 2004 to 2010, following the experiences of Oceanic Flight 815 survivors after they crashed onto an island. From dealing with polar bears to hostile native islanders, they certainly didn’t have an easy time of it.

Here are some of the show’s biggest episodes.

  • Pilot: Of course, the very first episode is crucial to any show. In this case, the two-part pilot episode introduced the characters, premise and setting – while also setting up stakes for the rest of the series.
  • Walkabout: Aired as episode four of season one, “Walkabout” focuses on the character John Locke (Terry O’Quinn) – who is central to one of the show’s biggest twists.
  • Numbers: The 18th episode of season one, this introduces viewers to the sequence 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 – a recurring sequence throughout the series.
  • The Constant: Widely regarded among the show’s best episodes, The Constant features Desmond Hume’s (Henry Ian Cusick) consciousness shift between 1996 and 2004, shifting between two different timelines.
  • The End: Lost’s often-considered polarising series finale. First airing in May 2010, the final scenes continue to divide viewers.

Maggie explained: “I thought they were gonna take her a little further. It’s still the worst heartbreak of my career. I was devastated!”

The star added: [She] was sort of a caricature of white privilege before that was a phrase, you know? And maybe I was just too good at my assigned job of being incredibly annoying,”

“I guess there were flashes of it, but not in the way I hoped in terms of an arc”, she said.

“That’s a selfish actor’s point of view. They definitely had bigger fish to fry.”

Lost is available to watch on Netflix, in the UK.

Fury as aquarium reopens with new star ‘whale shark’ attraction but outraged fans notice eerie problem…can YOU spot it?

VISITORS at an aquarium were left fuming after spotting something wrong with its star “whale shark”.

Fans demanded a refund on their £30 tickets over the bizarre creature – but it’s left many questioning what the problem may be.

The Xiaomeisha Ocean World in Shenzhen, China re-opened to much fanfare at the beginning of October after a five-year renovation – with fans excitedly waiting to see the brand new site.

The 60,000sqm sea park attracted around a whopping 100,000 visitors during its seven-day trial run.

But many were left feeling short-changed after its star whale shark turned out to actually be a robot instead of the real thing.

Snaps taken through the large tank’s glass show how the specimen is clearly a man-made imitation.

There are gaps in its body where different pieces of the machinery would have been joined together.

Visitors on site were angrily demanding their money back over the fake shark, reports claim.

One wrote in a scathing review: “The park isn’t big enough, even the whale shark is artificial.

“By 3pm, people were already calling for refunds on-site.”

Another reviewer wrote: “The most disappointing part was the whale shark exhibit.

“When I heard the name, I was full of anticipation, but when I arrived, I saw a mechanical whale shark.

“Even though it’s for the sake of animal protection, I’d rather they didn’t have one at all than show a fake one.

“It’s not interesting at all.”

Xiaomeisha Ocean World said it had put the robot on display because live whale sharks are now prohibited from being traded.

The whale shark – dubbed Rhincodon typus – is the largest known extant fish species.

The largest confirmed whale shark was an unbelievable 61ft8 long.

The mechanical likeness reportedly cost millions of Chinese yuan to build, according to What’s The Jam.

The same visitor also criticised the sea park’s live fish, writing: “The fish care was not professional enough.

“I noticed that some of the fish in the tanks had white spots.

“Most people wouldn’t notice, but anyone who’s kept tropical fish knows that’s white spot disease.

“Some of the fish didn’t appear to be in good health.”

Xiaomeisha Ocean World is not the first Chinese animal park to leave visitors feeling defrauded.

Meanwhile in a similar tale, another China zoo has been slammed for painting dogs to look like pandas in a bid to draw in crowds.

The rubbish dye job was quickly spotted before the Taizhou Zoo forced to admit the animals were chow chows instead.

A picture of a ticket shared on social media included a snap of the “new species” as the zoo charged £2.25 to see them during China‘s Labour Day holiday.

The dyed pets sparked a wave of complaints against Taizhou Zoo as furious visitors claimed they were mislead into believing they would see real pandas.

They also questioned whether painting the pups would constitute animal abuse as some dyes might contain harmful chemicals.

Taizhou Zoo later admitted that the “fake pandas” were in fact dyed chow chow pups who debuted their new look for the national holiday.

But despite the the confusing name, the zoo didn’t seem to be trying to fool guests into thinking the dogs were real pandas.

A signboard with pictures of “panda dogs” was put up at the zoo, indicating that the name is typically used to describe little dogs that, either naturally or by grooming, can resemble pandas.

A staff member said the zoo got the idea of dyeing the dogs into pandas online.

Drivers warned to avoid battery mistake that ‘destroys your car’ as weather cools down – $7 device can save you headache

DRIVERS have been warned over making a mistake with their car’s battery that can ruin their vehicle – especially as the cooler weather begins to hit.

Thankfully, an affordable device can go a long way to help avoid a tricky situation.

A car battery mistake can ruin your vehicle – but there’s a simple and affordable way to avoid it[/caption]

As the temperature outside begins to drop, so too does your vehicle’s battery power.

In cold weather, gasoline and diesel engines will require more battery power to start, and it may even be a good idea to get your car’s battery checked and possibly replaced before winter really begins to set in.

However, expert mechanic Scotty Kilmer, who has been working on cars for over 50 years, has revealed to viewers of his famous YouTube channel how cutting the power to your car can play havoc with its computer system.

Switching your car’s battery can destroy its data storage, which includes information such as your previous sat nav destinations, favorite radio stations and even your preferred seating position.

It can also store crucial data such as system updates and diagnostic history – which can have a major impact on your vehicle’s performance if lost.

Thankfully, Scotty picked out a simple and cheap device that can easily solve this issue.

He said: “If you’re going to change you car’s battery, here’s something you should do before you take it out.

“This little device saves it all.”

The device in question is a memory saver, which essentially just a long cable with an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) plug on one end and a pair of crocodile clips on the other.

For it to work, you simply put the OBD plug into the OBD port, which can usually be found underneath the glovebox, and connect the clips to a working 12V car battery.

Some even have adaptors on the clip end which allow you to plug it into the in-car cigarette lighter.

The OBD acts as a temporary power source for your car as you remove and replace your battery, and simply saves the memory by providing the power needed to keep your car’s settings intact.

These devices can be found for various prices online, with Scotty himself picking out an example from eBay for just $7.

In another video, the popular mechanic warned drivers over their speedy tendencies and how it may impact their car’s longevity.

In a YouTube short, the veteran mechanic explained how he got his Toyota SUV to run for over 300,000 miles.

Kilmer suggested drivers should keep an eye on several engine components, including the oil and filters.

He further explained how he changes components on his SUV every 5,000 miles, and how the consistent changes have helped him save money over the years.

Earlier this month, we revealed how drivers had been urged to pay close attention to three car parts as the weather begins to cool after a long period of hot weather.

As the nation saw one of its warmest summers on record, a seasoned mechanic has shared a step-by-step guide to handling the transition to Fall.

Elsewhere, a motoring expert has “debunked” some of the most common myths around the effects of rapidly changing weather on your car – and revealed what you should do instead.
