But the social media stunt went awry, local media reported, with the man falling to his death.

Local councillor Macarena Munoz confirmed the tragedy today and said climbing the bridge was “totally banned”.

She said: “We have made it clear on several occasions that it’s not something that can be done in any circumstances.”

The bridge stands over the Tagus River, 90 minutes southwest of Madrid.

The unnamed man is said to have been with an unnamed 24-year-old British man when he plunged to his death.

Footage from the scene of the tragedy showed police cordoning off the area near to where he fell.

The tragedy happened around 7.15am this morning.

National Police as well as local town-hall employed firefighters rushed to the scene with paramedics but there was nothing they could to save the Brit.

Meeting Paddy McGuinness

Paddy McGuinness and Christine McGuinness were married for eleven years

Christine and Paddy McGuinness met on a night out in 2008, shortly after she was crowned Miss Liverpool.

The couple’s relationship blossomed, leading to their marriage in 2011.

Their family life soon became a focal point, particularly after the birth of their three children: twins Penelope and Leo, and youngest daughter Felicity.

Christine wrote in her book A Beautiful Nightmare: “My husband, arm-in-arm with another woman.

“I felt physically sick. I ran to the toilet to vomit.

“Still to this day I can remember that absolutely awful pit-of-your-stomach feeling.

“I rang him that morning before I’d read too much about it.

“He didn’t answer, which is really unusual for him and in hindsight I think he regrets not picking up the phone.

“It quickly dawned on me the reason he’d decided to stay down in London.

“It was a bit of a heartbroken moment. I was absolutely devastated by these pictures.”

In 2023, Christine continued her advocacy work with the documentary Christine McGuinness: Unmasking My Autism, which garnered critical acclaim and a nomination for the National Television Awards.

Meghan Markle won’t EVER be forgiven for dissing royals – Harry must go it alone to salvage reputation

MEGHAN Markle won’t ever be forgiven for dissing the royals and Prince Harry must go it alone to salvage his reputation, an expert says.

Ingrid Seward said the Sussexes seem to be going in “slightly different ways”, having both appeared in public separately of late.

It comes amid rumours they maybe drifting apart and claims Harry is keen for a return to the UK.

And the expert said the Duke could very much still be forgiven, despite becoming a Black Sheep of the Firm after making multiple damaging allegations, particularly against brother Prince William.

“But I don’t see the same thing for Meghan,” Ms Seward added.

“Deep down people still love Prince Harry, and they want to love him, I think they’re just very, very disappointed in him.”

Referring to his bombshell memoir Spare, Ms Seward added: “He made millions out of it, but he seriously has paid for it, because it’s done his reputation an immeasurable amount of harm, especially with his family, but the way that people view him.”

But that may already be in the past, with Harry, who turned 40 last month, being described as “thriving” during his solo world tour, including snaps of him beaming as he greeted children in Africa.

And he was able to really loosen up in the US as he took a surprise tour of a haunted maze with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.

Meanwhile, Meghan, 43, attended LA Children’s Hospital this week looking more like she was in Hollywood actress mode.

A former pal, who was also in attendance, said the Duchess was only there briefly and bluntly claimed she needs Los Angeles more than the city needs her.

Ms Seward told The Sun of Meghan’s outing: “It did look very much as though she was just posing for the camera.

“She didn’t look like she was really involved in what she was doing.”

However, she admitted – with Meghan in a glamorous plunging red dress and her hair down – she is “striking out on her own in a purposeful way”.

The expert continued: “She wants to remind people that she is still around, although at the moment Harry is getting all the good publicity.

“I feel that they’re both going slightly different ways to see if it works.

“They’ve tried it together, and it didn’t work so well.

“So, they’re doing it separately to see how well it works.

“And then Harry puts a little tomfoolery into it as well by going into this house of horror.”

Ms Seward added: “It’s really good to see a glimpse of the old Harry… and, hopefully, it will resonate with him too.”

She was quick to couch her comments by saying seeing a couple acting separately doesn’t mean they are breaking up.

“It just means that they’re doing things in different ways on their own, which is eventually what all members of the Royal Family or members of any family do,” she said.

“They do things together, and then they do things on their own, so I’m not surprised about that.”

Prince Harry’s tattoo shop visit without Meghan is major hint couple could have separate plans for future, warns expert

By Summer Raemason

PRINCE Harry’s tattoo shop visit and upcoming solo trip without Meghan is a major hint the couple could have separate future plans, claimed an expert.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, was spotted at a tattoo parlour in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and stayed for over an hour yesterday.

It was also revealed Harry will be jetting to Lesotho and South Africa early next month without Meghan Markle.

This comes after the duke attended at a string of events in New York unaccompanied by his wife, who stayed behind in Montecito, California.

Their separate appearances, including Harry’s surprise TV stint and tour of a haunted maze on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, has sparked rampant speculation regarding their future together.

Royal expert Hugo Vickers hailed the upcoming Lesotho and South Africa trips.

He told The Sun: “I rather commend what he’s doing with this, because this is more outgoing.

“It’s like when he does things with the Invictus Games and things like that.

“But there seems to be a pattern forming, even in these last few days, that he is going out on his own and doing things.”

The expert suggested there could be multiple reasons for the divide.

“One could be that, you know. He does indeed wish to establish himself more as the old Harry,” he said.

“It could be quite simply that Meghan Markle has responsibilities with her young children, and therefore feels she has to stay at home with them.

But he added: “There is a separation of, you know, of their different engagements, and that he’s going to be going more solo, in which case watch this space.”

Meghan and Harry have put on a largely inseparable front since quitting the UK and moving to the States in 2020.

But Mr Vickers warned the duke may have grown tired of Meg’s presence – and the negativity it attracts.

“It always seems to me that when she’s around she’s dictating the narrative, and that he kind of is very compliant and just goes along,” he said.

“A lot of the things that he says publicly I have always suspected are dictated by her. So I do wonder a little bit whether he isn’t trying to establish himself more in his own right.”

However, the expert hinted Meghan could still be behind everything.

He said: “It could be that she commends this idea because it gives him more of a a profile and sort of ups his game, and therefore, when they go out together in public, they’re more valuable.”

On the future of Harry and Meghan’s relationship, Mr Vickers added “personally think it’s quite likely to not end too well for [Harry]”.

Regarding rumours swirling their marriage, the expert suggested they may stay together – to preserve their image.

“It is possible that they need to keep stay together to keep their brand,” he said.

However, it appears unlikely Harry is heading for a reunion with William anytime soon.

The Prince of Wales was seen on a royal engagement for the first time since Christmas with wife Princess Kate on Thursday.

The Princess of Wales is easing herself back into duties after last month announcing she is cancer free.

The couple greeted victims of the horror Southport attack, which saw three children killed at a Taylor Swift dance event.

Ms Seward said: “I don’t think William thinks too much about Harry at the moment.

“I think William’s got his plate very full with his own problems, his own work and the things he’s trying to achieve, and I don’t think that Harry crosses his his mental path at the moment.”

She added: “I don’t see them getting together at any time soon.

“I think they’re both too busy with their own lives.

“I’m not saying they won’t ever, but I don’t see it happening right now.”

The Sun has approached the Sussexes’ representatives for comment.
