1 day agoUSA UpdateComments Off on I want to leave gamer boyfriend – but I can’t give up the incredible sex
DEAR DEIDRE: IS great sex a valid reason not to dump my gamer boyfriend?
We’re both 25. We’ve been together for five years and our sex life is amazing.
You’d think we’d be bored with each other by now, but he only has to touch me and I want him.
Outside the bedroom, however, I just don’t seem to matter to him.
He’s always loved gaming but he got into Dungeons And Dragons over lockdown and now he’s obsessed.
If I don’t nag him to come to bed, he’d play online every night until 3am, or spend hours painting D&D figures.
I tried to indulge his fantasy on his birthday by dressing up as a sexy half-elf.
Instead of being turned on, he looked at me like I had gone mad.
Since then, I’ve left him to it but I’m feeling disconnected.
If the sex wasn’t so incredible, I’d have left years ago. But now I’m thinking about settling down and I don’t know if a good sex life is enough to sustain us forever. Should I continue?
DEIDRE SAYS: Many people become trapped in unsatisfying relationships just because the sex is so good.
But even though sex is important to a relationship, it can’t replace companionship, communication or love.
If you’re missing those things, you’re right to question things now, before you’re even more committed.
Can you find a moment when you are calm and quiet and let him know that you feel things aren’t right between you?
Explain that you’d like to spend more quality time together outside the bedroom, and that you miss him when he shuts himself away.
You can also ask if there’s anything he’d like to change about the relationship. He might have been bottling up some negative feelings behind his computer.
My support pack, How To Look After Your Relationship, explains how to consider each other’s feelings, and how to develop a stronger bond of trust. Read this together.
Give yourself a time limit for him to make some positive changes – a month or so. If things don’t change, you may have to accept he’s not the right partner for you.

1 day agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Marshalls confirms it will close down all 1,200 stores for entire day – and Macy’s won’t be any help
THERE’S less than a week to go until Christmas and Marshalls is the latest retailer to announce it’s closing for 24 hours.
All of its 1,200 stores will shut as part of the festive retail blackout – and you won’t be able to head to Macy’s for last-minute gifts either.
All Marshall locations will be closed on Christmas Day[/caption]
The retailer joins many others that are giving their colleagues the day off for the holidays[/caption]
It gives hard-working employees an opportunity to relax with their families and enjoy the festivities with everybody else.
For anybody still with shopping to do however it could bring problems.
The answer is to make sure all gifts are bought and wrapped by Christmas Eve, and while this is easier said than done, there is some leeway for last-minute purchases.
Most Marshalls locations are open from 7am until 10pm; in some states they’re open until 11pm and that’s seven days a week, giving consumers up to 15-plus hours each day to finish their festive shopping.
Early closure on Christmas Eve is likely – last year they closed around 6pm – so checking with your local store before setting out could save you a wasted trip.
SHUT FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Marshalls isn’t the only retailer closing for Christmas Day.
Many others are shutting their doors to celebrate the holidays.
They include Kohl’s, Target, Big Lots, JCPenney, Walmart and Costco, which are all closing for 24 hours to give employees much-needed time off.
Grocery stores also closing on the big day include Aldi, Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s, Winn-Dixie and Sam’s Club.
SO WHAT STORES ARE OPEN?
All is not lost if you suddenly find yourself missing a vital dinner ingredient or a guest turns up unexpectedly and you’re short of a gift.
There are some stores open on Christmas Day, though they may be working to shorter hours.
Giant, 7-Eleven, Walgreens, Circle K and Bravo Supermarkets will all be open to shoppers, as will selected Safeway locations.
For those intending to eat out, rather than spend the day cooking at home, then restaurants open for festive dining include Smith & Wollensky, Hooters, Benihana and Denny’s.
They can also pick up their favorite burgers at McDonald’s, pizza at Domino’s and a restorative coffee (after all that frantic present buying) at Starbucks, as they’re also not closing for Christmas.
Stores Closed on Christmas
Albertsons
Aldi
Big Lots
Burlington
Costco
Dollar General
Family Dollar/Dollar Tree
JCPenney
Kohl’s
Kroger
Lowe’s
Macy’s
Michaels
Publix
Rite Aid
Sam’s Club
ShopRite
Stop & Shop
Trader Joe’s
The Home Depot
Target
Walmart
Wegman’s
Whole Foods
Winn-Dixie
Again, make sure to check local opening times.
For consumers short on inspiration for gifts and stocking stuffers, Dollar Tree has great ideas for just £1.25 each.
They include body creams, beauty accessories, kids’ Christmas coloring books and festive socks.
Meanwhile, shoppers at Trader Joe’s are raving about the return of a favorite snack this Christmas.
The Hot Cocoa Polar Bear is filled with marshmallows and chocolate drops – and it makes a great gift for anyone with a sweet tooth.
1 day agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Prince Edward & wife Sophie were ‘unhappy’ at plans for them to share cottage with disgraced Prince Andrew at Christmas
PRINCE Edward and wife Sophie were “unhappy” at plans for them to share a cottage with Prince Andrew at Christmas.
The couple were said to be “less than pleased” when informed they would be bunking up with the disgraced Duke of York at Sandringham.

Yet their fears evaporated when Andrew sent back his invitation amid pressure to stay out of sight over the China “spy” scandal.
He is instead expected to spend the festive period in Windsor with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who has described herself as a “carer” looking after a “sad man”.
An insider said Edward and Sophie were disappointed last year when “effectively given the servants’ quarters” in Norfolk for the festive royal get-together.
The Edinburghs felt this year’s choice of Wood Farm — Prince Philip’s former hideout — was a “step up” but were unhappy at the thought of Christmas “cheek by jowl with the Yorks”.
The pair were “relieved”, the insider said, when Fergie “encouraged and cajoled” Andrew to stay away.
It had been suggested his decision was made easier as daughters Beatrice and Eugenie were due to spend Christmas with their in-laws and not at Sandringham.
However, Beatrice will now go to Norfolk with husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi and their daughter Sienna, two.
She is pregnant and they were advised it was safer not to fly abroad to see his family, it is understood.
The Fox NFL show brought on Brady and play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt who were both on the call of the divisional showdown in Baltimore.
Before the two analyzed the game, Fox NFL Pregame showed a clip of the show’s stars’ names on stockings for the Christmas season.
Two of the stockings also showed Burkhardt and Brady’s names, and host Curt Menefee informed TV viewers that the network made sure to add something specific to the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s stocking, which said ‘The Goat.’
“Tom Brady‘s stocking this year, we put some throat lozenges in [it] because the last couple of weeks [has] been a struggle [for him],” Menefee said as a video showed throat cough drops being placed into Brady’s stocking.
1 day agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Beatrice to join King Charles for Christmas at Sandringham in ‘change of plans’ after Andrew pulled out over spy scandal
PRINCESS Beatrice will join King Charles and the royal family at Sandringham this Christmas.
Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who are expecting their second child, will be joining in on the royal festivities after a “change of plans” as Andrew pulled out over the spy scandal.

Prince Andrew has been pulled out of the Christmas do[/caption]
The couple were planning on spending the holiday season overseas with the Edoardo’s family.
But it is understood she received medical advice which suggested she was not to travel long distances.
The royal baby, due in spring, will be a little brother or sister for the couple’s three-year-old daughter Sienna.
Beatrice and her husband also help raise his son, eight-year-old Wolfie.
Her sister Princess Eugenie and her family are planning on spending Christmas with her in-laws.
A large number of royals will be guests of the King and Queen at Sandringham on Christmas Day.
The Prince of Wales revealed recently 45 people will be “all in one room” at the royal residence.
However, Kate and Wills are understood to be skipping the Sandringham do.
He is due to attend the lunch at Buckingham Palace this Thursday – six days before the Sandringham do – but a source said: “He is under pressure to step away.”
The pair are said to be staying at Royal Lodge, in Windsor, for the period instead.
An insider said it’s hard to see the duke out in “public with the royals ever again”.
Yang Tengbo, 50 – who is understood to have been a “close confidante” of the Duke of York – can be named after a court anonymity ban was lifted this afternoon.
During a tribunal hearing, judges concluded Yang had not been honest about his links to the Chinese state and could exploit his relationship with the duke and other public figures.
The former chairman of Hampton Group had been in the country for two decades.
Photos show him posing alongside ex-Prime Ministers David Cameron and Theresa May, as well as the royal.
He was even invited to Andrew’s birthday party in 2020 and supported him through his recent scandals.
But the suspected spy subsequently lost an appeal against a decision to ban him from the UK on national security grounds.
He was stopped by counter-terrorism services in 2021 and ordered to surrender his devices.
Court documents said Yang had split his time between China and the UK and told officials he considered this country his second home.
In February last year, he was “off-boarded” from a flight from Beijing to London and told the home secretary was in the process of examining the case to exclude him from the UK.
Inside Prince Andrew's 'crumbling' Royal Lodge
THE disgraced Duke of York resides at the £30million Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, Berkshire - at least for now.
Despite his divorce from Sarah Ferguson in 1996, Prince Andrew lives with his ex-wife at the countryside estate.
Prince Andrew‘s royal residence, with its eye-catching white exterior, boasts 30 rooms with plenty of space for entertaining, plus seven bedrooms spread across the two topmost floors.
The Duke of York is said to spend all day “watching TV in a dark room” like a prisoner at his “crumbling” home.
Royal Lodge is said to “need extensive repairs”, thought to be about £400,000 a year.
The monarch is said to be becoming increasingly frustrated at Andrew’s refusal to care for the colossal mansion.
Andrew is said to have promised King Charles he would take care of its expensive repairs – despite having no apparent source of income.
That order was made the following month, with his appeal against the decision rejected last week by a special immigration appeals tribunal.
Judges concluded Yang had not been honest about his links to the Chinese state and could exploit his relationship with the duke and other public figures.
Guy Vassall-Adams KC, for Yang, told the High Court: “There has been an enormous amount of media reporting in relation to this story, and particularly in relation to the relationship between my client, H6, and Prince Andrew, as well as a huge amount of speculation about the identity of my client.”
Yang said he has “done nothing wrong or unlawful”, adding in a statement that the “widespread description of me as a ‘spy’ is entirely untrue”.
It comes after the Sun reported last week a foreign agent knew how to sneak people in and out of the duke’s Royal Lodge home.

Peter Mandelson is expected to try to enlist Nigel Farage to help charm Donald Trump and Elon Musk[/caption]
Nigel has a strong relationship with important leaders across the pond[/caption]
And he is on a mission to prevent Britain being clobbered by crippling tariffs.
Lord Mandelson has called on No 10 to “swallow its pride” and use Mr Farage as “a bridge to Mr Musk” and Mr Trump.
Reform Party boss Mr Farage is friends with both men and travelled to the US for talks with Mr Musk last week.
Speaking on his Times podcast last month, Mandy said: “If I were the Government here, I’d be asking the embassy in Washington DC to find out who his [Musk’s] other British friends are.
“Who are they all? They have got to be used as a bridge to Musk. And so that’s what I would do.
“Swallow your pride, find out who his friends are and try to get into those networks. You cannot just continue this feud indefinitely. You’ve got to get over it.”
He added: “I would include Nigel Farage. You can’t ignore him. He’s an elected MP.”
Mandy made the comments in November — when he was hot favourite to be US ambassador.
But he could face a hostile reception after he called Mr Trump a “white supremacist” in 2019.
The resurfaced comments sparked fury in the US — with Mr Trump’s campaign chief Chris LaCivita branding Mandy a “moron”.
