Love Island’s cast feud as some stars ‘barely speak’ and ‘distance themselves’ from show

THE latest series of Love Island only ended in July – yet cast friendships have already imploded.

Some Islanders “barely speak” anymore and others are desperate to “distance themselves” from the show.

Sources revealed to The Sun rifts have emerged within the cast, who were turned into social media influencers overnight when they entered the ITV2 show.

The hit reality series, that sees sexy singletons living in a luxury villa, finished its latest run in July, but friendships formed in Majorca are beginning to crumble.

A source told The Sun: “The Islanders have started to detach themselves from the whole experience.

“Some fans will go up to them and ask for pictures and their huffing and puffing like it’s an inconvenience for them.

“It’s also turned very clicky amongst the girls.

“You have the ‘Dollies’ which are Harriett, Samantha, Matilda, and Grace, and then the Casa Amor girls stay as a separate group.

“But it’s all about popularity, and people are sticking with who has the most followers.

Jessy Potts isn’t interested in all of that. She was close to Grace in the villa, but was concentrating on making it work with Joey when they left.

“Now she’s rarely seen with the other girls from her year.”

Out of dozens of Islanders who entered the show this year only three couples are still together.

Jessy has formed a close bond with Lucinda Strafford who entered the villa in 2021.

The reality beauty was also spotted out with Harriett’s ex Ronnie Vint.

They girls glammed up for a night out with Ronnie earlier this month and their photos caught the attention of fans.

“Jessy and Ronnie new couple???” one reacted on social media.

“Ngl Ronnie and Jessy would be something” another said.

Joey Essex and Jessy called it quits after two months and he has now been spotted on celebrity dating app Raya.

Runners up Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies are still an item, and so is Jess Spencer and Ayo Odukoya.

Uma Jammeh and Wil Anderson have also moved in together.

Kanye West takes out $2.2m bond on crumbling Malibu mansion in wife Bianca Censori’s name after he’s sued by contractor

Kanye West took out a $2.27 million bond on his former Malibu mansion in his wife’s name to cover the possible payout from a lawsuit brought by a disgruntled contractor.

The insurance policy, called a surety bond, was personally signed by Bianca Censori so that Kanye could offload the “rotting” beachfront home, which had been gutted and left empty.

Kanye finally managed to offload the property recently but lost millions after gutting it and leaving it empty[/caption]
Getty
Bianca Censori has been the name listed on some of Kanye’s property deals[/caption]

It means the bond total of $2,274,982 will cover the legal action by former security guard and project manager Tony Saxon, who had a mechanical lien placed on the property.

Saxon sued last September, claiming he was forced to sleep in “freezing conditions outside” during the grueling 24-hour, seven-days-a-week job.

According to court documents, he’s looking for $1,819,986 in damages and lost income after injuries sustained while working, which will be covered by Platte River Insurance Company’s bond.

Kanye may also be liable for Saxon’s attorney fees and costs.

A mechanial lien is a hold on the sale of a property until a person who remains unpaid for their work on a home has been properly compensated for their labor.

It’s used by laborers and contractors to ensure a home isn’t sold – and the money that should be used to pay them back spent – before they get their payday.

If a worker stays unpaid, it can also be used to force the sale of a home to cover their wage.

But in this case, Kanye was able to force to sale by using the bond as a backup option to cover the fees Saxon is demanding.

The rapper finally sold the crumbling pad for $21 million last month – taking a staggering $36 million hit – but had to pay for the bond, otherwise the sale wouldn’t have gone through.

It now appears Kanye, now known as Ye, has saddled his wife to deal with matters relating to the pad.

Kanye reportedly wanted to turn the house into a “bomb shelter” with no electricity or windows, according to the complaint.

Saxton alleged that Kanye fired him for refusing to do various demolition projects that he felt were unsafe.

‘WRONGFUL TERMINATION’

Saxton worked for Kanye for two months, with the rapper allegedly promising to pay him $20,000 a week.

According to the lawsuit, he also regularly worked 16-hour days and often more, and Kanye still owes him money.

Saxton is suing Kanye for multiple labor code violations, unpaid wages, and wrongful retaliatory termination.

Bianca is the sole representative for Shore Drive Holdings, which was the LLC set up for the house purchase.

She is also named as the co-manager for his other business, Oxpaha.

Kanye managed to finally offload the Malibu house after gutting it and leaving it to rot.

The home sold for about $36.3 million less than what Kanye paid for it in 2021.

Kanye, 47, first listed his beachfront home for sale in December 2023.

In January, Ron Zambrano, a partner at the West Coast Employment Lawyers, filed a mechanics lien on the property on behalf of Saxton.

“We just want to make sure he has enough money to pay the more than $1 million he still owes our client before he goes completely broke,” Ron told the Hollywood Reporter.

“So in this case, if someone wants to buy Kanye’s Malibu home, they’ll have to deal with us first. That sale cannot happen without Tony being paid.”

The mystery new buyer was revealed to be a California-based real estate crowdfunding firm Belwood Investments.

Kanye West's homes

Kanye West owns multiple homes across California and Wyoming, two of which have fallen into disrepair.

The firm reportedly plans to spend millions of dollars restoring the home, which could take more than a year.

Selling Sunset star Jason Oppenheim, co-owner of The Oppenheim Group, represented the sale.

The U.S. Sun can also reveal that Kanye’s company, Yeezy Enterprises, has been stung with a $883,197.33 tax lien from the State of California for unpaid taxes from January 2021 through September 2022.

This includes a $247,737 penalty and $93,635 interest.

The firm was initially set up in Cody, Wyoming, in 2020, but its registered office has since moved to La Palma, California

BUSINESSES IN TROUBLE

Kanye’s other businesses are also in a bad state.

Yeezy Record Label is not in “good standing” after its agent and only representative, Jeannette Jones, resigned on October 7 – and the annual statement is late.

It’s the same for Ox Paha Inc., from which Jones has also resigned.

Meanwhile, Yeezy Construction has been suspended by the State of California and has a $12,425 tax lien against it.

In July, The U.S. Sun revealed that Kanye’s firms already owe just over $1 million from tax liens and property tax lapses.

Despite his financial problems, it seems the star won’t be running out of money any time soon as he continues to tour and book gigs in China.

Former Wimbledon champ and world No1 MARRIES fan after he stopped her in park to wish her ‘good luck’

A FORMER Wimbledon champion and world No1 has married a fan who stopped her in a park to wish her “good luck”.

Garbine Muguruza was approached by Arthur Borges in a freak meeting at the US Open in 2021.

The Tom Ford model spotted the Spanish tennis ace and they immediately fell for each other.

Borges got down on one knee and popped the question during a romantic trip to Marbella in May last year.

And now, just months after her retirement from tennis, they have tied the knot.

Approximately 90 guests were invited from all over the world – including from Los Angeles, Miami, Sweden, Finland and Dubai – with Muguruza’s former coach Conchita Martinez and ex-doubles partner Carla Suarez Navarro among them.

The ceremony in Marbella last weekend was conducted in four languages – Spanish, English, Swedish and Finnish.

Muguruza – who celebrated her 31st birthday on Tuesday – told HOLA! in Spain: “It’s a total movie.

“I was inspired by the golden age of Hollywood, by those dresses worn by Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor, which are elegant and beautiful and flattering.

“I knew I would marry him even before he asked me.

“When we met, it was love at first sight and we realised very quickly that we were an ideal couple.

“Even though he hadn’t told me anything, I imagined Arthur dressed like that, because I knew he was going to go traditional.

“He looked gorgeous. When I saw him at the altar I thought, ‘Oh, my man is so handsome’.”

Muguruza previously opened up on the first time she set eyes on her future husband in New York.

It is understood they even took a selfie together which is framed in their house.

She explained: “My hotel was close to Central Park and I was bored, so I thought I should go for a walk.

“I go out and I run into him on the street.

“Suddenly, he turns and says ‘Good luck at the US Open.’ I was left thinking, ‘Wow, he’s so handsome.’

Wimbledon ditching line judges a double fault for British tennis

By Joshua Jones

THE absence of line judges at Wimbledon will be a sad sight.

For as long as I can remember, the men and women decked out in their Ralph Lauren outfits have been part of the furniture at the All England Club.

Yes, they provided some mild entertainment on the court when one would call “fault” with plenty of extra, and unnecessary, gusto and volume that boomed around Centre Court, prompting a snigger from the fans.

Then there was the ongoing game of dodgeball they had to play when a big serve nailed a mammoth ace down the line and they had to take rapid evasive action or take a whack to the top of the head.

And challenges provided some audience participation, excitedly joining in the clapping countdown before the inevitable “oooh” when the graphic showed just how close the ball was to landing in or out.

Purely objectively, Wimbledon’s decision to replace line judges with Hawk-Eye Live makes total sense.

The accuracy and consistency of calls in real-time will speed things up, save time and should mark the end of arguments over the tight incorrect calls – well, until the technology malfunctions.

And Wimbledon’s hand was somewhat forced to ditch tradition for their standing in tennis.

The Australian Open and US Open already use electronic line calling and the ATP Tour is adopting Hawk-Eye Live across all of its tournaments from 2025.

Wimbledon’s refusal to comply would leave them lagging behind and exposed to the threat of needless controversy over human error.

But the impact – as is so often the case in these decisions – has ramifications further down, below the surface with very little impact on Wimbledon’s Championships or the players.

It is on the line judges themselves.

Approximately 300 officials – aged from 18 to 80 – covered more than 650 matches at Wimbledon.

A fraction travel internationally with the circuit but the vast majority of those are part-time line judges based in the UK, earning up to £180 per day to work at the prestigious tournament and their chance to play their part at Wimbledon.

For many, they will help out at British tournaments throughout the year, spurred on by the possibility of taking to the lawns of the All England Club.

But it is understood many of those officials would be reluctant to work at the lower-level tournaments without the carrot of Wimbledon dangling in the summer.

That in turn will put a major stumbling block in the pathway for British tennis umpires, who grind up through the ranks to reach the pinnacle of the sport.

Like football with referees, tennis needs umpires and line judges.

So the inability to call “out” at Wimbledon could prove to be a major “fault” for the future of the UK’s tennis officials and therefore the state of the sport on these shores.

“He’s a mix, like me. I’m half-Venezuelan and half-Spanish, so we understand each other. We share that feeling of being citizens of the world.”

Muguruza thrashed Venus Williams in the 2017 final at the All England Club, adding her Wimbledon crown to the French Open title she collected the previous year when she beat Venus’ sister Serena.

She lost two further Grand Slam finals – at Wimbledon to Serena in 2015 and then to Sofia Kenin at the Australian Open in 2020.

But former world No1 Muguruza announced her retirement from tennis this year.

The injury-plagued Spanish star had already taken an extended break from the sport and decided against making a comeback.

Part of her reasoning behind the initial hiatus had been to spend more time with loved ones – and can now enjoyed married life with her new hubby.

However, she remains involved in tennis as the new tournament director for the WTA Finals, the end-of-season event for the top eight players in Riyadh in November.

Donald Trump ‘banned from playing golf by Secret Service as they fear they can’t protect him from assassination’

DONALD Trump has reportedly been banned from playing golf by the Secret Service.

The top federal agents fear they cannot protect the Republican presidential candidate on the vast fairways of golf courses.

It comes after two attempts on Trump’s life during the campaign – which has already seen drastic changes to his rallies and protection.

Trump has not played golf since the attempt on his life in September – and won’t do so again until after November 5, reports Sky and NBC.

The 78-year-old former president has been told by the Secret Service they are not satisfied he can be well protected enough if he plays.

The agents – who are charged with the protection of presidents, former presidents and candidates – have previously admitted to being overstretched.

Being a keen golfer who owns 18 courses worldwide, the apparent ban represents a major change for Trump.

If he sticks to the ban – it will be the longest he has gone without playing since the pandemic.

Trump reportedly had a conversation with Secret Service boss Ronald Rowe and other intelligence officials about the decision.

It is claimed Trump has a handicap as low as 2.8.

He has golfed at least once a week since he left the White House in 2021 after losing the 2020 election to Joe Biden.

And during his presidency is estimated to have played 261 rounds of golf to help himself keep active.

Trump dodged an assassin at Trump International Golf Club last month when suspect Ryan Wesley Routh was seen scoping out the course with a rifle.

He was fired upon by Secret Service agents and fled.

He was later arrested after being pulled over on Interstate 95.

Trump is currently locked in a tight presidential race with his Democrat rival – current Vice President – Kamala Harris.

Poll tracking service 538 currently has Harris enjoying a 2.5 per cent national lead over Trump.

But the margins are so tight in swing states that the race is widely understood to be too close to call.

Trump has repeatedly blamed Democrat rhetoric about him for the heated environment around the election.

It comes as last week a defiant Trump returned to the scene of where he was grazed on the ear by a bullet back in July.

He stood behind a bullet-proof screen and was joined by his pal billionaire X boss Elon Musk.

After returning to the site, Trump pledged never to quit, “not even in the face of death itself”.

He said: “We fought together. We have endured together. We have pushed onward together.

“And right here in Pennsylvania, we have bled together. We’ve bled.”

The former president’s face was left spattered with blood when a sniper’s bullet grazed his ear in the shocking act of violence.

Gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks was shot dead by Secret Service snipers moments later.

Trump said: “Exactly 12 weeks ago… on this very ground, a cold-blooded assassin aimed to silence me and to silence the greatest movement.

“For 16 harrowing seconds during the gunfire, time stopped as this vicious monster unleashed pure evil from his sniper’s perch.

“But by the hand of Providence and the grace of God, that villain did not succeed in his goal. Did not come close.

“He did not stop our movement. He did not break out our spirit.”

Exact date to make your gold coin worth $97,200 and the ‘thick’ detail that increases its value even more

A GOLD coin may be worth thousands of dollars if you look for the right details.

In Mint State condition, a $20 gold coin is worth an impressive $97,200, according to recent auction data.

The 1908-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle is a rare $20 gold coin with a low mintage of only 22,000 pieces, making it highly sought after by collectors
2020 Heritage Auctions
Its value in MS66 condition has reached $97,200, driven by both its rarity and visual appeal

The 1908-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle ($20 gold coin) has long captured the attention of gold collectors, but what truly elevates this coin to a high-value status is its combination of rarity and aesthetic appeal.

The 1908-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle boasts a mintage of 22,000 pieces, making it one of the lowest-produced coins in the entire Saint-Gaudens series.

In fact, it’s the rarest “With Motto” coin in this line.

To put that in perspective, of the 1,100 coins certified by grading giants NGC and PCGS, a large percentage — about 66% — exist in circulated conditions, Heritage Auctions reports.

Only a fraction of these coins, roughly 244, have survived in Mint State conditions, most of them between MS60 and MS62, leaving only about 45 coins graded as Gem-quality or higher (MS65 to MS67).

WHY IT’S WORTH SO MUCH

For a coin to reach the $97,200 mark, it needs more than just rarity—it needs visual excellence.

The MS66 version of the 1908-S Saint-Gaudens is a collector’s dream, thanks to its honey-gold patina, with hints of mint-green, rose, and apricot hues.

This thickness in the frost, a highly sought-after characteristic, gives the coin an extra layer of appeal.

These frosty surfaces combined with sharp, detailed designs, particularly on Liberty’s features, the Capitol building panes, and the eagle’s plumage, contribute to its premium status, per the auctioneering site.

IMPORTANCE OF CONDITION

Mint State coins are graded on a scale from MS60 to MS70, with higher numbers indicating fewer blemishes.

The difference between a coin graded MS65 and one graded MS66 may seem slight to the untrained eye.

However, to collectors and investors, it’s everything.

At MS66, the 1908-S coin represents the pinnacle of preservation and aesthetics for this issue.

Small imperfections — like faint marks on Liberty’s breast or the eagle’s left wing — are almost negligible.

How coins are graded

Coins are graded on a scale of one to 70, with one being the poorest grade, and 70 being the most pristine example.

Numbers 60 to 70 are generally the most sought-after by collectors and are known as Mint State coins.

Pieces that fetch thousands at auction are commonly found in MS67, MS68, and MS69 conditions.

An MS-70 is near-impossible to find among older coins.

AUCTION DATA

Over the years, this coin has consistently proven its value at auction.

A similar MS66 coin was sold during the Long Beach Signature auction in 2009 and later in the Dallas Signature auction in 2017.

Its value has only risen since, showing the demand for high-quality, low-mintage gold coins is evergreen.

If you’re fortunate enough to own a 1908-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, it’s worth keeping a close eye on market trends.

The coin’s value is supported by its low mintage, exceptional condition, and the particularly “thick” frost detail that collectors adore.

While the coin’s worth today is pegged at $97,200, its rarity and visual appeal may well push it even higher in the future.

Bill Belichick is not the answer for Jacksonville Jaguars, claims MJD as he calls on $200m QB Trevor Lawrence to step up

BILL Belichick is not the answer to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ problems, Maurice Jones-Drew said.

The former New England Patriots head coach is said to be targeting a return to the sidelines next season.

But Jags legend Maurice Jones-Drew told The Sun that he would not be able to wave a magic wand over the franchise.

MJD spoke to SunSport before the Jags finally managed their first win of the season against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday.

They traveled to London for games against the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots with a 1-4 record.

And Jones-Drew, 39, urged his former team to not make a knee-jerk decision with Doug Pederson at head coach.

“I’ve heard the Bill Belichick thing,” he told The Sun. “But I believe there needs to be time.

“I’m not a big fan of “he’s been there two years, he needs to go.”

“You’re never going to win that way – consistency is the key.

“As much as I love Bill Belichick, I think he’s one of the greatest coaches in the game, he hasn’t been that good without Tom Brady.

“You may jump into it and say Bill’s the guy – but what if he’s not the guy?

“And now you’ve set yourself back more years when you’ve had success with Pederson.”

Jones-Drew spent eight years in the league between 2006 and 2014 – seven of them with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He was a three-time Pro Bowler and led the league in rushing yards in 2011.

The Jags started this season 0-4 and there were calls for both head coach Pederson to be fired and quarterback Trevor Lawrence to be benched.

Pederson won the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018 and took up the Jags hot seat in 2022.

Lawrence, meanwhile, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

London calling

The New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings kick off the NFL's annual run of London fixtures.

New York and Minnesota face off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday October 6 at 2.30pm local time – 9.30am ET for fans back home in America.

It is the first of three straight NFL Sundays that begin with an early game live from London.

The following week, Tottenham also plays host to the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Chicago Bears.

And on October 20, the Jags will head across town to Wembley Stadium to take on the New England Patriots.

He signed a five-year contract this summer worth $275 million with $200 million of that guaranteed.

Jacksonville has finished 9-8 in both of Pederson’s seasons in charge.

“Every year is different,” MJD said.

“What you did a couple years ago, winning the Super Bowl, doesn’t translate to the next year.

“Doug Pederson got fired by the Eagles two years after he won the Super Bowl.”

Jones-Drew added, “The quarterback is going to get the blame when things go bad, they’re going to get the praise when things go good, that’s why they get paid all the money.

“You’re getting paid $200 million something dollars – there’s no such thing as too much pressure.

“Lawrence has to show up and be the leader in those times and galvanize the locker room.”

Who is Victoria Monet?

Victoria Monet was born on May 1, 1989, in Georgia, US.

She was raised in Sacramento, California, where she discovered her passion for performing arts at a young age.

Victoria started out singing in her church’s youth choir and participating in a city dance team, laying the foundations for her future career.

Her professional journey began in 2008 when she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams.

Victoria’s big break came when she met producer Rodney Jerkins, who included her in a girl group called Purple Reign.

Although the group’s deal with Motown fell through, this setback didn’t deter her.

Instead she pivoted to songwriting, which became her primary source of income while she developed her solo career.

Songwriting success

Victoria’s songwriting prowess quickly gained recognition in the music industry.

She collaborated with a number of high-profile artists including T.I., B.o.B., Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Chloe x Halle, Chris Brown, and Brandy.

However, her most significant songwriting partnership has been with Ariana Grande.

Their collaboration began with Ariana’s 2013 debut album Yours Truly and continued through subsequent albums, culminating in the massive hit Thank U, Next in 2018.

After the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting and Dallas Police shooting, Victoria also worked with Ariana to release Better Days.

Emotions ran high as pair performed the song at the One Love Manchester concert, which was watched by millions.

The song is a hopeful plea for a better world, and contains the lyrics: “I’m praying for the people right outside our window.

“Hoping they find peace at night, just like you and me.”

Solo career and breakthrough

While building her reputation as a songwriter, Victoria simultaneously worked on her solo career.

She released several EPs including Nightmares & Lullabies: Act 1 in 2014 and Life After Love, Pt. 1 & 2 in 2018.

However, it was her 2020 EP Jaguar that marked a turning point, receiving critical acclaim for its innovative production and cohesive storytelling.

Victoria’s career reached new heights with the release of her debut studio album Jaguar II in 2023.

The album became her commercial breakthrough, supported by the hit single On My Mama, which peaked in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.

Her success led to seven nominations at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in 2024.

She took home three Grammys: Best New Artist, Best R&B Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

Personal life and motherhood

In 2020, Victoria welcomed her daughter, Hazel.

Hazel has already made history as the youngest Grammy nominee ever at just two, thanks to her laughter featured on her mum’s track Hollywood (2023).

Motherhood has played a significant role in Victoria’s artistic rebirth, giving her new purpose and determination to elevate her career.

Stormzy connection

Victoria was photographed with British rapper Stormzy at London’s Heathrow Airport.

The Sun’s exclusive pictures show Stormzy, 31, and Victoria, 35, on the evening of Thursday, October 10, 2024.

The 6ft 5in star grinned as he gave Victoria a hug before kissing her on the lips.

An onlooker said: “Both Stormzy and Victoria looked absolutely smitten with each other.

“They kissed and when he hugged her he picked her up in the air.

“It seems like he is in a great place after his split from Maya.

This encounter came just months after Stormzy’s highly publicised split from TV presenter Maya Jama.

In September 2024, Victoria also announced that she had split from her fitness instructor boyfriend John Gaines in late 2023, who whom she shares three-year-old daughter.
