Britney Spears admits that she doesn’t react well when she sees people writing toxic things about her on the internet.
The iconic pop star shared an Instagram post on Friday, December 20 detailing why she decided to take down one of her most recent dance videos.
“I took the video of myself dancing down because so many people said so many mean things… if they only knew how severe my sadness is,” Spears revealed in her Instagram post. “It is a f**king miracle from God that I played and danced, period. It is insane!!!”
Along with the post, she shared a video of a boat excursion she took to be by the water. The post also had several photos that she took while out and about, including some of her that had been turned into memes.
Spears continued to defend the dance videos she so often posts.
“There’s so much I haven’t even shown but it saddens me people say mean things about meI’m so damn sick of people saying they are concerned and if you don’t like the way I move, f–k off and don’t watch it !!!” she wrote.
This isn’t the first time Spears has been vocal about her haters – which includes Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, who has since apologized to the singer after declaring that she should not “do the same f**ing dance every day” and to “change a few movements.” Abby Lee Miller from Dance Moms also took some shots at Spears in the past, calling her dance videos cringe.
Spears recently celebrated her 43rd birthday shortly after declaring her divorce from model Sam Asghari official. The former couple were rumored to be dating as early as 2016, but didn’t publicly announce their relationship until 2017. Asghari proposed to Spears in 2021, and the duo married in 2022. Spears and Asghari separated in August of 2023, and a divorce was later filed in the month by Asghari.
