You simply unwrap the frozen turkey and place it in the oven for approximately five hours.
Butterball says there’s no need for basting, brining, or seasoning – though you might want to add some for extra flavour.
The turkey is prepared with a “specially formulated” brine to keep the meat moist during cooking.
However, the company advises that stuffing or dressing be made separately, as cooking it inside the turkey could pose food safety risks.
Additionally, the turkey should not be deep-fried.
The new “cook from frozen” turkey will be available at major grocery retailers, offering a convenient option for your festive meals.
It can be stored in the freezer for up to two years, meaning you can stock up for the next few holiday seasons if you want to.
Butterball offers fresh and frozen whole turkeys in various sizes to suit different meal plans across Thanksgiving and Christmas.
