Cash-rich European club ‘make contact’ with Celtic star who could make way for huge January transfer target

CELTIC knew they might lose Alex Valle sooner than planned if Barcelona decided to recall him from his loan.

But now a cash-rich European club have swooped in with strong interest to take him away from both Glasgow and Spain, according to a report.

Valle has split game time with Greg Taylor in the left-back position this season for Celts.

But with a possible return for Hoops hero Kieran Tierney in the offing, Barca will be well aware that three doesn’t go into one.

With that in mind Serie A outfit Como have made contact over the 20-year-old, reports Fabrizio Romano.

It’s being claimed Como see the young Spaniard as a top talent and that Tierney’s impending arrival on the cards, Barca would consider sending him to another club on loan.

Como, who were declared bankrupt as recently as 2017, were bought over by Indonesian tobacco billionaires Robert Budi Hartono and Michael Bambang Hartono.

With their financial injections the club have welcomed several high profile players including Pepe Reina, Andrea Belotti, Alberto Moreno and Sergi Roberto.

Arsenal and Spain legend Cesc Fabregas is the current head coach of the team and they shot from the fourth tier of Italian football to the top flight in five years.

SunSport was ahead of the rest in revealing the news that Tierney could be on his way back to Celtic Park.

Valle has made 17 appearances for the Hoops under Brendan Rodgers this season across all competitions.

He has a contact at the Nou Camp until 2026 but has yet to make a senior appearance for the Blaugrana.

Meanwhile, a pair of Premier League sides have reportedly shown interest in Hoops youngster Daniel Cummings.
