STRICTLY judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse broke down in tears this evening as they watched Chris McCausland’s show dance.
The comedian, who is the first blind contestant to appear on the show, wowed the audience and those watching at home with his high energy performance to New Radicals’ 1998 hit You Get What You Give.
Head judge Shirley struggled to hold back her tears and told him how emotional she was by it.
Shirley praised him for “breaking new ground” and said that “things don’t need to be perfect to be special”.
Judge Anton Du Beke said that he is probably the “most extraordinary” person in the 20 years of the show, but admitted he was not a perfect dancer.
The pair were given 38 points by the judges.
Chris thanked the public “for voting for him”, as he admitted he would not be in the final without them.
Earlier in the evening, Chris recreated his “blackout moment” as he did his couple’s choice routine – to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon.
Shirley told him it was a “genuine improvement” after they performed the dance in week eight.
Motsi said “watching you dance is so, so incredible”, noting that he does not have the “orientation” to see that he is spinning Dianne around on his shoulders in the dark.
In the routine, Chris can be seen placing his hands over Dianne’s eyes as the room faded to black, before the ballroom went dark and then the light comes back on with pyrotechnics flaring in the background.

MAYA Jama may leave Love Island — and Maura Higgins could replace her.
Sources say Maya, 30, is likely to walk away after next summer’s ITV2 series.
Maura Higgins could be lined up to replace Maya[/caption]
Meanwhile, Irish beauty Maura, 34, who appeared as a contestant in 2019, has been making waves across the Atlantic hosting Love Island USA: Aftersun.
A TV source said: “Maya adores hosting Love Island and thinks it’s a great fit for now.
“But she’s keen to leave on a high and keep her career moving forward on the right tracks.
“She is incredibly ambitious and would like to keep focusing on primetime presenting opportunities. She also has hopes of working in America and doesn’t want to be tied down.”
If she does go, bosses at ITV think Maura would be the perfect replacement, the source added.
They went on: “She has been building up her skills as a presenter and is very much part of the Love Island family. She also has the unique perspective of having appeared herself as a contestant.
“She’s just also had a successful stint on I’m A Celeb so the world is her oyster now.”
Maya, who famously dated Brit rapper Stormzy, 31, for several years, took over from Laura Whitmore as Love Island presenter in January 2023 , hosting two series a year ever since.
Accounts for her MIJ & Co Entertainment Ltd filed to Companies House show it holds cash deposits of £1.8million and has investments of £416,000.
She also paid a whopping corporation tax bill of almost £500,000, meaning a taxable income of around £2.5million.
Speaking last year, Maya, who was previously engaged to Basketball player Ben Simmons, 28, said she was still looking for love: “Actual love. That’s all I ever want. Just real love. I want a best friend that I’m in love with. And I have had that before.”

Super-sub Anthony Elanga sealed a dramatic comeback for Forest[/caption]
Jhon Duran’s looping header gave Villa the lead[/caption]
Duran took his opportunity on a rare Premier League start[/caption]

Unai Emery‘s men thought they had the three points all wrapped up when Duran bulleted a header from John McGinn‘s cross beyond Matz Sels, one day after celebrating his 21st birthday.
But it was Forest who were partying at full-time after stunning Villa with a classic comeback to move above Manchester City into fourth place.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side simply refused to accept defeat as they gatecrashed Duran’s celebrations to rock their Midlands rivals.
Not even the disappointment of a Chris Wood disallowed goal for offside could halt Nuno’s Forest fighters.
Milenkovic headed them level three minutes from full-time and – as Villa reeled – it was inspirational sub Anthony Elanga who pounced to add a second, three minutes into stoppage time.
It was a fabulous finish, just as we were beginning to think Forest and Villa had served up a Saturday night stinker.
The first half was a slow burner to say the least.
Both of these Euro hopefuls played as if they were playing away from home in Europe in the days when away goals counted double.
Because they gave the impression they would happily have settled for a goalless draw from a long way out.
The problem was Villa seemed content to hit on the break too.
So we sat back and waited for the action to begin …. and we waited …. and waited.
Duran and Ryan Yates swapped shots which they blazed over at either end.
Then Neco Williams picked out Chris Wood at the back post but the Kiwi striker‘s header across the face of goal went begging because none of his teammates had gambled on picking off an easy finish.
Nikola Milenkovic levelled it for Forest in the 87th minute with a towering header[/caption]

Elliot Anderson crashed a shot off Boubacar Kamara‘s knee and Murillo rose to get on the end of an Anderson corner, only to shoulder his effort wide.
The only mildly controversial moment came after 34 minutes when Anderson grabbed hold of Morgan Rogers wrist as the forward burst into the Forest box, causing him to tumble.
But VAR John Brooks agreed with referee Sam Barrott’s assessment that contact was only fleeting, as the pair of officials decided against risking any form of excitement!
Ezri Konsa then glanced a John McGinn free kick wide before we were treated to the first shot on target… in first half stoppage time!
Even then Matty Cash’s attempt from the corner of the Forest box was parried out by Sels – but yet again no forward gambled on following the ball in.
Only Liverpool and Arsenal had conceded fewer than the 18 Premier League goals Forest had shipped by the time they headed off for their half-time cuppa.
Nuno’s men had also shipped just 22 big chances to their opposition – the joint-fewest along with Arsenal.
Duran cashed in with the opening goal three minutes later, powering a header beyond Sels from McGinn’s dinked cross to grab his 11th goal of the season.
Chris Wood then had an equaliser agonisingly ruled out by VAR as Elanga was judged a fraction offside before cutting the ball back for the striker.
But Forest were no to be denied.
Milenkovic drew them level when he squeezed a backpost header in off Martinez, one week after opening his account for the season against Manchester United.
And incredibly, three minutes into stoppage time Anderson bundled Cash over and cut the ball back for Elanga to ram the ball beyond Martinez from close range to complete an amazing victory.

ARSENAL and Everton fans united to pay an emotional tribute to Kevin Campbell.
Today’s Premier League 0-0 draw was the first time the two sides have met since the former striker’s sad passing in June.
Campbell adorned the front of the matchday programme[/caption]
His sister presented Bukayo Saka with his Player of the Month trophy before kick-off[/caption]
Tributes poured in from the sporting world in the summer.
And now two of his former sides came together to honour him on Saturday.
The Gunners – for whom Campbell won a league title, FA Cup and League Cup – erected a poster outside the Emirates with pictures of the forward in action for Arsenal and Everton.
It was captioned with his chant “he’s one of our own” plus “Kevin Campbell 1970 – 2024” and the Gunners club badge.
Campbell also featured on the front of the matchday programme and the giant screens inside the ground.
KC’s family were guests in the directors’ box as part of a celebration of his life and Arsenal’s partnership with the Kevin Campbell Foundation.
His sister Lorna presented Bukayo Saka with his Player of the Month award before kick-off in North London.
Then as the players walked out of the tunnel, Arsenal supporters unfurled a spectacular tifo showing old red home shirts with ‘Campbell 7’, ‘Reyes 9’ and ‘Rocastle 7’ in tribute to the trio of former players who have passed away.
Like pal Rocastle, Campbell came through the youth ranks at Arsenal and went on to score 59 goals in 213 appearances for the first team between 1988 and 1995.
He had stints with Nottingham Forest and Trabzonspor before joining Everton in 1999, initially on an emphatic loan with nine goals in eight games.
The striker secured a £3million permanent move and turned out a further 151 times, adding 39 goals, before finishing his career at West Brom then Cardiff.

BILLIONAIRE tech mogul Elon Musk says he could transform transatlantic travel by building a $20 trillion vacuum tube tunnel.
The Tesla and Space X mastermind believes someday tourists may be able to whizz between London and New York in as little as 54 minutes on board an underwater train.
Stock of an underwater train as plans for potential transatlantic travel have been revealed[/caption]
The innovative idea is to create a vacuum within a tunnel that when paired with pressurised vehicles such as a train can travel at 3,000mph[/caption]
Tech mogul Elon Musk says he could transform transatlantic travel by building the tunnel and train system[/caption]
Initial plans for the ambitious tunnel system have been around for years with Musk not being involved in the blueprints.
Clever architects and developers are said to be working on the possibility of creating a tunnel and a train which is capable of reaching speeds of up to 3,000mph.
The innovative idea is to create a vacuum within the tunnel that when paired with pressurised vehicles causes the almighty speeds.
News outlet Newsweek reports: “By creating a vacuum within the tunnel and using pressurised vehicles, trains travelling along the structure could theoretically reach speeds of more than 3,000 mph.
“Making the journey between London and New York barely an hour long.”
The current quickest commercial way of getting across the Atlantic and into the Big Apple is by plane.
A non-stop flight currently takes between seven to eight hours meaning the vacuum tunnel could reduce travel time by up to a third of a day.
This is if it can reach the unprecedented speeds experts believe it could hit.
The current world’s fastest public train, the Shanghai Maglev, reaches a top speed of just 286mph.
But if the vacuum technology and use of jet propulsion can be developed then it could see the new train’s engine capable of soaring to much higher heights.
Despite researchers claiming to have the ability and knowledge to create such a fast-paced and simple route they are still facing a major issue.
Transforming the idea into reality is expected to cost up to $20 trillion (£15.8tn).
The almighty cost is believed to be the biggest stumbling block for any ambitious entrepreneur, bold businessman or even a nation itself to fund the project.
Earlier this week however, X chief Musk commented on the possibility of the tunnel and claimed he could build it for a fraction of the price.
The 53-year-old posted a reply to a viral post about the tunnel saying: “The @boringcompany could do it for 1000X less money.”
The Boring Company are a US infrastructure and tunnel construction company founded by Musk.
They have already been leading the charge for seamless travel after creating a bustling, neon-coloured tunnel underneath Las Vegas.
The company constructed a series of “hyperloop” tunnels around Las Vegas’ Convention Center and near the Hawthorne, California SpaceX headquarters.
Dubbed the Vegas Loop, it spans 1.7 miles and connects riders on the outskirts of the Convention Center facility to the city’s public transit system.
Its main goal to help with traffic congestion in the area.
They are yet to formally announce any plans to work on the London to New York idea despite their founder’s comments.

If Musk’s prediction was to be true then it would bring the cost down to the billions range.
The second major issue with such a transformative project is the potential time and effort it will take to successfully build and test it out.
If it was to be built at the same rate as similar-style tunnel networks across the world, such as the Channel Tunnel then it could take 782 to complete, say Newsweek.
It comes as developers are already looking into shortening the length of time it takes to travel between London and New York.
The XB-1 plane, from Boom Technology, has already completed seven out of ten subsonic test flights as engineers work towards making the aircraft supersonic.
It has hit speeds of Mach 0.81 – or 499 knots, up from Mach 0.67 on its previous flight.
And has reached a new max altitude of 23,015ft.
Musk himself has also spoken about creating a rocket capable of quickening up the journey in recent years.
SpaceX is reportedly building a vehicle that will fire tourists from London to New York in under half an hour dubbed the 18,000mph Starship.

1 week agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Jack in the Box fans spot ‘better’ Snack Wrap dupe on menus and diners say ‘stop hyping McDonald’s’
FANS of Jack in the Box are loving the new snack wrap from the fast-food chain.
The Jack Wraps are on the updated menu at Jack in the Box that launches in the New Year.
Responding on Facebook to food insider Markie Devo’s post announcing the introduction, one fan said: “Jack wraps look and sound hot [fire emojis] I don’t live near one but hopefully find one out and about on vacation”.
While another exclaimed simply “Omg.”
The Chicken Caesar and Chicken Fajita wraps both drop on January 2, along with a host of other goodies.
They’re a dupe for the McDonald’s versions, but taste nicer, according to customers.
“Tbh we stop hyping McDonald’s snack wraps when Jack in the Box has the same thing and better…” wrote one fan on X.
Other new menu additions include Crispy Boneless Wings in two flavors: Smoke Show and Honey Garlic Sriracha.
While also tempting customers is the Fan Favs Box with Crispy Boneless Wings, Tiny Tacos, Onion Rings and Curly Fries.
For those who have worked up a thirst after all that chicken, the new Jack’s Lemonade Tea Infusions with Bursting Boba in Classic and Lemon Razz are ideal to wash it all down.
The food chain updates its menu regularly, releasing seasonal, limited-edition and holiday items throughout the year.
Its new Jack Wraps look like they’ll have competition though, as McDonalds is reintroducing its version.
SNACK WRAP LOVE
Once a staple of the McDonalds menu, the iconic Snack Wrap disappeared in 2016.
Fans have been calling for its comeback ever since and now it looks like they’ve gotten their wish.
A cryptic message posted by the company to social media on December 5 read simply: “Snack Wraps xx.xx.2025.”
Excited customers are predicting the return of the much-missed wrap at the start of next year – which means it could go head-to-head with the Jack in the Box competitor.
More new items from Jack in the Box
January 2 sees other tasty additions to the Jack in the Box menu:
Crispy Boneless Wings in Honey Garlic Sriracha and Smoke Show
Fan Favs Box with Crispy Boneless Wings, Tiny Tacos, Onion Rings and Curly Fries
Jack’s Lemonade Tea Infusions with Bursting Boba in Classic and Lemon Razz
The McDonalds version was popular because of its handy size and the combination of ingredients: crispy or grilled chicken, shredded lettuce and cheese, wrapped up in a soft tortilla.
However, it may not be back in exactly the same form, which is worrying some.
In response to Devo’s post about the return of the fan favorite, one person wrote: “If it’s not the original grilled, I don’t want it.”
Another customer commented that McDonald’s will have “failed us again” if the returning Snack Wraps don’t turn out to be the same.
The returning wrap is likely to be the McCrispy Snack Wrap and there’s been no hint from the company that the grilled option will also be made available.
