THE Tampa Bay Buccaneers revealed an update about the team’s stadium after the landfall of Hurricane Milton.
Videos on social media displayed the NFL stadium during the life-threatening hurricane.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Buccaneers shared a statement concerning the status of Raymond James Stadium following the aftermath of the storm.
The NFL franchise’s statement read, “While site surveys are still being conducted, Raymond James Stadium and the #Bucs practice and training facility seem to have sustained only cosmetic damage,” per Rapoport.
A TikTok clip showed the Bucs’ stadium dealing with heavy rain and wind on Wednesday night.
The video also showed flooding on the field.
Raymond James Stadium has been used as a base for first responders after Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida on Wednesday.
The Buccaneers’ next home game is set for Monday, October 21 against the Baltimore Ravens.
It’s yet to be known if the NFL team will move the date of the matchup due to Raymond James Stadium’s “cosmetic damage.”
The NFL team plays against the division rival New Orleans Saints this weekend and departed earlier than normal due to Hurricane Milton.
The Buccaneers have been practicing at Tulane to prepare for the Week 6 game.
The storm also appeared to cause further damage to Tropicana Field – the home of the Tampa Bay Rays which resides in St. Petersburg.
Videos showed Tropicana Field’s roof ripped off.
The damage has the potential to impact the stadium for the 2025 season.
The Tampa Bay Times reported that “there is no drainage system for the field, so games could not be played without a roof.”
The Rays have plans for a new ballpark in St. Petersburg in the 2028 season but construction on the new venue has yet to take place.
The Buccaneers are on a lease set to expire in 2028 according to The Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud.

Florida had 150 tornadoes and has experienced, unfortunately, multiple deaths among its residents as a result.
Hurricane Milton came two weeks after Hurricane Helene, which hit Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Hurricane Helene has claimed the lives of more than 230 people.
IN a darkly comic bit of foreshadowing, Pete Davidson and Colin Jost officially named their troubled ferry company after the most infamous maritime disaster in American history, The U.S. Sun has learned.
The U.S. Sun exclusively obtained Pete, 30, and Colin’s ferry company’s articles of organization, which were filed two years before the longtime Saturday Night Live friends alleged feud and fallout.
The document, which was filed on January 24, 2022, five days after they won it in an auction, lays out the basics of the business for which the decommissioned Staten Island Ferry was purchased.
Officially incorporated as Titanic 2 LLC, the company is based in New York, and the document lists accounting firm Weygandt, Nesarajah & Company as the LLC’s agent for which any process against Colin and Pete’s company may be served.
The document also clarifies that “one or more members” of Titanic 2 can manage the company.
The comedians really and truly named their business venture after the 1912 Titanic tragedy, which killed around 1500 people when the massive ocean liner crashed into an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the Atlantic.
Soon after their purchase, the comedians’ investment came under fire when the ferry’s former captain revealed darker and more problematic aspects of the vessel.
Ferry Captain Kevin Hennessy, who retired in 2021, told the New York Daily News that the boat was built around the time that asbestos was used in many building materials.
He explained that the asbestos is mostly harmless – until you grind it or drill into it.
On top of the vessel teeming with toxic building chemicals, the captain also claimed the ship had a major cockroach problem, and that they were specifically attracted to compartments beneath the seats where life jackets are stored.
Beyond the major renovations, and possible exterminations the ship would need, it could be years before the boat is up to code to safely accommodate people.
In an interview with The U.S. Sun, Cortney Worrall, president and CEO of the Waterfront Alliance explained with all the red tape they’ll face, it could easily be five years before the floating venue is fully operational.
They are in partnership with comedy club owner Paul Italia and architect Ron Castellano, with the boat being reimagined as an entertainment venue, and possibly as a floating hotel.
Now, with the pals’ decade-long friendship said to be over, was naming their business venture after the Titanic a prophecy of things to come?
One source had previously told The U.S. Sun last month that Pete and Colin have not only stopped speaking but that things have gotten so bad between pals turned business partners that the Weekend Update host now refuses to even be at 30 Rock, where Saturday Night Live is taped if the younger comedian is there.
Pete first checked into rehab in 2017 as he was diagnosed with BPD and PTSD.
In 2019, he went to the Sierra Tucson Treatment Center in Arizona.
The comedian underwent treatment at another mental health facility in June 2023.
Most recently, he checked back into rehab at the end of July 2024.
A source revealed that Pete had left the facility after only a few weeks.
The insider said that Colin, 42, “can’t be in the same building, let alone be in the same room, as Pete,” after “something big” allegedly happened.
The insider said that “Colin doesn’t want to be associated with Pete.”
The situation has also caught the attention of execs at Saturday Night Live, according to the insider, who claimed Pete won’t be invited back on the show anytime soon.
A rep for the show denied this claim to The U.S. Sun.
Pete was on the show from 2014 to 2022 and was invited back as a host in 2023.
The two met a decade ago when Pete joined the SNL cast and the pair formed a bond over their Staten Island roots.
Things, however, have taken a turn with the insider claiming that “Colin doesn’t want to be associated with Pete.”
While it’s unclear exactly how the rift might be impacting the business, the vessel finally saw its first official use when Tommy Hilfiger hosted their New York Fashion Week show aboard it.
While Pete was not in attendance for the ship’s maiden fete, it was Colin however who appeared at the NYFW show on September 8.
Despite the feud, a source close to the ferry deal said that everything has remained afloat and that the vision for the ship has not sunk, despite an alleged rift.
An insider close to the ferry business venture downplayed rumors of a rift.
“They’re both very busy, and don’t talk as much as they used to,” they said, adding that people simply move on.
Despite the claims of a comedian clash, the business insider said that the idea for a proposed restructuring from a decommissioned ferry to an entertainment venue remains afloat.
“Where it ends up all depends on what kind of deal they can get with the City of New York,” adding that since the partners are all from the city, they hope to keep the business there.
Meanwhile, the insider close to the business added that they are in the process of raising money for projects, but would not elaborate further.
AMAZON has closed three of its Go stores in a major city as the company admits it “couldn’t make the economics work”.
The Go locations in New York City shut on September 27, a company spokesperson confirmed.
The tech giant said the leases for these locations were coming up for renewal and therefore decided the costs were too high.
The closed Go locations that featured the company’s Just Walk Out checkout technology were 11 West 42nd Street St., One Liberty and 30 Rockefeller Center.
Amazon is working to find new roles for affected employees within the company.
An Amazon spokesperson said: “When a lease comes up for renewal, it is standard business practice for retailers to evaluate their store portfolio and decide if it is best to renew or to close the location.
“In this case, while these three stores were performing well, we couldn’t make the economics work with the lease cost, so we’ve decided not to renew and have closed these locations.”
The stores at 200 Vesey St. and 150 E. 53rd St. in the Big Apple are still open.
Amazon Go currently has 17 stores in operation in the US, according to their website.
Amazon‘s cashierless checkout system, Just Walk Out, aimed to revolutionize brick-and-mortar stores but has not achieved its expected impact, among other grocery ventures.
Jake Dollarhide, an analyst and co-founder of Longbow Asset Management, spoke about Amazon’s bold decision to enter grocery.
“Some people would call their foray into groceries a mistake, and that would be fair, to an extent,” Dollarhide said, Seattle Times reported.
“They’ve had more closures, resets, and renovations than they’ve actually introduced concepts at this point.”
Dollarhide has also called Amazon’s grocery business an “expensive hobby,” he told CNBC in February.
“Nothing has changed since Day 1 for Amazon groceries,” Dollarhide recently continued, per Seattle Times.
“Everything remains in flux.”
Amazon recently decided to remove Just Walk Out from Fresh grocery stores, closed dozens of stores, paused new store expansions, and reformatted others.
Other recent changes to Amazon’s grocery business include laying off workers, shelving drive-up pickup sites, and experimenting with new subscription models for online shoppers.
Amazon launched Fresh in 2020 and rapidly expanded to 44 stores within two years.
The company has since closed three locations in the US, including one in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, per Seattle Times.
It also planned to halt further expansion of Fresh stores last year.
Despite changes, Amazon remains committed to its grocery efforts, including Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Go, and Whole Foods Market.
However, analysts are skeptical about its success in the competitive grocery market, per the Seattle Times.
“We continue to be optimistic about what we’re doing in grocery,” Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said on an April investors call.
“We have lots of ways that we can continue to help customers satisfy their grocery needs.”
Amazon’s entry into the grocery business began nearly two decades ago with online nonperishable goods and expanded with Amazon Go, Fresh stores, and the Whole Foods acquisition in 2017.
Amazon’s grocery market share remains small compared to competitors like Walmart, Kroger, and Costco.
Walmart currently leads in both total grocery spending and e-commerce grocery sales.
Analysts such as Sucharita Kodali from Forrester believe Amazon is not a significant player in fresh foods and that traditional grocery chains like Kroger should not see Amazon as a major threat, per the Seattle Times.
Amazon’s online grocery sales, though growing, still lag behind Walmart’s.
The introduction of Just Walk Out technology in 2016 was a notable innovation but has not led to the widespread transformation Amazon had envisioned.
Industry observers and analysts remain skeptical about Amazon’s long-term success in the low-margin grocery industry.

Now, a John Doe is suing the star claiming he worked for him as his former director of intelligence and was tasked with investigating Bianca and his former in-laws, the Kardashians.
In new court documents seen by The U.S. Sun, the man alleges Kanye never paid him for the work carried out over several months and it has caused him emotional distress.
He is said to have worked with the star, known as Ye, around December 2022, and was initially brought on board to be his campaign manager for his presidential run.
Papers alleged, “A particularly notable task by YE was to have DOE hire private investigators to follow and ‘tail’ his wife, Bianca Censori, when she was traveling alone to visit family in Australia, without Ms. Censori’s knowledge.
“JOHN DOE was also tasked by YE with investigating the Kardashian family and supposed various criminal links YE believed they had with criminal enterprises, including alleged sex trafficking.”
There has never been any suggestion the Kardashian family has been involved in any criminal enterprise.
Doe claims he initially had a lengthy discussion with Kanye at The Edition Hotel in Los Angeles, where the star occupied the top floor.
YE himself called DOE to yell, curse, and threaten DOE with great bodily injury, including death.”
Lawsuit against Kanye West
“When YE entered the waiting area where DOE was, the first
thing YE said was he had plans to build cars in South America and ‘save the world!’,” the lawsuit claims.
“By the summer of 2023, JOHN DOE was also brainstorming ideas to keep Ye in the news, including a discussion of getting involved with both national and international headlines, handling investigations and NDAs, eventually transitioning to full-time work for Yeezy.
“DOE would spend time fixing certain problems of YE himself, such as items that were stolen or lost, prompting further investigations.
“It was common for YE to lose expensive cars or fail to pay people for services rendered at YE’s direction.”
The lawsuit claims on or about May 14, 2024, Kaney began to let most of the Yeezy leadership team go, which has been confirmed by sources to The U.S. Sun.
Doe claims the star’s behavior became erratic during that time.
“Soon thereafter, JOHN DOE received a call from an employee of Donda Academy (a school run by Defendants at that time), informing DOE that abuse of children had occurred at Donda and that supposedly nothing was done to correct or report the problem,” the suit reads.
“DOE immediately informed the remaining YEEZY leadership of the report about the Donda student(s).
“Almost immediately thereafter on the same day, YE himself called DOE to yell, curse, and threaten DOE with great bodily injury, including death, if DOE repeated what DOE learned from the Donda employee.”
According to the suit, Kanye shouted at Doe, “You’re f***ing dead to me” and also played bizarre recordings of voices that were threatening harm.

The lawsuit further claims that in the weeks that followed, Doe received more threats from Kanye’s associates, who were known as “enforcers”.
“Plaintiff DOE is a military veteran diagnosed with PTSD, and these
threats exacerbated the PTSD. A diagnosis YE had knowledge of through text messages exchanges with DOE.
“The stress and trauma caused by the threats, hostile work environment, and Plaintiff’s exposure to illegal and unethical activities severely impacted his mental and emotional well-being.
“Plaintiff experienced panic attacks, anxiety, and severe emotional distress, which caused him to seek medical treatment and was placed in a facility to address his declining mental health.”
Kanye has no current legal representation, is yet to respond to the lawsuit, and did not return requests for comment from The U.S. Sun on Thursday.
The new lawsuit is one of several the embattled artist is facing from former staff, alleging everything from wrongful termination to sexual harassment.
He has responded to very few suits and fallen out with multiple lawyers, his most recent being Brian Brumfield, who dropped out of multiple cases.
Brumfield alleged in court docs that Kanye terminated their working relationship on June 21.
“Defendant also will not speak to counsel and defendant refuses to pay counsel as well,” Brumfield alleged.
He has not received to calls for comment since on how much the star still owes him.

A DRIVER was left unable to get around when his vehicle broke down just after he bought it, but when he took it back, he was left $2,000 out of pocket.
Ken Bartnik says he had gone just a block and a half from the dealership when his SUV came to a sputtering halt.
The driver from Flower Mound northwest of Dallas, Texas, said he went no faster than 15 mph before the car broke down.
That was almost two months ago, but Ken still has no working car.
On top of that, the dealership refused to refund the $2,000 cash down payment he made when buying the vehicle.
Ken told The Dallas Morning News he first saw an ad for the 2012 Chevy Malibu on Craigslist, for sale from a Dallas dealership, 101 Financial LLC.
He said the ad told him he could buy it with “No credit, bad credit, no problem!!!”
But the first warning sign was when he arrived at the dealership and the car he wanted wasn’t there.
He saw a 2009 Mercedes GL 450 for sale that also appealed to him, but was told he couldn’t drive it because the suspension was under repair.
The salesman asked him how much he wanted to spend, to which Ken replied $2,000.
The salesman asked Ken to show him the money, and he handed it over, never to be seen again.
Ken asked how much the Mercedes cost and was told he would learn the price once the paperwork had been drawn up.
He signed and was given the keys, despite never even going for a test drive.
On its very first drive home from the dealership, the Mercedes broke down.
He had been told the suspension had been fixed, but now the accelerator didn’t work.
Ken had the car towed to his house, fearing he might lose the money and the vehicle.
He demanded a refund from the dealership and was told the money would take four to six weeks and come from New York.
But when he called the owner, Ken told The Watchdog, “He picked up the phone one time and said he was real busy and couldn’t deal with me right now.”
Ken didn’t give up.

He was so persistent that the dealership blocked his phone number.
One staffer said that if he showed up on their property, they would call the cops and have him arrested for trespassing.
